can you find a usb/power board also?
thank you for your effort.
Incredible. Thank you very much for your effort! @iakoboss7: I guess that the usb/power board is the same for Kate and Kenzo.
I can assure that the Redmi Note 2 3G ear speaker fits the Kate version and probably so does the Kenzo one.
Edit: You may want to add this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/LCD...ote-3-Pro-Note3-Pro-Prime-SE/32815691278.html
It's a full display already glued into its frame for the same price as without frame.

Thanks mate, and yeah I believe they use the same Charging board as there is no reason for it to be different but again I am not sure.

Hello.
Just to give you a feedback.
I ordered the screen of the Link 1 and unfortunately there is a touch calibration problem.
The touchpad seems to be out of sync. When you type G, you have V for example (a kind of 5mm difference on all the screen). If you type on the upper part of the letter it's ok but not for the bottom part.
I sent a message to the seller. I will tell you if he answers me.
-- EDIT
Ok, He answered me very quickly but I'm not really convinced
The first step:,please take off the Lcd from the phone .
The Second step lease use the clean cloth to clean the phone motherboard flex table.
The Second step lease install the Lcd again ,press and hold the power button to force a reboot.
And then the problems will be solved .

Yes, thank you Kiwironic for your tip. The problem is not the price, it's take the phone to pieces and assemble it again.
Anyone has tried this one with the frame ?

Just follow the steps in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjHMp9ayjak
The hardest part is getting the screen off the frame, you can use a hair drier and a suction cup to get them separated, or just order the LCD with frame and it should be much easier.

@iakoboss7, did you find a USB board after all? I need the exact same board myself, and not much has changed since August.
sadly i couldnt find it so i bought a redmi note 4 global (at 110euro i couldnt resist).
i am still looking for it if anyone manages to locate it!
Had the screen replaced on my MiA1 recently.
Initially when I got it back the fingerprint sensor worked, but seemingly not as well as it had. I put it down to the hot weather. Now, 3days later it's not working at all
Could this be related to the screen repair? (Assuming yes), if so, is it a fix I can do myself out do I need to try argue it out with the shop?

Bought this phone used. $400 Canadian for a oneplus 6t 256gb hdd and 8gb ram. Note I was told he had the screen replaced. Fingerprint reader also doesn't work. See the lines on the screen? The skinny vertical and thicker one up top running horizontal? It's definitely the screen itself. Perhaps backside of the screen. Note you can only see these lines with black background / phone screen off and only under certain lighting. With phone on and anything other than black you cannot see at all.
Is this a botched screen repair? Fingerprint sensor is on backside of phone. But u need to take off back to disconnected the screen cable at back. And these lines.... Dirty inside of screen or what would you guess???
Probably a screen not made by OnePlus. I've never seen that before.
Return it asap, if you can.

Defo not returning it for $400 Canadian. Phone as is could sell for $600 lol.
I'm just wondering what people think it may be. Like the first reply, likely just a bad screen. Replace it for $50 or whatever and will be all good.
The actual good thing about replacing the screen is you have to take off the back of the phone anyway. And well, while they are back there I can have them check the fingerprint sensor. Maybe the ribbon cable is just loose. Could fix both things in one shot.....
If fingerprint readers are available online and are like $20 then to be honest, I could just buy now and bring with me when I go back to screen repair....

Then sell asap. OP7 is few days away, I believe. You can already score 6t used on eBay for $450-500 USD if you are patient. Your potential profit will only get smaller once 7s are released and the repair costs associated with your phone.
---------- Post added at 03:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:02 PM ----------
Also, genuine OP 6t screen replacement by OP is around $143 USD (screen is $90, plus taxes, shipping and handling).
Don't know about FP reader.

Yeah. All considered. It's very close and probably bordering an even deal for the hassle. $500 USD is $675 CAD (for reference). I paid essentially $300USD for the phone. And ya, official repairs is what I'm looking into. 7 day turnaround or so and then like $130USD or so. Will end up being around $450USD and some wait.
Hmm
oh and researching more i actually believe the fingerprint reader is fine. Probably does not work because of non official screen. If it were bad though, it's a $20 part and wouldn't charge extra labor, apparently
My s8 had marks like that. It was from the wallet case and cards I had in it.

OMG! You may have nailed it. I remember the original owner took it out of a wallet case. Did you find any "fix" for this? Rubbing alcohol or anything?????

I've read though that even aftermarket screen protectors cause the fingerprint reader to not work. So installing a different screen (not official oneplus) could cause this I'd think. Also to get to the front of the screen and replace it I believe you need to get at the back and take the back off, to disconnect the screen.

Riiight. Well this is worth a try before I send to oneplus to fix for $200. Or go to town with rubbing alcohol and see.
It's almost like screen burn in on a tv. But physically. On the phone layer so you'd think you could fix it...
I'm gonna text the guy to confirm. But there must be a way. I'll google.

If the sensor is on the back of the phone; it's not a 6T.
It might be a 6, but a 6T has the fingerprint sensor under the screen.

I guess what I meant is where you connect or disconnect the fingerprint reader, where you were reading it as where the actual sensor is

He didn't say connected on the back of the phone, but that the sensor was on the back of the phone.
Anyway if it's reporting right my interpretation of what he said doesn't matter.

I tried a bunch of stuff to try and rid of the perma smudge or whatever you wanna call it, with no luck. I can see why a screen protector would fix this though as you can only see the lines in reflective lighting. A screen protector usually limits glare. I think this is the way to go vs a $200 screen repair ?
The fingerprint sensor is working slower after the recent miui 10.3.8.0 update on K20 Indian unit. Tried registering again but unlocking fails 3out of 5tries.

Hi! I had a Redmi Note 3 and currently i am using a Xiaomi Mi 6 with Lineage OS. I use my Mi 6 in combination with a Nillkin Qin flip case for the "Smart Sleep"-function (close the cover for enter the sleep state and vice versa, working with stock and custom rom). It works perfectly and is in my opinion it is super practically. For my mother, I bought a Redmi Note 7 with the same Nillkin Qin and a Sparkle Case for backup. Unfortunately, neither MIUI nor Pixel Experience support this feature. It should work, according to Nillkin/AliExpress.
Does anyone know a suitable case, a custom rom or a trick to make it work? Thanks in advance!
Is it possible that the case has the magnet in the wrong place, so it doesn't trigger the sleep when closing it? Or even better, maybe it has no magnet?
thanks for your answer! hmm, ok maybe this case does not work like my other xiaomi.
does someone use smart sleep with another flip case model? or is it not possible at all?

I don't know what's smart sleep but if you want to switch on/off the screen with the flip cover you can use an app like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jarsilio.android.waveup
thank you, but I don't think my mother likes to wave around with her hand!
example for smart sleep with a flip case: https://youtu.be/hfr2CPJUvu4?t=135

With waveup you can do exactly that. When the proximity sensor is covered the display turn off and when is uncovered goes back on. You can do that in settings
nice one! i will try it!
Redmi Note 7, along with many new models, including Note 8, does not seem to support this function, there is no option in its menus like on other models.
I had been using smart cover mode from redmi note 3 onwards that phone gets locked when flip cover closed and wakes up when flip cover opened.
No I bought redmi note 8 pro and my dismay found out that xiaomi discontinued this best feature. Now I have to manually wake up and lock the phone and I get irritated because I was passioned with smart cover mode.
Xiaomi, Xiaomi Please listen the customers request that bring back "Smart Cover Mode" in the next security updation since it was a security feature you taught your customers from long back. Thanks.
