The network I am currently using is AT&T. I am thinking about getting a Oneplus 2 but I don't know if it is "supported" by AT&T. DOes anybody know if the Oneplus 2 works on AT&T?
Yes it should.

I'm on AT&T went from an iphone 6 to a Zenfone 2 (which is not "supported") but has all required hardware but couldn't get it to connect to LTE. Returned it and got a OP2 (which i don't think is "supported" either) but have full LTE.

Yes the OnePlus 2 works fine on AT&T.
I just had to swap out sims to get the Nano sim. No cost with that either.
Yes, if you live in the US, the OP2 is unlocked to run on GSM/LTE networks in the US.
I'm on At&t and just swapped out my SIM with my Moto X Pure.... I usually have to call to get it registered on their system, but I didn't even have to do that.... Maybe because I just came from another unlocked phone?
Either way, it works just fine!
I do notice a difference from my HTC One M9.... I had faster speeds sitting in my office, but the OP2 is a little slower.......But, the OP2 is faster just about everywhere else (except my house, of course)
Hello. My friend's mother, from India, is here in the states and would like to buy an S7.
My other friend has a Verizon S7 (SMG-930V) that she wants to sell for cheap ($350). It was her old phone, and she has since switched carriers and phones. She hasn't fully paid off her old S7, although she's still on the hook for it. I think she'll pay it off with the money she'll get from the sale of the phone, but I'm not sure.
My questions are this: Will this phone work well overseas (mostly in India)? Will the fact that the phone isn't fully paid off affect whether it will function? Will flashing the SMG-930U firmware, instead of keeping the SMG-930V, offer any benefits when used overseas?
Thank you in advance for any help!

I brought an unlocked LG G6 to Verizon store today to get it activated and they were unable to do this. It appears I have 3 options:
1. Return device to bhphotovideo.com. Not sure what their return policy is.
2. Switch from Verizon to T-Mobile. Live in Silicon Valley close to San Jose, California. Their network is probably fine here.
3. Get an imei from an Android device with nano sim. The Verizon tech person said if I had a friend or family member with this they could get the unlocked G6 working on Verizon. Trouble is that I do not know anyone with an Android phone with nano sim. My old G4 used micro sim. The friends and family members have either iPhones or older Androids with micro sim.
So I could really use some advice here.
And in addition let this be a warning to anyone trying to get unlocked devices working on Verizon. I had read elsewhere that Verizon was now more friendly towards unlocked devices, but this was clearly not the case in my experience. Perhaps this is one reason Verizon is starting to lose customers for the first time in its history.
Cut your old micro sim to nano size put it in the G6 and fire it up. Then your new G6 will work and be in the Verizon data base.
Than sometime go in to Verizon and get a new nano sim. I have been down this road with unlocked phones and its not LG it is Verizon.
If you want to use the old G4 again you need a nano to micro adaptor.
I am using the US997 G6 from BH right now but my old phone used the nano sim so I just had to swap it out. Works perfect so long as you start with a Verizon sim that is already activated.
Earlier this week I activated a new SIM/device with my ancient Galaxy S3 IMEI and verizon sent me a 3-in-1 card that I punched down to the nano size cutout. Which allowed me to put my US997 on the network.
By the way, can you share if VoLTE, WiFi Calling or Video Calling work?

I would like to know the same thing! Thanks
I got this phone all I did was take my sim out of my iphone put it in the g6 and boom it works. Verizon has no idea I have this phone. Lol
Update: got the LG G6 working on Verizon after all. We had to make sure the LG G4 is powered down in order for the activation to complete since the G6 was replacing the G4 on Verizon. And boy do I feel like an idiot for not knowing that. Surprising most of the Verizon staff did not suggest to do this.
I received mine and activated it yesterday. VoLTE works perfectly. No Video/WiFi Calling though. I love this phone! No bloatware!

Are there any other differences between the US997 model and the Verizon VS988, other than lacking wifi calling? (I don't know anyone who actually uses verizon video calling, iphone people use facetime, and as android user I'd always just use duo, hangouts or skype)
How do you tst if VoLTE is working?
I'm also curious about this process. I've done a lot of searching, but haven't been able to find a direct answer yet.
I'm considering buying a Sprint G6, then unlocking it to use it on Verizon. Is this even possible? Obviously, they're both CDMA. And appear to have the bands necessary for Verizon. But I've had trouble in the past with unlocking Sprint devices to work on Verizon.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

VoLTE worked out the box for me on Verizon. I just inserted my SIM and checked, and it was enabled. WiFi calling does not work on most unlocked phones, and the US997 unlocked edition is no different here. Video calling through the carrier does not work either.

That's great news that you got most of the functionality working, OP. Do you happen to know if the phone was factory unlocked? Or was it tied to a carrier, then unlocked afterward? Again, thanks for any additional info!

Unlikely to work. Stick with the unlocked version, model us997. Keep in mind Verizon sometimes blocks phones from their network that have the necessary hardware, like the ZTE Axon 7.

If you want OOB compatibility, the device must be certified through Verizon's Open Development process. See below.

This is old. And only one build. I went through that. They fixed it right away. I had the phone since launch. MM was great out of the box, 7.0 had a hiccup with service, GSM sim after the update fixed it on 1st boot, then you could put your CDMA sim back in.
If you buy the device now, the 7.1.1 build will work out of the box.
If you look through the zte forums people have had a lot of problems getting the Axon 7 to work with Verizon. Anyway, I am glad to hear you got it working all right. I like the Axon 7 a lot but was not willing to go through the extra effort that others reported to get it working. And some people could not get it working at all, not a risk I was willing to take. I blame Verizon, I do not think they are supportive of unlocked phones.
Hi folks,
Considering getting a 6T off the OnePlus site.
For those that got the devices early:
-Do you have experiences on AT&T Network to comment on how compatible it is? I've had some devices use to work well on ATT now not so good due to band migration; just curious to hear how the 6Ts fare.
-Please confirm: both SIM and BootLoader unlocks can be done immediately when purchasing from the OnePlus site (as opposed to the T-Mobile edition that's locked)
-Are there band/frequency differences between the T-Mo and ATT Versions? I'm on ATT but usually have bought "T-Mo" versions of devices because they were less likely to be BL locked; but my last phone (OP3T) broke me out of that cycle.
Any other AT&T-relevant experiences would be appreciated.
Interested in this as well.
I would like to know as well. It's kinda looking like we will have to test it out ourselves.
I am on AT&T with the 6t. I've only had mine for a week but have had no issues with anything network related. I came from a 3T and have better service with my 6T. There were 2 dead spots on my drive to / from work with the 3T that I no longer have with the 6T. I haven't had a chance to root or unlock mine yet due to being busy at work but so far I am happy. I loved the 3T but don't miss it a bit.
I have a 6t that I bought directly from OP that I use as my daily phone on Cricket, which uses AT&T towers. I have no signal problems, and download speeds are great. Anywhere I expect to have LTE I have it.
Phone is by far my favorite device I've had. Easy to unlock, install TWRP and flash kernels, and install mods through magisk!
I've bought my phone but don't get to open it until Christmas. It should arrive in a day or two. [emoji1360][emoji1360]

What did you do to get volte? Was your previous phone an att branded device? I came from an unlocked S8 that didn't get volte and I can't get volte on my 6T. Prior to my S8 I had the 6P which also didn't get volte.
I suggest reading this thread, https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/help/att-verizon-volte-vowifi-calling-t3860031. There's information on how to enable VoLTE settings on the phone. Most of the stuff in that thread pertains to Verizon, but some AT&T stuff too. Ultimately it's up to AT&T to provision your service properly. VoLTE is available. VoWiFi is not. Took me a couple of days & a couple of hours on the phone with AT&T support to get my line provisioned properly because the IMEI wasn't recognized. But that was only days after the phone was released. Would think that shouldn't be a problem now.
Once you get VoLTE working Visual Voicemail should work, but you need to use the AT&T app. However, for me it isn't always automatically retrieving VMs when I get them. My notifications will show I have a VM but I have to open the AT&T VVM app, go into the menu and Refresh. Only then does it pull the VM into the app.
This should be interesting. On my 3T I have ATT visual voicemail working, and it mostly works for transcribing messages (except long ones like my wife leaves...) But I don't think the phone is volte capable so I've never tried setting that up. I don't get to play we the phone til Xmas though!

Yeah. I came from using a 5yo AT&T branded HTC One M7 and VVM worked fine on that. When I first got the 6T (unlocked int'l version) & popped in my sim, I had VoLTE but I couldn't get the VVM app to activate. That's what prompted my call to AT&T support. That's when they told me VoLTE was needed for VVM. I'm not entirely sure how accurate that statement is. The rep tried a bunch of stuff to get it working, including updating my line with the IMEI from the 6T. That's when things went bad. I lost all data completely. Actually, if I switched APNs, I could get 3G data. But it took two days before AT&T sorted it out and I got LTE back. Since then everything pertaining to AT&T service has been fine. I've never found the need for VoWiFi, although it would be cool to have, if necessary. And I wish their Advanced Messaging feature wasn't so limited.

On att rn. Have been since the op2. No issues at all ? first thing I do is unlock bootloader
I got my 6T (Int'L) on or about Nov. 23, which I had purchased from OT - I am using it on a Family mobile plan which uses T-Mobile towers. VoLTE was not a part of my original service plan..but because I needed a New Nano-SIZED sim card for this phone, adding it to my account wasn't as straight forward as it normally is. Once I switch my number to the new sim card, I got an email saying if I wanted VoLTE/VoWiFi(?) features turned on - I'd have to go to another website (Cricket/Verizon/ AT&T?) to register my new sim card and this would "turn on" the VoLTE features. After all this I get a Bright "VoLTE" Icon on the status bar whever i get my LTE signals - So it is VoLTE capable. Perhaps AT&T is doing something similar to get your VoLTE activated?
My plan is to do some testing next week for basic stuff before transferring my flag from my 3T. Will report back how it goes. Appreciate any other Insights from other users!

Fired mine up yesterday when I got it. Got it all set up, then swapped out the SIM from
my Mate 9, to the OP6T this morning. Apparently the "speed" issues I had with the 9
are corrected with the 6T. I use a Straight Talk MVNO (tracfone) at&t card. Previously,
I was LUCKY to get between 9-10 meg down, 1-2 up. Now I'm getting 33 meg down, 15 up.
Guess the newer phone has a better modem, or the extra frequencies to work more proper
with the newer device.
So far, no issues, working good.
After my experience with the OnePlus One, I was still a little cautious about buying something
from them again, but, on the surface so far it appears they might have their act together.
Stay tuned.
I came from a OP3 been using the 6T with ATT prepaid for the past month and it works great. Far superior in speeds to the OP3. For example at my house I was getting download speeds of about 30mbps on my OP3 on the 6T I got over 90mbps LTE+ at home! I keep pissing off my buddy who just got the brand new iPhone XS on ATT and he is getting half the DL speeds that I am when comparing speed tests :victory:. Don't think VoLTE works on prepaid but I have yet to try to enable it. About to go to nebraska for vacation to test service out there.
Bootloader is very easy to unlock. Did it the second day of having the phone following the Official XDA employees youtube video.
I'm planning on buying a Oneplus 6T soon and I have a couple questions. I'm going to be using it on Verizon (and it looks to be compatible mostly) but I noticed on amazon the A6010 is cheaper than the A6013. From some research it looks like the A6010 is a China version and A6013 is global? So my main question is, would the A6010 work on Verizon? If so does it support the same custom ROMs as the A6013? Thanks in advance.

Probably, according to this thread it's got the LTE band support for North America. https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-6t-a6010-vs-a6013.951109/
But I'd make sure and do a bit more research, seems like if it has support for band 13 it will work on Verizon. You'd just have to probably switch it from HydrogenOs to OxygenOs by using some guide on this forum

Alright cool, thank you!
The A6010 is the Chinese version and lacks some LTE bands. Also the IMEID of the A6010 variant is probably not in the Verizon whitelist. The device must be in the Verizon white list to work.
Also the A6013 is the version certified by Verizon to be compatible.
Do not buy the A6010 to save a few bucks. Buy the A6013.
If you buy the A6010 and it does not work, you only have yourself to blame.
You have been warned.
Edit - Not trying to be hostile. trying to save anyone a headache when/if it doesn't work because the IMEID is not whitelisted or whatever.

No need for the hostility. Jeez.
Anyway I checked frequencycheck.com and it looks like the A6010 has the required bands for Verizon (B2 1900, B4 1700/2100, and BE 700c). GSMArena also states the A6010 to have these bands. Is there a reason it wouldn't work other than that? I'd like to save "a few bucks" if I can.
EDIT: I also found a certified refurbished 6T A6013. Should I just get that instead?

I wasn't being hostile. I just was trying to strongly emphasize that you might run into issues with the A6010 on Verizon.
The IMEID might not be in the Verizon database since the A6010 was never released for the US and not FCC certified.
That being said, the A6010 comes with HydrogenOS and someone, either you or the seller would need to flash it to an OxygenOS variant.
Forget about the LTE support, it probably isn't in the IMEID database and probably won't register on the Verizon network.
Get the refurb 6T. Get a SquareTrade plan for dips and spills and call it a day.
Why take the chance on the A6010 and possibly have a phone that does not work on Verizon?

You're right, I'm going with the refurb. Thank you!
Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I wanted to give my input to future googlers.
I went ahead and did not take heed of the advice given here, and bought an A6010 for use on verizon. My last phone was a Verizon branded Galaxy Core Prime so it was quite the jump for me. I can say with certainty you do NOT WANT TO BUY THIS MODEL OF PHONE FOR USE ON VERIZON! Unless you are very dedicated like me. The device is most likely not in the database but after over 11 hours of chat sessions online and phone calls (in total spanning a week), I got the tier 2 support to activate the phone in replacement of the core prime (more of a transfer than an activation) which wasn't that hard, but it was hard to get the "advanced technicians" to activate the CDMA-less feature necessary for the phone to work correctly.
In the end, my A6010 works 100% fine on verizon, only due to my stubbornness and perseverance. If you have a day to waste and really want a marginal discount, I suppose go for it. So yes, it is possible, and I might be able to help someone as I kept the last 2 online chatlogs, but it is very, very difficult. It took hours of searching forums all over the web from reddit to crackberry. Overall, I'm sorry to the user who has been vigilantly warning people not to use this model on verizon here and on reddit as well. I guess it's fair for you to say "I told you so" However I am happy where I am at now. This was such a draining and exhausting experience I just had to share it as a real life example of what not to do. But tbh if you are able to pick up this model under $300 by some miracle, chatting with 18 different support reps might actually save you some money.
Never again, Verizon.
I've got the U.S. version. My Sim1 slot has a Straight Talk (tracfone) sim.
My Sim2 slot has a Verizon sim for work (so I don't have to carry two flipping phones).
No issues with the Verizon sim. Granted, the way they have this set up, the data speed is locked
at 5meg down and about 1meg up. But, we have 24 phones, and "unlimited" data, so I'm sure they
choke it down, so people don't just start downloading all sorts of crap.
It took me less than 10 min to get Verizon to make my line LTE/CDMA less only. I have a global unlocked version from OP directly.
A6013 version though.
I just bought the A6010 version and need help with getting it unlocked for Verizon.
So to confirm:
I just bought an A6013 off of eBay
This is the model that'll work on Verizon, and I need to contact them and say that it needs to be activated as a CDMA-less LTE phone, correct?

Hi, I am struggling with a very similar issue on my one plus 7 pro, I got the GM1910 version whereas north America uses the GM1913 version, and now my IMEI isn't recognized in the system. Can you please tell me what you did to get Verizon to activate your one plus 6t? They seem to be running in circles making me order some cards and can't set my device as a CDMA less one. Thanks!

I'm just going to jump in just cause I'm going through the same situation. The IMEI needs to be in their database and don't let them tell you in can't be done because after 5 calls I did manage to find someone helpful. He submitted the form which were just a few questions ie type of phone, IMEI, where did you get it ( in my case I said OfferUp) and after 3 days he got back to me and told me the IMEI number is good to go and all we needed to do was add the cdma-less feature on my account. Like he said it was a pain in the ass but I called tech support on a daily basis sometimes even calling right back just to get a different tech guy. Almost everything works but right now the only issue is I'm not receiving text messages ( I can send them fine) but from what I'm told you need to sync the network/billing but so far it hasn't been a priority just because I kinda gave up after my last two calls to tech support ? and I have everything else so i use Facebook/ hangouts for messaging at least for now. I'll call back eventually to get that taken care of ... Now my experience is not too say that you're gonna go through the same crap you might get lucky and get someone on the first try. I guess it all depends on who you get on the line and if they can't help you just keep calling ...
