Hello,
I come here to ask you some help for my first ever hardbrick that happened to my Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL
I installed multiple ROMs on it but always installed them clean, with all the precaution needed, and it worked pretty well
I was using it normally, I opened an application and then: black screen, and nothing else
No way to start it just after, I had to go back home, I plugged it, and it acted pretty weirdly: sometimes it booted up to the boot menu (Start system, recovery etc...) and then the screen turned black, or then it was just vibrating for a long time and doing nothing else
As far as I know, it didn't have any contact with water or what, but because of the doubt, I put it on rice
I tried to turn it on hours after, and it booted up the system normally, since it turned off suddenly with a black screen once again, so I put it back in rice, and plugged it and tried to turn it on once again and then: nothing
Not even a charging battery screen, no LED, nothing
And when I plugged it on my computer, it appeared as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
Is there a way for me to unbrick it or is it dead?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I have had some trouble with my Vogue. At first it simply would not turn on. I would get a red light when I plugged the phone in to charge it. I have been using my old phone for several months now. Today I went out to the nearest Bell store and it seems like anything new is going to cost in the $500 area because I still have 1 year left on my contract. So I have renewed my interest in getting my Vogue working again
The original thread describing my original problem (with the red light) is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=546674
I purchased a new battery and now when I plug it in on the USB I can turn it on (no lights, red, green, or otherwise) but it does turn on. It boots up just passed the blue “Bell” splash screen and then reboots. It does this over and over again.
I am able to get into the boot loader screen by holding down the power and camera buttons and pressing the reset button.
Any ideas on what I can do? Any suggestions are welcome.
Regards,
The Fish
Reflash your rom when you get to the bootloader screen.
If you are unlocked flash nfsfan or whatever, just rename the nbh file to 'VOGUIMG.nbh' and it will flash.
If you were on stock you'll need the nbh from the stock package.
OK, here is an update
I have tried a hard-reset (press Send and End buttons at the same time and press reset button). This worked but the phone still kept rebooting. Tried the original battery, phone booted a little further up before rebooting.
I got the phone into boot loader mode and left it plugged in on the USB cable for a few minutes. This time when I rebooted I became ecstatic. I got all the way to the “align your screen” stage before hearing the “phone is dying” sound and the phone turned off. So here is what I think may have happened:
I have long lost the home charger kit. So I have, for as long as I can remember, been charging it by plugging it into a PC via the USB. This is fine except that Windows will only power the USB for the device if there is a driver installed. The device/phone looks different to Windows when it is in boot loader mode then when it is fully booted up. If the device is so dead as to not even have a flicker of life I don't think Windows sees it.
I have been doing this tonight under Linux. Linux seems to either have the driver, a more generic driver or powers the USB all the time for any device. I noticed this same behavior when charging my Moto Razr the same way. Under Linux it just worked by plugging it in. Under Widows I had to install the driver. So maybe here is what happened.
The battery got SO dead that it was not able to boot the phone up far enough for Windows on the PC to see it, recognize it and begin powering the USB port. Perhaps leaving the phone in bootloader mode and plugged into a Linux box got the battery a little more charged till I got to the point of being able to align the screen.
Anyway, I am more then ever convinced that this is some kind of battery/power issue. The phone is now lying here powered up and charging (already at 20%). The carrier customizations ran, rebooted while I crossed my fingers, and came back up. I even called *BELL and got a message about activating my phone. Tomorrow if the phone is charged up and behaving normally I will get an ESN change done and be back in the world of decent smartphones. Man have I ever missed my Google Maps
The next step is to flash a more up-to-date ROM... if I dare mess with a good thing.

Hello.
I have a problem with my LG G2, it got bricked yesterday. I was playing some game and suddenly it turned off and keep restarting on LG logo. After couple tries with powering off and on it turned on, I wasn't at home so I could not do the backup. After an hour bootloop started again, today after >30 tries it turned on but unluckily I was at the gym at that moment, after 30 minutes bootlooping started all over. I tried over couple hundred times but to turn it on and do the backup but no luck.
I am able to get into download mode but I dont think it's the full one, when plugging into computer it maked couple hardrives saying they need formatting
LG is detected as qhsusb_bulk in device manager.
I am able to get into factory settings but I don't have CWM. My device is not rooted. Probably it doesn't have usb debugging on.
Oh and theres one strange thing, I cannot turn the phone off (during bootloop) when it's plugged into charger, if I hold power button a red led blinks 8 times.
Is there any chance I could backup my data or fix it without erasing? It's very important because there are over 3 thousand photos.
I will be really grateful for help.
my S7edge, with Stock ROM, never flashed or hacked it.
was working perfectly fine.
Last software update package was a week or 2 ago.
Today, the phone suddenly froze while I'm using it, then restarted and kept rebooting automatically in an endless loop.
I tried to force it to go to recovery mood... it would go to a blue screen saying : "Installing updates" and nothing happens.
kept rebooting into safe mode or recovery/download mode until it suddenly just went totally off.
The charger wires were a bit cut lately, so it would give a broken charging lately, not sure if that caused any kind of problems to the battery or mother board.
Since then, I am not able to turn it on again in any mode.
It also doesn't show any indications when a charger is connected.
So right now it is just dead with no signs at all. non responsive to any force power ON nor to charging.
I left it for more than 5 hours now without charging, nothing changed.
Update:
So I left it overnight. In the morning, I connected the charger and indeed it drained to 0% and started being responsive to charging again.
As soon as it charged to 20% I powered it on. It loaded into recovery, giving the no command screen. Then I went on and selected system reboot.
Then it rebooted and Android started, as soon as I tried unlocking it, it froze and started again into an endless rebooting loop until it blacked out again. Now again not responsive.
I will leave it to drain again. Does anyone know what I shall do when it gets to that endless rebooting sequence. It is obvious that Android had a malfunction... not sure what as I didn't do anything new last week..
Is there a way to get it through without factory reset?
Thanks

Bro flash latest stock rom
Solved !
It was already on stock ROM.
After lots of troubleshooting, rebooting in safe mode without the SD card worked fine. I then rebooted in Recovery mode, wiped the cashe, rebooted again normally with no SD card. Then inserted the SD card after.... got a message that SD card is not supported (seems it got corrupted somehow).
Anyways, now it's fine... let's see for how long...
Hello everyone, initially sorry for my English, I use Google
Method 11-16-2021
My case: after a MIUI update it crashed, the symptoms: it did not turn on, it did not enter Recovery, it did not enter Fastboot, it did not load
What I did initially: I googled all the possible methods and none worked, it just worked to disconnect the battery so that at least it would charge; then I found the solution to let the battery drain completely and recharge it until it turns on to 100%, but it was still stuck on an infinite reboot. I left the 4Gb / 128Gb equipment for 7 months for lost, I tried to contact the warranty without any response ... Note: never use temperature methods for the chips, nor for the board, nor jumpers, anything electronic.
If you recognize by usb on the PC, the driver: "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008", then you need to do this:
The solution:
1- Simply disconnect the battery and the flex from the screen and then reconnect them.
2- Now leave it like this for 8 days (8 because 2 or 3 does not work, in my case it does not work) until the battery is completely discharged (you should not do anything else, it will discharge itself)
3- After 8 days, connect it to the original charger and let it charge for 5 minutes, without disconnecting the charger, click the power button and it should turn on normally as if nothing had happened; I know it seems like a funny or stupid thing, but that method worked for me, maybe it was luck, I don't know, I had been fighting for a solution for 3 months, I just wanted to enthusiastically share this solution before they damage their mobile phones by doing experiments with their motherboards. I wish you luck.
Note 2: the phone was only discovered to release the battery and flexible screen, nothing else for that, ok
Update: 12-17-2021
It cannot be turned off because it returns and does not turn on or load, nor does it restart; But after this, simply disconnect the battery first and then the screen flex, reconnect them and it will turn on without any problem. It is a temporary solution that works perfect for me while over time I know what the real problem is if it is hardware or software
Saw today that there was the MIUI 14 Update for the POCO.
Downloaded, unpacked and then it said restart, pressed restart.
It turned off and never on again.
Tried holding power button, charging, fast boot, holding here and there nothing. Blackscreen.
Opened the phone, unplugged both screen and battery, plugged in. Nothing. Tried it a few times and then upon charging it installed the updated, turned off blackscreen.
Tried everything from above again, nothing. Saw that upon plugging on my PC it showed QDLoader 9008 so probably EDL. If i unplugged and plugged in I heard a sound on my PC. If i held the power button i also heard the sound when you connect a device.
Opened the phone up again, removed the mainboard and tried to remove that small metal cover from the mainboard. Couldnt get it off even with enough heat applied. Heated the mainboard according to a different thread: Mainboard Part
Now when i charge the phone it shows me the battery display but if i press the power button the phone doesnt boot. Without charging it also doesnt show any sign of life. I didnt plug in all parts such as camera etc. yet
Does anyone know what to do now, cant afford a new phone.

If i plug it into a charger it shows 90%
PC shows it as a drive (E:/) Linux no more 9008
still no reaction after connecting everything

When the phone is connected to edl mode, the next procedure for recovery is simple, you have to look for the procedure, for example here.
I solved it by heating up the metal cover and the mainboard as shown on the "mainboard part image". If you reasamble the phone make sure that your mainboard is connected to the button connectors, that was my issue. For some reason it wasnt connected and therefore the buttons were not working.
Support was literally useless and the warranty in germany is a scam.
Trash phone. Never going to buy POCO again.
