Hi,
I'm on this since morning today and still stuck.
I'm flashing the stock 6.0.1 image (https://github.com/motoxplay/stock/...562_LUX_RETASIA_DS_6.0.1_MPD24.107-52.xml.zip) via FASTBOOT successfully.
After the first boot, I flash the recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/orig-development/recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0-t3194656) which also goes fine.
But when I flash SuperSU (https://download.chainfire.eu/921/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip) ... it gets stuck at the boot logo.
It must be 20th time I reflashed the ROM trying various things. What am I doing wrong??
Thanks

That's doesn't make sense, can you explain what it means? Which recovery, which rom was installed and was working? You wipes system and data, ok. What did you do then?

seems you don't know what you need cm isn't the same as cos, the difference is huge.
For cos12.1 stock rom you can get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/help/how-to-make-device-stock-t3515921/post70007487
Flash it with all in one tool, it's the easiest way.
Cm13 you can flash it though twrp.

You didn't understand or read my post... You need to flash stock firmware with fastboot. I didn't wrote flash it with twrp.
Use the all in one tool. It's called so, because you can do all with it. Like downloading stock rom and flash it :good:

Use all in one tool to boot into bootloader. Read carefully or your next step is qfil method
Here's a good guide in case you're don't get it through aoi tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/general/qpst-method-how-to-unbrick-to-stock-t3506833
But better to check again if you can flash stock cos rom with tool

Well done
Hi xda,
I'm new into the world of flashing so any help would be nice.
I used this tuto:
https://rootmydevice.com/tutorials/root-samsung-galaxy-a40/
and downloaded twrp image from this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a40/development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-a40-t3968586
After flash phone restarted as intented but it keeps booting, I tried also some methods how to enter recovery mode while bootlooping but they didn't work out. I also want to flash pixel experience rom.
Thanks for any help provided.
Use the TWRP from this thread.
Your TWRP is not working anymore with actual firmware.

Ok, thanks for help, my ROM is currently booting
flash vbmeta
Problem caused: Factory reset in custom ROM, causing the phone to boot into twrp (even when plug in charger)
Method: refer to post #6 below
Anghirrim_shared_drive (Maintained by Anghirrim)
OP: Tried to perform a factory reset on LOS 14.1, it didn't go as plan. The phone boots into twrp, after I tried to flash LOS 14.1 over MM_rootable. The phone keeps booting into twrp, even though there is a ROM installed.
I assume I messed my boot partition tho?
Did more searching on this issue, from other model of phone also experiencing similar issue. It was a twrp bootloop.
my best bet is to grab a boot.img and flash it.
@Anghirrim sorry to interupt you, but do you have any method for fixing this?
Currently stuck at twrp. even I tried to boot into system/ download mode/ bootloader etc. It just bring me back to twrp. Couldn't use LGUP becoz I can't get into download mode. now I stuck with a phone with only twrp.
Tried flashing MM_flashable and return flashed successfully, but still boot into twrp.
Edit: Tried to plug my phone into a charger, brings me into twrp

Hi, did you try to factory reset it under stock flashable firmware ? Because if you did so, it will bootloop into TWRP trying to reach stock recovery.

Phone flashed, still trying out the ROM.
will give an update a week later
@Anghirrim Nice ROM, everything I wanted is included in the rom.
but I have some problem with magisk manager, it wasn't working. (coz I want to get root)
1. How to get twrp
2. and therefore flash magisk manager
Edit: Nah, just have to redo it. Everything was good.
Maybe one day I should port AEX to another phone (cough cough Galaxy S2 cough cough).
