HELP!! Widevine L1 support lost after flashing fastboot rom! - Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Questions & Answers

I recently flashed stock ROM on my max pro m1(6gb) running pixel experience.
After flashing stock ROM my device lost widevine l1 support(maybe due to some problem of persist partition?)
Is there any way I can get widevine L1 support? or should I simply go to Asus service center?

im havung same issue in 057

If your phone is in 057, downgrade to older firmware version. It is a known issue in 057 update.

My Device was in warranty so I locked the bootloader and sent it in for repair, I don't know how but they managed to get L1 back on my device. I think its something related to tz partition(trustzone-This is where the L1 cert is stored). Maybe try erasing tz partition and reflashing that partition.

If you are running stock 057 rom then it's a rom issue don't worry in next update it'll probably be fixed.

I've been willing to change rom for a while now but after digging a little, I haven't found anyone with the same build number of mine.
Also it says my system is the latest version and I cannot update.

it strange that your system doesn't show any update. You should be on 232 now (android 6.0). YOu can try to manually flash the complete rom through sptool or update manually one by one using the inbuilt updater.

will this void my warranty?
and thanks a lot for the reply

Your ROM is intended for a specific Telco and more likely you will not receive any update unless your Telco will release the update. If you click system update it will always say it's the latest version. Same case with me here but I already updated to S232. Normally warranty will not be void if you flash using stock ROM. But if you unlock the bootloader the warranty will be void.

[LP][MM] Lenovo K4 Note STOCK Roms (S152) (S232 volte) by anshubham
- Since it was my first time to flash K4 Note, I flashed it with S152 from S102 without unlocking bootloader to preserve the warranty. Of course the FW became generic instead of the original with operator name in it. After I got S152 , I updated it via OTA, a series of updates until I got S232. I hope this helps.

Seeking Stock ROM for Nokia 6 TA-1000

Hi, there are TA-1003 ROM available to flash the phone, but this is consider as custom ROM for TA-1000, and will not getting any system updates.
Hence, I am seeking whether anybody has the stock ROM for TA-1000? It's okay without Google apps, but at least must be a genuine TA-1000 ROM.
Thank you.

So far no luck with CECT Shop & Nokia Chat Support.
Another possibility is to change your phone's build number, which you need to root your phone etc. Tiring, and I don't want to brick the phone again haha.
Now I am using the phone after flashing the TA-1003 ROM, still searching for the correct ROM everyday.

I've returned my Nokia 6 to the Seller for their flashing original software back. If they fails I would demand refund. Meanwhile any devs manage to find the way of flashing for Nokia 6. Someone has been trying to do that with the help of Box BEST NK2 v1.00 - Nokia HMD edition.

Troubles with update !

Hello !
I have some troubles with the update system of my phone (L31C432B161).
I flashed a custom rom when I was in android 7.0 and I wanted to come back in rom stock. I did a wrong thing and now, I'm locked in B161.
If I try to update it, the version shows beta test key or something like that and my phone has a lot of bugs.
I need help please ! :/
If you have the warranty, go to the official HUAWEI service and tell them that you never received any sort of update (of course lie.). If it works, they will update your phone
Resolved ! They changed my phone.

I have a OP6T McLaren from China and I'd like to upgrade from HydrogenOS to OxygenOS.
By the way seems like that some people are having problem with bricked phones (also just upgrading OxygenOS to the latest version):

I am so perplexed at why no one can find my rom. Its right there, under roms. U cant miss it guys.
It's clearly a fascinating cognitive process to be able to land on Q&A section and not having the curiosity to explore the near vicinity and search what's around

My apologies on your failure to understand my statement, let me rephrase clearly -
I'm not looking for a ported ROM, I need the actual stock ROM as I have a McLaren device which is not not booting due to some mess up - which I assume, can be solved by a stock ROM flash.
Jack, I've read your thread and it seems that there's another user who's having the same issue. The international ROM is not compatible on the McLaren device and it will cause it to bootloop. Mine doesn't bootloop, just stops loading after the splash screen.
Would you by any chance happen to have the initial stock ROM with you which you used to create the port ? Or have you posted it somewhere already which I'm unable ton search and find it? It sucks to be in a country where there is no official OnePlus support available. Any help is much appreciated mate.
Cheers!
P.S. And for the cognitive gentleman, It's far more fascinating I suppose - when you only use your thoughts and experiences to confirm your assumption of me looking for a ported rom whereby the actual cognitive process involves processing the senses (which if you used you'd know that I have a McLaren device and I need the McLaren untouched ROM) as well - so that your strong perception of the kind of people you associate with may not cloud your judgement about truly helpless kind like us in the distant future. Have a great day ahead mate.

Another user who has the mclaren device has used my rom. It is the untouched McLaren rom. Exactly. Not a substituted file or anything. It is the 100% mclaren firmware in a flashable format. If u can boot to fastboot, follow my install instructions and u will restore fine. Wipe both slots, then flash rom. And the user u are speaking of has the non McLaren version and ran the msm tool incorrectly. Trust us, flash the rom, u will thank all of us later. My rom is what you are looking for. Mclaren varient cannot flash the intl rom, but it can flash the McLaren rom. Its only a port to the non McLaren users. For all intents and purposes its not a port whatsoever. Its a flashable dump of stock McLaren which is oos 9.0.9. so, to solve your issues, use the rom. I promise man its the stock rom u need.

do you need unlock bootloader mclaren before ?

Yes, everything was fine with that fastboot rom. You need to unlock the bootloader before, but you can relock it after the installation (I did it). The first incremental OTA failed, but the software managed to download the whole firmware (about 1.7GB) and flash it automaticaly, so I'm happy

Can't update Poco M3 after 12.0.11.0

I bought few Poco M3 (for old family member) and after MIUI 12.0.11.0 just one of them is getting 12.5 update (bought all of them from Poco/Xiaomi and all EAA/EU).
What I can do?
Yesterday I call the Xiaomi Support. They said "it's normal, you will get it later". Stable release was 07.03.2022 and 4 weeks later no update here :/

You can't. I send 2 back to Xiaomi and get both with new mainboards and 12.5 update.

It's almost September and I am still not getting the 12.5 on the updater app. I am on 12.0.11.0 (QJFEUXM) so its the European version. After trying to flash recovery and fastboot MIUI roms nothing has worked so far with bootloader locked. I have applied to unlock it.

The main issue is, they haven't yet released an OTA for 12.0.11 to any of the 12.5 releases. I think there was a temporary one from 12.0.9 (or so), but not for the EU models I think. At least I can't find it anymore.
At the moment we can only wait and hope for an OTA update.

honestly I'm tired... poco m3 was not the most expensive model but it was not cheap either, I expect a phone on this price range to get at least the next android version. Otherwise what to do the nice specs if I can't have the nice software?

I have no idea whats the problem but I can't update. Xiaomi change the mainboard and now it works
Anyway as said, I'm tired. I will just change xiaomi/poco and get something else next time.
If I wanted subpar software support I could get some unknown brand for less.

But even trying to download and flashing the oficial ROMs yourself doesn't work. The updater app says "can't verify ROM" or sth and I have tried both EU and global ROMs. My roms are not corrupted and they are for Poco M3 citrus - I am sure. Fastboot flashing via MIUI flash tool also doesn't work. Basically unless you unlock the bootloader nothing seems to work.

I don't know. Still waiting for my bootloader unlock permission. I downloaded recovery and fastboot roms only. Plus OTA updates need you to be on specific MIUI versions in order to use them.
