SM-T580 Froze after Odin TWRP flash - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

Latest version of Odin, all needed USB drivers installed and latest TWRP Flash went smoothly 100% pass.
But on tablets screen it stopped on that last pixel and doesn't respond to anything anymore. Gave it 15min to figure itself out didn't do anything. Tried to hold powerbutton to force shut down 15-20sec -> Nothing happens.
Tablets screen just stays on at that Download mode and computer / odin still reacts to it when plugged to USB.
Re-flashing TWRP with Odin stops at SetupConnection and doesnt flash immediatetly anymore and if given more time after solid 10min it gives FAIL.
What now?

[SM-G900F] Device reboots 3 seconds after display goes off

Device was working fine until OTA update to 6.0.1 (MMB29M.G900FXXU1CQDA). It wouldn't boot past the Samsung logo.
I downloaded that same firmware (and the one before) and flashed it via Odin 3.12.7, however situation remained the same.
Flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 and then PhoenixROM 15.0 and device booted fine. However it would always reboot after display stays off for 3 seconds.
Flashed TWRP 3.1.0-1 and then LineageOS 14.1-20170802 and device booted fine again. The reboot problem remained the same.
The reboot problem is NOT present while device is connected to a PC, however it is present while connected to an AC wall socket.
Each time the display goes off the device stays off for 15 seconds before booting again.
Anyone got similar experience, any advice?

Did. Same case as with Marshmallow.
However there has been further issues, seems the phone can't be saved.
After flashing Lolipop the phone wouldn't boot via power button, but instead I need to boot it to Download mode and hit cancel.
This however makes it go to Recovery mode. Trying to boot the system from Recovery makes it power off.
Tried flashing TWRP back and when I enter it, the device keeps choosing random options rapidly, as if it's constantly detecting touch across the screen.
Therefore I'm no longer able to flash LineageOS back.
Gave up on the device in the end, seems to be defective.

It sounds like the touch screen is going wonky. Or the mobo has an issue. You could get it diagnosed at a shop reasonably cheap

s7 edge reboots in logo need help please

Hello guys i have a strange problem. i am using my s7edge for over a year (finally was in batman rom).
After updating to marshmallow i encountered this problem where sometimes rarely my phone reboots (reboot- - show samy logo - then reboot). sometimes after few reboots it will comeback and some other time. i need to wait till it discharges fully and charge it it comes back. (but its so random though. totally happened 3 - 4 times last year)
from last week it happened quite often once a day and from yesterday it keeps rebooting in logo no matter what i do. when this happens only download mode is accessible and twrp recovery is not accessable at all. so i waited till it discharges fully but that does not help.since download mode is accessible i used Odin and flashed stock firmware, still the same result(tried several times). its just keeps rebooting in logo even after flashing with stock firmware via Odin and i have no more options to go for. is my device hard bricked? any more options i can try??? my final hope is someone here will help me.:crying::crying:
Thank you
Oh! I just posted a similar question. After several tries, I sorted out a way to make it boot:
1) With the latest samsung drivers on my notebook, I've downloaded the latest Odin (Odin3_v3.12.3) with this stock rom from sammobile (G935FXXU1DQJ4_G935FUUB1DQJ4_ARO). According to this page this rom works in Argentina and the ARO means it is used on unlocked devices. Then it has no bloatware or any company logo.
2)Charged it for a few minutes until it reached 2~3%. Vol Down + Home + Power (in that order) and entered 'Download mode'. Then plugged it into the pc.
3) Opened AP, BL, CSC and CP files, then flashed it. Once it restarts, try to get it into recovery mode with volup+home+power and charge it. I used a power bank. Then wipe cache and factory reset. Then reboot to system and let it loop until it gets into the OS.
The one I've got in quarantine is working smooth.

Galaxy a5 sm-520f flash failed phone won't turn on but pc detects and charges

Hi, i tried flashing galaxy a5 2017 from 7.0 to 6.0.1, the flash failed and the phone became stuck in download mode, odin stopped detecting it and wouldn't restart, totally unresponsive. I got the back off and unplugged the battery and back in so i could restart it but it wouldn't restart, no response at all.
When i plug it in socket or pc it starts charging with the circle and % on screen and when the screen dims it lights back up when pressing home and either volume but not power. Also when plugged into pc odin detects the phone and allows the adding of the roms but gets stuck on setupconnection.
I've tried recovery like power and volume down for 10-15 seconds and nothing, tried safe mode and downloading mode, every combination i could find. The firmware i got was from updato which is A520FXXU1APLL VOD United Kingdom (Vodafone). I'm in the uk.
There's no damage to the power button.
Any help please?
Thanks
Sorted it out

Stuck in logo after flashing stock. Can't boot into recovery. PC doesn't recognize.

So, I rooted and tried flashing the stock ROM (from Sammobile, same country, same exact model [SM-G950F], I already had the stock ROM and had never flashed anything else to the phone other than root, June security update, my phone had July's) to see if I could fix a problem that couldn't be fixed with any other method I had tried.
Everything in Odin seemed to go well, I got the PASS green box at the end. But then the phone couldn't go pass the Samsung logo when booting up. I left it quite a few minutes, before trying to boot into recovery mode and wiping data. Only to realize that I couldn't boot into recovery mode. In fact, I can't even turn the phone off. No combination of hardware keys works other than power button + bixby + vol down, to get into download mode. But that's of no use, because when I plug my phone into my PC (with the same cable and port I used before to root and flash the firmware into it) it is not recognized by Odin or the PC.
It just has the Samsung logo flashing slowly over and over because I can't turn the device off. By the time the battery dies out I'll most likely have the logo burnt into the display.
I also haven't been able to find any help online. Everyone's suggestion is “boot into recovery and wipe data”, but I can't do that.
Is my phone gone for good?

Hard Bricked SM-9G35FD (S7 edge), need Unbrick Image. Help!

My device restarted and after a software update and got stuck on a boot loop. I was able to get the phone initially into download mode as I thought I would try flashing it with ODIN back to the previous firmware. But since I haven't been to Sammobile in years, I didn't realize that the download would take hours.
So i tried force rebooting the phone again (vol down+power) in the meantime and nothing happened it was still stuck on the boot screen. So I left the phone connected to the charger and after a while I saw that it was back in downloading mode (but no ODIN mentioned in the top left corner)? I thought that was strange and since I had the download ready to flash, thought to make sure it was in download mode (proper) by pressing power+vol down+home. But this time the screen went black and now seems to be hard bricked and completely unresponsive (with only the blinking blue led) -. I've scoured the interent and the consensus seems to be that a USB jig won't work, will try it though. I'm really looking for an unbrick image to try booting it from the SD card. Would really appreciate the help! I've already tried the adb reboot download etc, but my computer and another one doesn't seem to detect the device. Please help!
