i have an issue with g2 d802.
sometimes it won't charge the phone.
it shows the lightning icon on the battery, states the device is plugged to AC charger, but it won't charge.
i'm using LG original charger & cable, also tried other LG original charger and the results are the same.
on my other device, G3 its working fine both chargers.
i've done factory reset->doesn't help.
rooted the phone and installed G3 ROM-> doesn't help
and sometimes when when trying to power on the device it shows a yellow warning sign with the battery icon .
any ideas??
help please...
Hello all,
I recently met a problem when I plug my z1 to the adapter. There is no vibration or green led notification or "lightning symbol" on the icon battery but the phone is charging. And when I turn it off and plug it, it vibrates, shows brielfy the battery level and then it reboots to the system.
But when I plug it to my computer, the phone charges correctly with vibration, led notification etc...
I tested another adapter (nexus 7 adapter) but the problem is the same.
I tried to solve my issue by flashing the last official signed rom (by recovery) and done all OTA updates but the problem is still here.
Does anyone have an idea of the of my problem and can help me to solve it ? I use the official USB type C cable.
Thank you very much for your help.
Same problem here
Hi,
I've been a ZUK Z1 user for 4 days now and I'm experiencing the exact same issue. The phone charges whatever you have it plugged to, although only shows it when plugged into a PC.
So I would say this is a software bug which hasn't been discovered yet, or either a hardware problem in the worst of the cases.
Let's hope is the first one
PD: if you own a Z1 please check this, it should really be investigated
thank you for your reply
I'm relieved I'm not alone but it seems it is an unusual issue... I hope it will be fixed soon because it's annoying to not know if the phone is charging.
It's the cable... I order a new charger and typ-c cable from OnePlus - now I have no problems.
Are you sure you had the same issue?
I've noticed sometimes the phone detects the cable after being powered on while plugged in.
Also if anybody has solved it changing the cable, please post it:fingers-crossed:
weird thing
Yesterday I used my phone in gps mode, plugged on my car adapter with the original zuk cable and charging worked very well. I'm confused I really don't have any ideas why my zuk doesn't charge well when charging at home
problem solved
Hi, I tried charging my zuk with the original adapter using another cable and everything works fine. Changing cable solves the issue
Yess!!!
I'll order a new cable on amazon then, really appreciate the info.:highfive:
Any recomendation on what cable should I buy?
yess!
I bought ORZLY brand cable on Amazon
I also had to change the cable. Not a very good quality cable Zuk offers then..
Same problem here. Original cable worked perfecly during 2 months. Now I have the same problem.
IMPORTANT:
I ordered from amazon an USB cable, guided by Benson Lung (Google Engineer) recommendations:

i've the same issue since a few weeks. It only beginn to charge, if i reboot the phone. I've given my cable to a friend with a nexus 5x and he said that the cable works perfectly. His cable doesn't work on my phone. So the cable can't be the reason.
Problem solved
Hey...guys .
Actually I got same problem from morning ....So I google it .then I founded this blog and read ur messages ..then I got problem about wire. So I concluded it. And problem is solved ...
U jzt twist ur wire 4 or 5 time ...then connect twisted wire as like in twist condition and plugged in ur phone....
So guys I think is help 2 u also......
That's not solving the problem . Maybe it works a few times. Eventually, it will no longer function . My device should normal load , as provided by the manufacturer . Therefore, I have sent the device and wait for a response since .

Did you tried another charger and cable? It's the most possible problem. Have you stock Cyanogen OS installed? Any grime on charging socket? Does the battery icon shows charging while screen is on or not?

Hi,
My s5 charging port suddenly stop working . I have checked the cable charger even battery. The battery is charging fine in another s5. The problem is when I put the charger in power off mode the charging animation appears for a 1 second and then gone again like its disconnected and this keep happening again n again also there is msg in this screen in yellow set warranty bit: kernel. if any one know whts wrong with my phone please help
Hi!
Charge your battery full in other phone and try again. If you phone is able to turn on, you will be able to control whether your usb port is dead or not
try a different cable. I use a USB 2.0 Cable for charging. You may need to have the charging jack replaced. plus the screen requires specific glue if the unit is repaired
I bought a used s5 knowing it had a flaky usb port, I thought that I would replace it.
Maybe usb port was dirty and/or corroded and cover was missing so I decided to clean as best I could w/alcohol and toothpick split down the middle wrapped in tissue, alot of crap came out
Mine is now functioning 99% of the time
As for your warranty bit error idk so maybe you have a bad usb port but why would USB give a warranty error

Maybe if repair turns out to be exspensive, you can try Wireless charging?
The repair is easy just clean the port as suggested above, if that doesn't work order a new charging port its pretty easily replaceable for under $10.
As for the warranty bit that means the phone has been rooted or another ROM flashed at some point in its past. It doesn't affect anything except void the warranty, which is probably long since expired anyway.
if cleaning doesnt work then replace the usb port or do wireless charging.
seems as if the hardest part of replacing usb port would be unglueing the lcd off the frame, maybe 5 out of 10 in difficulty
I had to replace my wife's S5 charging port. I used this Youtube video as a guide. Worked like a charm.
https://youtu.be/vOEbMPENigc
I was too lazy, I ordered a wireless charging kit, takes a bit longer to charge but it's easier. The s5 needs either a special back cover or a receiver that goes in the back cover to work on a pad. You can also spend some money on Amazon and order an external charger and second battery and just swap them when dead. If you are already rooted or gave a custom recovery at least you don't really need the USB port

It's a very difficult operation, especially removing the lcd without cracking it.

Hello,i m using moto G4 plus for about 2,3 days now,and its having already nougat in it while i buy it.. The problem is while i charge with the turbo charger its becoming soo hot without any reason..i tried all the possibilities for changing it like, changing the connector port, made phone in airplane mode while charging, but no luck, then also its heating..and now the nmain problem is the ghost screen issue..when i was charging the touch is not responding ,like its moves on like it wishes, but now when not charging also the ghost screen is there while using my phone for sonething the screen works its own..Anyone please helpp.. I have one doubt too if this happens beacause due to the turbo chargger ,can i change the charger and have a low volt charger which can help the phone from heating and ghost like issues.. My turo chatgers details are. ::Input 100-240V -50/60Hz 0.5A
Standard Output: 5V ----1.6A
Then its written, some ,
TURBO 1 OUTPUT:9V----1.6A
TURBO 2OUTPUT:12 V-----1.2A
These ,are the details of the turbo charger if i use a charger with some other specs for charging ,i mean having less volt charger may be the phone will not have the heating issues and all. The another charger deatails are
Input:100-240V---50/60Hz. 0.2A
Output:+5V----1A
Can i use this volt charger for moto g4 plus ..please suggest is there any problem for phone while i use this another charger????? Please help...
You should be able to use that 1A charger without issue, and your phone should be somewhat cooler whilst charging (I use an Apple iPhone charger, which is rated at 5V, 1A, for overnight charging). It'll charge slower than the Turbocharger, but won't heat up your phone quite as much. Ensure this charger is of a reliable brand and in good condition.
As you've noted, the power transferred to your device via the Turbocharger will heat up your device - I've noted the battery appears to reach about 45 degrees Celsius when left to charge. Try not to use your device whilst it's Turbocharging (or if you really need to, try to keep it to light reading), put it on a desk or somewhere where it'll be as cool as possible. However, apart from changing the charger as previously mentioned, the heat is a result of charging the device at a fast rate.
As for ghost touch, you may have to refer your device for service or for a replacement if it persists.
I am using moto g4 plus since 1 year. Now my phone shows 'charging' instead of 'turbocharging' when connected to charger. It is taking about 8-9 hours to full charge. I am confused why is it charging slow.
Whether it is charger issue or phone issue.??

Do you have a turbo charger?
Device model xt1643
Build no. Npjs25.93-14-8
I am using the official rom and kernel and using the phone as provided by the company.
I am facing the issue since 7 days. Sometimes it charges only to 20-30% overnight.
I measured the amperes output of charger with the help of an application named amperes. It shows 250-310 mili Amperes.
Please help me out

Something similar happens to me, but it was because it damages the entrance, if you have not damaged the entrance, try changing the cable to one of the same quality
Try a different usb charge cable. The wires can break or almost break - then a slower charge. 250-300ma would indicate to me the cable is damaged. (or the charger or the usb socket on the phone)
Preferably use a high power cable then you might get the turbo charge message. If you don't have another high power - just an ordinary one - you should still see the charge time reduce (if it is the cable that is damaged)
If nothing changes try a different charger (even an ordinary one) and see if the situation changes.

Previously when i used ordinary charger it always showed "slow charging" on screen.. but now its showing "charging".... If my turbocharger is faulty then it has to display slow charging with the ordinary charger. Whether it is usb port fault or any other hardware on my phone.??

Hardware fault can cause such things too as mentioned above. Try to change the parts like cable and charger.

The same charger is working fine on other phone.
Today i visited moto service centre. After diagnosis they told me that my charging port is defective. And the cost is 1850 rs.
I think it could be fixed at 200 in local market.
Whether it will be worth to spend 1850 rs if my phone is out of warranty.

I'm having the same problem since last 1 week. Turbocharger doesnot charger the phone instead regular charger does. And rt. now I'm using a non-turbo charging capable cable with the Turbocharger to charge my phone and the charging speed is awfully slow.
So, can you please tell me if replacing the charging port worked? And I want to know if there is some hardware issues in my phone.
Hi,
I have recently unlocked my bootloader..
But from then it is not showing turbocharging mode when it is connected to the turbo charger and usb cable provided by company. So what should I do solve the issue???

Unlocking bootloader won't touch the charging behavior in any way. Charging heat and excessive usage of the device reduces the charging current.
So cool down your device and make sure you don't use it while charging can help. It's all about the heat(also the cable, port etc.).
I am having the same issue.
My moto g4 plus is showing USB connected when I connect a turbo charger for charging. Clearly it is the issue of the port since no other chargers are even detected and I am getting turbo charging at some specific angles by trying plugging and unplugging several times. I have took my device to a service centre and they are asking motherboard replacement for this issue. I can't even understand why there is a need to replace motherboard for port loose contact issue.
