PreUnlock Questions. Keeping DRM keys? Root implications? Restrictions? - Moto G5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi, after over a year without unlocking my Moto G 5 Plus I'm eager to make the move to unlock and root it. But I've seen that things have changed quite a bit since the last time I rooted my old phone.
As far as I know unlocking the bootloader wipes the DRM keys for ever. What implications does that have? Is there any way to back them up before unlocking to restore them later? What won't work without them?
Will it influence Netflix and Banking apps like Mobilepay (Denmark)? From what I could find out Magisk can help to patch the system without being detected. How does Safety net detect system changes? How to prevent an accidental system change that would break SafetyNet? What about future updates to SaftyNet?
I'm mainly planning to unlock Camera2 API and Miracast. And also install XPosed and some audio enhancement mod if possible. Would any of these break SafetyNet? Would a 64bit ROM break SafetyNet?
Any information is highly appreciated.

Does unlocking the bootloader leave traces apps can see?

My apologies if this is a well-known question/answer, but I've not been able to find anything...
I have an old GS4 which was nicely rooted. Some apps try to determine if you've got root and so the eXposed "Root Cloak" module came in handy.
Yesterday I received my Moto X Pure. So little bloat on it that I almost decided I didn't need root. But, wow, I'd forgotten just how many adverts spring up all over the place. OK, root needed. Reading around it seems that to root this device requires unlocking the bootloader and using TWRP. OK... I can do that.
But the question I have is whether this will stop the "oh noes, malware!" detecting apps from running because my device is now "insecure".
(Alternatively, ability to block ads inside apps without needing root would work )
Thanks!
So I took this risk, anyway. Unlocked the bootloader (which caused a reset of the phone), reinstalled my apps etc etc, and they seem to work and are not complaining about the unlocked loader.
So that's good

H918 Encryption with root

Hi folks,
Is there any way to get device encryption with root for the H918? I need encryption for work (and also would like it in case I lose the phone). I can live with stock root or a custom rom, as long as device encryption works.
Thanks!

Make Encryption work with Root

Hello,
I have very important security needs and I'm forced to have my data encrypted everywhere.
However on all my old androids phone encryption work perfectly with custom recovery and root.
How can I enable both encryption and root on my brand new SM-G950F ???
I have look everywhere, impossible to find anybody who have an encrypted S8 running with Magisk and a custom recovery
I have experience with Android and Linux and I am willing to try everything to avoid reselling a phone that I love and that I bought just today...
I have the very same problem. Did you find a solution for having both, root and encryption?
i would like to know also

Just an idea/question

So I have ls997 as most may know already.
We all know it is not root able past ZV7.
Now to the question...
Since we are stuck for full root stock on 7.0, would it be possible just to flash the required SDK/ Libs from Oreo+ in order to be able to run Oreo+ required apks?
Sure there are manipulation apks that allow value changes, but those are half ass lol.
If this is doable, this would be an awesome work around.
Lineage is nice, but it has issues.

General Rooting Questions

I have the LTE version of the tablet (SM-T725 running android 10 (fully up to date), UK). The device is (so far) unmodified. It was bought through Vodafone, but has never had a network lock.
To give a general overview of my experience, I have rooted the majority of my android devices in the past, but this is my first Samsung device for a several years.
I have a few questions, I hope someone can answer them.
1 - Will unlocking the bootloader and installing this kernel(https://forum.xda-developers.com/ta...el-luiskernel-gts4lvwifi-gts4lvlte-t3977343), twrp, and magisk, result in any features being lost? (Dex, HDMI, USB OTG storage, HD netflix, anything relating to knox, good lock, etc.)
1A - If any features will be lost, is it possible to restore them through, for example, a magisk module, and if so, which ones?
2 - Are there any apps I should expect to stop working completely?
3 - Is it possible to backup the tablet's data prior to unlocking the bootloader in a way that allows it all to be restored after installing the kernel/twrp/magisk?
4 - Is there anything else I should know before unlocking the bootloader and installing the kernel/twrp/magisk?
5 - How will future system updates work? Obviously OTA is out of the question, but what other methods are available, and are there any downsides?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any help in answering these questions.
