The vibrate function on my HD2 has not been working from day dot so I decided to open it up and check the vibrator. I pushed the vibrator in tight and closed it all up again.
When I turned on the phone, the screen was displaying what looked like 256 colours. The screen is still responsive and everything else seems to work (except of course for the vibrator).
Question is: Have I broken the screen or is there a connection problem which would cause this?
Any ideas please?
Im not really sure. Was there anything you did that made it stop working?
ok - for anyone in the same situation. I have managed to put a 3mm split in the flexi cable between screen and motherboard.
Off to ebay to get a new one now.
Hey,
i repaired my touch Digitizer, the Display was fully functional. Everything worked perfekt.
Now when im turning on the Phone, there is just a bright white Screen. After few seconds it goes less bright.
The Phone is working, i can feel the Vibration if i touch the Code to unlock the Phone or if i move the Apps at the unlocked Homescreen. I can also connect it with the computer. I checked the Connections of the Display, Digitizer and the other things few times.
I dont believe, i broke something... hope you can help me. And sry my english is not perfekt

Background:
So my wifes screen on her Samsung Note 3 is completely smashed, and I believe the digitizer is too as the screen does not respond either. the phone turns on as the buttons has lights and I also get a heptic feedback when I hold down the power button on the phone to turn it on.
I need the the photos, photos were not backed up, not on the SD, and USB Debuggin I believe was off. I tried to connect the phone to 3 different PCs and with different cables, but the pcs do not allow me to see the phones camera folder.
replacing the screen would cost more than the phone cost, and the phone is anyway only being used as a second phone so don't want to shed out that much money.
QUESTION:
I have another Samsung Note 3, so my question was, can I take the screen and digitizer from that one and put it on the broken one and then get the photos and then swap the screen and digitizer back?
Also at work we have a Cellebrite device, but when I tried to extract all the data out of the phone with that, the device asked me to press on "allow this computer" on the phone, but as the screen is broken I can't do this :/
I would really appreciate if anyone can shed some light! thanks guys

Yes I believe it is possible to do such a thing as long as you are prepared to spend enough time on this. Look on YouTube and ifixit and the internet for screen replacement videos and guides and instead of replacing with new screen use the guide to put that other good note 3 screen on your broken one, then use the same guide again to disassemble it and then do as you please by either leaving the broken screen phone or putting the broken screen back into the phone. So yes it is possible but be careful and look at guides carefully.

Hello everyone,
I have a LG G2 with a broken LCD and digitizer. I can't see a thing. However, I have a mouse and an OTG cable that allows me to still control the phone (I had been doing this when just the glass digitizer screen was cracked but then the LCD went out too). The phone is still functional, since I can still receive/answer phone calls and text via MightyText, so I wanted to know if I could somehow just cast what is displayed on the phone to my computer. I don't think USB debugging is on either. If I could turn on usb debugging, instead, then I would just use some of the other methods I have seen on the web to show the phone screen on my computer.
Thanks in advanced for your help guys!
Does anyone know if there is another option in TWRP for activating commands besides the slide bar. Reason I ask is my G2 screen is messed up at the moment. There is a dead space at the bottom of the screen that cuts right thru the slide bar making it impossible to slide the arrow to the right. So I can't do anything in TWRP at the moment. I looked for other options or a way to allow for screen rotation, but didn't see anything. Until my replacement screen comes in, i'm kind of screwed unless someone knows of another way to do things.
Thanks...
