I have 4gb ram/ 64 GB internal variant. After 15th November update i.e. .337 go to camera developer option and go to exposure user settings. Asus has limited slow shutter speed to 340 milliseconds which was more than 10000 ms earlier. Has anybody noticed it. No more slow shutter speed light trails in camera.
OR
Is it an issue with 4gb/64gb variant only. Heard that 3gb/32gb variant is still having 10400 ms shutter speed after the latest update. Can any photo enthusiast help me out or facing similar issue?

i enabled camera2api but,

I updated to pie beta today and even enabled camera2api manually. Checked with the help of Camera2Probe it has a green tick on legacy meaning Google Camera or camera2api won't work/isn't working.
I even got this message in powershell :

We have to wait for stable pie for further investigation.

RELEASE NOTES FOR THE UPCOMING BETA SOFTWARE
As mentioned, a new Beta release is approaching. The plan is to have it out next week exclusively for members of our program.
In total, there are approximately 1500 fixes on this new version.
Here are the most important improvements and bug fixes:
• New Stamina mode
• New Ultra Stamina mode
• Improvements on Bluetooth audio (issue with stuttering sound)
• Memory handling improvements (multitasking included)
• Various WiFi connection improvements
• Security updates
• Fix for the missing 'expand arrow' in the volume menu
• Disable noise suppression in calls
• Translation fixes
As usual, if you experience any issues, please submit them through the Beta Feedback application.
By the way, we will have holidays in Sweden this Thursday and Friday. We're going to be back Monday, 9 of May.
Thanks a lot for your constant feedback and keep up the good work!
NEW STAMINA MODE: ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
You can reduce the need for regular charging by intelligently managing your battery usage with the latest version of Sony’s Stamina mode together with Google's Doze.
DOZE + STAMINA MODE
Doze, which is a mandatory Marshmallow feature, automatically regulates power consumption when your smartphone has been idle for a prolonged period, by reducing data traffic. You can white-list apps of your choice to stay active, simply by going to Settings > Battery > 3 dots (top right) > Battery optimization and selecting the appropriate apps. This will ensure you continue to receive crucial notifications.
Now, if you are desperately in need of extra battery saving, the new Stamina mode is here to help. Once it’s switched on, power-hungry features are intelligently turned-off or limited, to reduce battery consumption (including—but not limited to—GPS, vibration, image enhancement, rendering performance and background data traffic).
Your white-listed apps remain active, whilst others remain restricted. This means you can carry the phone with you, or even wake it up to check the time and key notifications, without activating energy hungry features unnecessarily.
----
As part of our ongoing strategy for the Xperia Beta Program, we are continuously listening to our users' needs and monitoring feature performance—if we can make genuine improvements that will provide a better experience, we will always consider them accordingly.
Thank you very much for your support and feedback.
----
PRO TIP: Activate the new Stamina mode when you’re looking to extend your battery life by going to Settings > Battery > Stamina mode. You can then customize and set the battery level percentage for automatic activation.

You need to have a custom recovery (which you can't have without root). I don't think the bootloader needs to be unlocked for RecRoot.

No HDR+ On Google Camera After Nougat Update

The Hdr+ swich on Google Camera got lost on both of the Nexus 6p's that me and my wife has. Happened with the OTA Android 7.0 Nougat update. I can't find any info about it anywhere. Are there anybody else experiencing this issue? It's very upsettibg to lost the best feature of this device.
Both devices are on stock Android 7.0.
Still on mine after flashing factory image. Did you try re-flashing factory image? It's funny you say it's the best feature. I can never notice that it real does anything.

I'm planning first to go back to factory setting, then I can try flashing it from Pc as you recommend.
Hdr+ mode actually creates a huge difference when it's a low light situation. It generally amazes me.
Tried going back to factory settings ==> Didn't help
Tried flashing the latest factory image (NBD90X) ==> Didn't help
The Hdr+ switch is still not there. I thought flashing would help but nothing changed.
That's very strange... my 6P with the latest Nougat OTA has the HDR+ setting.

I had this problem a hot minute way back when. The only way to fix it for me was to MANUALLY type in each fastboot flash command and I formatted and erased all partitions. Executing the flashall.bat doesn't ever work for me but I just drag and drop all img's (should be like 7 or 8 I don't remember...) Into a new folder on my desktop and jist open a command prompt in side it (shift, right click, open command prompt) and go from there.
Let me know if it works. I could help you out via teamviewer but it won't be till lile 7...

Thank you for your kind offer but I've spent too much time today for this nonsense. Will try your way in the next few days. Btw when exactly this happened to you and do you know the cause of it?
I was using my nexus in Turkish. After Update, Hdr+ mode gone... It was confusing. And then I changed Phone Language to English. After that hdr mode came back
I know, Its weird but It worked. Try to change it English if you are using another Language

When you fastboot boot twrp it asked for a password. Doesn't matter what you set up. I use pattern. It asked for password. I use password and it don't recognize the password I set up.
Haven't tried to root yet either
Can someone tell me whether there any option given anywhere to calibrate the display? I mean I read that the sRGB toggle option is gone from Dev Options, so one has to remain on that god awful default display settings from 8.1 or what?
looks like twrp will need to be updated i get the same symptom, it does not accept any passwords/pins

Yes,
If you want to try AOSP 8.1.
The problem is you can see a screenshot like effect all around the screen margin in red color.
I got irritated by that red square and flashed another ROM.
Other function are okay for daily use.

thank you. Yes that would be irritating and kind of a deal breaker. would be awesome if it could be fixed
Yeah apart from the red frame issue and a very unstable settings app (can't even use search or enter developer options without it crashing), everything seems to be working fine, although both are pretty big deal breakers if you ask me. If they could be fixed that'll be awesome.
