About the tool:
This is a very basic batch script and I haven't changed it to .exe for reference purposes. When you port a ROM most chances are bootloops.:crying: It really makes us sad...so this is a simple tool that will copy a main file libandroid_runtime.so and most chances are the bootloop will be gone by now

How to use?
-> Well it's really easy to do. Windows users just click bootloop.bat and follow the on-screen instructions. It won't take long
-> Linux users download the file and keep in /home/username/ (~/) directory. Then open terminal and type :

./br.sh
In some cases this doesn't seem to work so if that doesn't works then open terminal and type:

bash ~/br.sh
This will work! :victory: Now follow the on-screen instructions and enjoy :good:

Q. Advantages of this over manually doing this?
A. Well, this tool does the same as manual process, but this is an easier automated process. You don't have to search for anything and it's near to one-clickish only. Just let the tool everything and give the name as you prefer and done!

A. Everything is included...no need of anything extra other than a windows or linux os :good:

[PORT/PATCH][STOCK CNE5] Patch ROM to get Active Display + quick unlock on lockscreen

Firstly, I'm not an android developer, just someone who wanted to have this feature and decided to do it myself with the help of information on XDA and google. So my thanks goes to XDA for having this wonderful forum where users can share information to benefit the entire community. I thought there would be many like me who would want to have this feature on stock ROM and decided to share this.
Secondly as this is my first post I was not sure where to post it and therefore if this does not qualify for posting here the moderator may move this to the appropriate forum.
This patch is for i9295 on stock CNE5 deodexed ROM
FEATURES
-----------------
- Active Display
- Quick pin unlock (for pin and password)
- Double tap to sleep on lockscreen
- Wakelock for Secmms removed
KNOWN ISSUES
-------------------------
Lockscreen settings for when pin selected, Quick pin unlock and Double tap to sleep for some reason default to unchecked. It is ok when password is selected though but nevertheless works fine just select it if you want it to work before exit. I am not able to figure out the issue and would love some help here

- Download zip file ActiveDisplay_140711_0114.zip`
- Take a nandroid backup
- Flash zip using ClockworkMod recovery
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot
- Enjoy!
In case any issues faced restore nandroid backup select advanced option and restore system only.

I have updated the zip at the below link which should work as I odexed my entire rom and pulled it out from there. Please try it out and confirm if working so that I can update it in the OP

there is a guide in gitHub but i tried but dont get it.

Any way to fix noise recording?

Hi guys!
I'm looking for a guide on how to fix the terrible voice quality for the phone (making videos)
I found out there are guides for other Mi phones but not for the A1 ( maybe need to disable noise cancellation with this phone too )
I have unlocked bootloader & root if it's needed.
If you have any solution comment please!

I have no boot loader or root right now... Is there an idiot's guide to doing this?
All the guides I have read so far don't answer my questions such as:
1. Do I lose all my set up on my phone?
2. Am I basically left with a clean install?
What is the easiest simplest way to go about adjusting this prop file?

First, you need to be rooted. (I'd suggest Magisk). Then:
1. No, you won't lose anything. (Unlocking doesn't wipe the phone)
2. Rooting won't affect any existing behaviour.
After rooting you'll be able to create/install existing modules or create a simple script (placed in /magisk/.core/post-fs-data.d) to modify build.prop values.

Hi Tony, thanks... I have managed to Load TWRP and Magisk. I have read the wiki and the github but cannot find how to make a script or module.
Are you aware of a simple how to that shows this?
Also can I turn off OEM unlocking under Developer options now?
