3rd Party Nav Apps Not Working on OnePlus 6t - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Unrooted
Anybody else notice that 3rd party navigation apps don't work properly? I can't get Navigation Gestures or fooView to work properly when using gesture from settings. "Back" doesn't respond in fooView unless nav buttons are shown. Navigation Gestures doesn't hide nav buttons. Anyone else notice this?

Yes.

All fooView gestures working fine here with OxygenOS gestures enabled.

Navigation bar, hw buttons remap, lockscreen shortcut, dialer search

I have a few questions after 2 days of usage. I'm used to Nexus, where almost everything is possible.
So few things, that annoy me.
Navigation bar:
Is it possible to make it transparent using (my favourite) Nova launcher? I set Nova to 18:9, but it's still not trasnparent ...
HW buttons remap
Is there any mod to remap HW buttons (when screen is off) to any other app than camera and QuickMemo
Lockscreen shortcut
Is it possible to show shortcuts on locksreen even if scrren lock method is "Swipe" - so without pin/pattern, etc...
If you choose any other method, shortcuts are there.
Stock dialer - search
Is somehow possible to set that stock dialer show all search result (when using T9 search) instead of just one and using down arrow to show others ...
Navigation bar should be transparent in Nova, try updating all apps to the latest versions.
I'm looking for HW button remaps too, for now i am using Tasker to do stuff for me.
I can set Lockscreen Shortcuts on "normal" swipe unlock, should work.
Not sure about the dialer, i don't see any extra settings anywhere for the dialer.

Yup, transparent nav. bar now works for me.
Locksreen problem->hmm, after reboot working now.
I changed dialer to ExDialer.
You can remap volume up with Key Plus.

Found that app, thanks.
But, remap is only usefull for led light on/off. If you set any other app (i tried dialer) phone wakes, but you still have to unlock it (swipe, pattern, whatever you have ...) before you see app.

Any Launcher with gesture support for Navbar??

Immersive mode is cool, I have Navbar disappearing after a few seconds which is cool, its just that the swiping up from the bottom of the screen is quite imprecise, sometimes opening up one of the dock apps, so I was wondering if any launcher (in the gesture settings) has the option to bring up the navbar with a double tap? Nova has many options for double tap but showing the navbar is not one (I have written to them to add it to the gestures as it would be a great addition) but in the interim I was wondering if any launcher had the double tap to show navbar as an option, or if anyone has any other solution. I love the screen without the navbar but bringing up the navbar with the normal swipe up from bottom is not the most convenient or precise imho.

[Q] Hide navigation bar in launcher

I'm using the Navigation Gestures app from XDA, which works pretty well for me. However, I don't want to use the adb method for hiding the nav keys because I heavily rely on my phone and don't want to be out of nav keys if the app should crash and I am away on business.
The built-in way to hide navigation keys works well in almost every regard, but for whatever reason there's no option to hide the navigation keys in launchers (in my case Action Launcher). It makes no sense to me because I think the launcher is one place where you need the nav bar the least since you don't need Back and Home, only Recents is occasionally needed.
So, my question is: Does any one know a quick workaround or an additional app that allows to hide the navigation bar in launchers?
Thank you guys for any ideas!

I used this before oreo. With it you can disable it anywhere, system-wide. But it probably uses the same method as xda nav gestures to do it(adb or root). With the same risks.

Third party navigation - back does not work

Hey guys, could anyone please confirm whether the back action can be used by third party apps?
I would like to use the following app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fb.fluid
but can't get the back action to work at all. (home and recents work though.
I would like to know whether it is a bug in the app (don't think so because I have the same problem with other apps), it's a problem with oxygen os or with my specific phone.
Thanks
Does it work in chrome and other browsers?
I can go back with the inbuilt navigation options but third party accessibility navigation options don't work at all.
The same applies for browsers.

Disable Nav gestures and 3 button Nav in order to use FNG?

Is there any way to disable BOTH the Nav Gestures AND the 3 button Nav buttons? I prefer using FNG for gestures. Thanks.
