Hello mates. I would like to ask, because I just flashed my S8 LDU (G950X) with a G950F stock firmware. Everything works just fine, well except for cellular network. If it is possible to unlock bootloader, root, and install a custom ROM using the same methods as the G950F?
Can you give a link for the firmware you flashed in G950X ? Does the biometrics work after flashing?

Cellular network doesn't work in it because it has no bands for network transmission. You can just change you logic than it will be possible to use cellular network

Im not sure if this was discussed about this particular situation.
I recently switched from Wind mobile to Fido which offers LTE connection. Unfortunately Wind disabled Lte network mode And the only mode I can connect to is 3g.
I have rooted the phone and tried various methods on how to enable LTE
including guide on xda how to enable all bands.
The only thing i have not tried is flashing new modem firmware.
Here is my question:
1. Would flashing new modem firmware enable lte network mode?
if so which modem firmware should i use and is there a guide?
2. Would upgrading to new rom solve the issue?
Please help me, thank you for any suggestions.

Tomorrow, I will be paying a visit to the US Cellular store so that they can unlock my phone for use on GSM networks. I usually run the unofficial build of CyanogenMod 12.1. But I learned that in order for them to unlock it I must be on stock. My question is: after I get it unlocked, will I be able to flash back to my backup of CyanogenMod without relocking the phone? I know on full GSM phones it's more of a hardware thing. But I want to be sure once it's unlocked that it's permanent.
(Also, I forgot to mention it's the US Cellular variant of the Galaxy S5)

ROMs don't affect SIM lock afaik, or you'd be able to unlock them with a custom ROM too

To install international G900F rom, must be bootloader unlocked:
Same way as flashing a normal kltevzw/G900V rom, find a klte/G900F rom and flash it. Any incompatibility warnings are probably outdated, but be careful, and remember, you can't make too many backups.
Just know that you won't be able to use CDMA networks (Verizon is CDMA).
To enable 4G/Phone service in other countries, works with locked bootloader:
You're stuck with the G900V rom. If you're just looking to get support for extra bands in other countries, look into GalaxyTools by Idoneapps. It can give you international support on most existing roms, stock or not. Kinda hard to use but you'll get used to it.
Both methods will most likely require some APN settings modifications.

Hello is there a way to flash the T-Mobile (G950U) firmware onto a G950F model phone or change the CSC without root? While the phone is working, I do not believe it is able to take advantage of carrier aggregation and VoLTE without the proper region code for my area. Wondering if there is any way to achieve this? Hey guys! I brought my unlocked T-Mobile USA S7 Edge to Germany and it works fine with either Vodafone or Telekom, but no Wi-Fi Calling works. They suggested me to get one of their phones but since I had to fully pay for this device to get it unlocked I don't want to throw 800 bucks away like that.
Is there a way to get this to work? Is it possible to flash a different CP / Modem / Radio / Firmware that could potentially get this working? I know the bootloader is locked but I'm not sure if there are any workarounds as I've seen people successfully getting G935U firmware to work on their unlocked T Mobile S7E.
Any advice? Thanks in advance!

You can easily flash "T" model with "U" firmware - been there, works well.
What do you mean by wifi calling? Ggl duo/hangouts, whatsapp, all that kind of apps work fine on whichever firmware.
PS. Flashing T/U versions works even if your bootloader is locked (mine is).

Thank you for your reply. I managed to Flash the U Firmware but WiFi Calling or VOLTE still won't work. I can over whatsapp and it's cool I guess but would be good especially when calling some people overseas who don't UE whatsapp as wifi calling means no international roaming charges.
That or also the ability to just flash about any custom Roms would be cool too.
