Can Android support this feature?

Hello,
I am very new to Android.
Let's say I have an Android v1.5 device that's not a phone.
can you modify the interface upon powering on or launch such that ONLY the app(s) you want the person to use is allowed?
Thanks
Marco
"User" support isn't included in the version of Android currently being used in mobile phones.
If someone wanted to develop it, I guess it could be done.. but it's a lot of work for a feature that likely few would use.

[Q] List of unique apps for WP7 from Samsung

Hi!
I don't have the Samsung Omnia 7 but i would really like to know the available unique apps from Samsung for their phones.
I hope you all can help!
Is Samsung making more apps like HTC and LG already have available and are they free?
These are the ones i already know:
- Now - Combination of weather tool, news reader, and stocks tracker
- Photo Sharing - Upload photos and share them online
Hi,
On the marketplace we have the following:
Network Profile - apparently letting you switch networks, but the reviews say it doesn't work
PhotoSharing
Now
Three - its a hub for a UK network operator
And thats it!
Any more questions let me know
serg
Thanks Serg!

[Q] creating an android equivalent of airPcap.

i believe i could create the app relatively easily as i am a c++ programmer and would learn the language used for android providing if anyone can tell me if the wifi chip set on the Samsung galaxy s4 can write to disk. if not it would be impossible without connecting an external method of capturing and saving the packets. if anybody could direct me to the correct place for the information i need or if there is already a project underway could you provide information. would be interesting to see if it is possible with the existing wifi chip-set.

Smartwatch OS (Zeblaze Crystal, Oukitel A28 and NO.1 G2)

I bought a Zeblaze Crystal watch. Nice object. Unfortunately, for an error (I tried to use the Arduino suite in order to understand if it would be possible to program it)... I deleted its firmware.
So I searched and I found that the MTK2502 is the common cpu for many models... and that the OS of one can be installed on another.
In this moment I installed on the Zeblaze Crystal the OS of the Oukitel A28 and it works perfectly.
I also tried the OS of the NO.1 G2 Smartwatch and it worked nice. This last has more apps, like a video player for video copied in the watch. But this OS reversed the screen, so it is better for people who wear the phone on the right wrist.
In any case changing the OS is really a simple operation and it took just 5 minutes.
I could say that the Oukitel OS is like the original. Maybe the watch layout a little better, but the same functionalities.
Now I would like to share with you all the possible links to the OS and to the software that it is needed to install it. Maybe we could create a repository for all this OS (for the MTK2502) and, in the future, when someone could understand the ROM layout, also try to add new apps or watch faces.
Obviously, install a new OS can brick your device. I did it without problem, but be aware of the risk.
So, to install the new OS just download the tool for the NO.1 G2 Smartwatch (the file has the OS, the needed tool and the instructions):
https://goo.gl/jpNQdd
If you want, instead, the Oukitel A28 OS, just refer to the link (the OS to be used with the previous tool):
http://depositfiles.com/files/kddf8hbsu
I observed that, in any case, all these OS are the same for what concerns the stability of the connection with the phone.
I add that, to update the OS, you have to:
turn off it
connect the watch with the cable to the PC
start the software and the update process and, when it says something like "searching" press and keep pressed the watch button.
Best

I am sorry, but I have not found the Zeblaze Crystal OS. I have installed the Oukitel A28 (see the link before). It works perfectly.
Hi Marko...firstly, thanks for all the hard work you've put in here.
I own a No.1 G.2 which I bought in December last year. I love it BUT it does not have gesture wake for the screen and you have to press the button for the screen to light up. Apparently the latest firmware allows this or, as you indicate above, you can use the Oukitel a28 firmware for the same effect.
My problem is that I have tried downloading the new firmware for the G2...I can load the scatter file...the software says that the chip in the watch is compatible but when I click start nothing happens. The bar stays at 0%. I've tried it with the watch switched on connected by USB and switched off. Nothing happens. I've tried pressing the power button as you indicate above...nothing. When I connect the USB cable with the watch powered on the notice "Mass Storage" or "Com Port" comes up but when I try clicking on "Com Port" the watch says "Not allow".
This is driving me nuts. Can you help? The watch is still working fine so I haven't damaged the existing firmware but I'd dearly like to have gesture control or the nice a28 firmware.
Hello I came across this threat and had the big hope that this could help me.
I have a A28 Oukitel and I am very happy with it, as for it's cheapness and the way it works and its watchfaces.
Now as the Zeblaze is out that watch has one more nice watchface and what I am missing it has a stopwatch.
I really hoped that I could do it vice versa to marco but unfortunately the Zeblaze firmware is not of the same kind as the firmwares of the No.1 G2 and the A28 they both refer in the config.file to general files based on TinySystem-ROMs but the Zeblaze does refer to a .bin-file.
I am not really an expert in programming so I don't know if this is basically because the Zeblaze supposed to have more RAM 32/64 MB or is it because the firmware is based on another platform?
My question is: is there a way to read them out and transform one to another? Does any kind of programming tool make it understandable to a basic PC-User?
Any kind of deeper knowledge would help me.
@ Stroppytommy:
I am not sure if you got this right. Using the flashtool needs administration rights! And the PC is checking the COM-Port only within milliseconds so it is important that you have turned the watch off! Than after! starting the download you connect the turned off watch to the PC. That should turn the "Searchnig..." hint into naming the COM-Port and the process begins.

Yep...thanks. Your suggestion worked. The new 2016 (No.1.G2) firmware is crap, however. It now shows motion sensing in the menu (for auto gesture on) but selecting that option has no effect on the watch at all.

Will the Oukitel firmware run on the No.1 G2 ???

Timex iConnect TW5M31600

Hi Team, I am new to smartwatches, did some research and wanted to get a TicWatch, but ended up buying Timex iConnect.
I wanted to know if I can install a Custom ROM like on a mobile phone on this watch. Want to know if I can install Google Wear OS on it?
If I connect the watch to a USB, there is no Developer options sort of option on the watch to enable USB Debugging. Not sure what OS the watch runs. Anybody got a chance to inspect this watch? Please share your inputs and ideas.
If there is a page detailing how to install Google WeasOS on any smartwatch, please share.

First of all, WearOS is no.
Why? I don't even know the specs and it is closed source. I feel like Ticwatch is better choice than this.
If you've got the specs (Likely MTK2xx CPU), please send me here.
