please help me sir , why is my Asus Zenfone max pro M1 screen warm or rather hot at the bottom near the charger port and home button when the screen is on or when browsing? is that normal or not ?? do you have the same as me? try sticking your lips or forehead to the screen at the bottom near the charger port and the home button is the same warm / rather hot or not? thank you
The charging port is warm on my phone too not hot though.
And its only noticable when i put my lips on screen whare the charging port is. But i don't think its something to worry about.

What setting do you use? Why?
I have a skin condition on the complete undersides of my hands (I believe it's called dermatitis or eczema) that causes them to be abnormally dry and peel thick layers off, almost 100% of the time.
Capacitive touch screens usually aren't sensitive enough for the weak current that passes through the tips of my fingers, but this setting, even with a screen protector, will detect one of my digits even if I hold it mere nanometers above the screen.
I also hated the jumpyness of swiping between homescreens due to 10 pixel movement detection. Bleh.
P.S. Did anybody else's Tapatalk favorites break recently? Mine just did.

I've got a dock for my Fassy in each car, and docking it flips it to landscape mode, and since I've got mine running at 800mhz, its not the fastest to do all the operations when undocking. When someone calls me, I've got no chance at answering.
The solution? Snip your cables! Just drill a hole in the back so you can use a screw driver to pry off the back plate. Then snip all the cables except the black and red ones. Now you'll have a charge only dock, no resistors to tell the phone its in a dock. I couldn't find a software solution or a kernel hack.
While I was in there, I installed a bolt so I could bolt it to my dashboard.

Hi I've just got a Note 3 and immediately noticed that there was a yellowish tint to the screen compared to my LG G2. Is it normal?
I've got my Note3 for some time now and haven't noticed anything. You should probably replace it.
How bad is it? As far as I know, the G2 has a pretty cool colour temperature. The Note 3's is closer to the standard 6500k.
Small variations in color temperature and screen brightness are the norm. I think you'll find most prefer a warm screen tone (yellow-whites) to cold (blue-whites).
If you want to change it, I use this app:
Lux

Here's some screens:

Haven't seen it used anywhere before so thought I would post it up. Couldn't justify buying a hot plate for one screen repair, and heat guns just seem a bit temperamental.
...How can I heat my screen evenly to 100DegC and melt the LOCA???
Lightbulb moment - A double boiler!!
Big pot full of water with another empty pot sitting on top. Water can only boil at or around 100degC (depending on how far above sea level you are).
Worked great, nice and cheap and no chance of burning the LCD. Used a playing card to separate the glass from the LCD.
