I'm not so sure. Mostly I use my wifi in my house, never have any problem.
But last night, my data not working, couldn't connect to any sites.
After I reboot the device, the data is working again.
Maybe you need to reboot your device first.

Probably a problem on your side.
the network speed on my Win8 machine is 100% the same as on my win7/linux machine.
do you have any third party software running, that could use up a portion of your network traffic?
also, can you recreate the problem on a stock win8 consumer preview machine?
I can't imagine anything in Win 8 which limits your internet connection speed (vs Win 7). I suppose it could be a driver issue, but if you were running with Win 7 then that shouldn't be an issue.
Perhaps there is something running underneath which isn't automatically turned off while you run that game.

I have 100Mbps too and mine runs fine. @usaff in the UK you can get 100 with Virgin Media.

games internet speed
well first of all i have no speed issues what so ever the same speed as on windows 7 ultimate. second of all this is pre release beta which means no games are compatible at least yet. i would hope that you took the time to partition your hard drive as i did.
hey so every time i turn on my wifi connection on the phone my web surfing on my pc get slow and the ping get high i dont know why this happen in the last week and i cant fix it and i dont know what happen ?! what should i do / ? when i turn of my wifi connection on the phone every thing become fast again on the pc kinda weird i dont know what to do help !!

Well, there's background data transfer, like google keyboard that download language without notif, so it probably there's app that download something in background

Have you tried rebooting the router to see if things clear up? Is the PC on wifi as well? What kind of router?

actually no .. i didnot do that yet im going to do that in a sec and tell u what happen .. yea i have laptop and its on the same wifi connection .. the kind if the router is bezeq netgear wireless n ( bezeq is my internet provider )
I've had my Shield TV for about 3 months. Recently it's started not having any network connectivity (not even local) at times. It seems to be after it goes to sleep and wakes up, but I'm not sure that it happens every time yet. The Shield says its connected to my wifi, but does recognize there is a problem because it has a ! on the wifi symbol. I have to either restart or disconnect/reconnect to get it to work. Does anyone have a similar problem like this?

the only way I found to have very few disconnections is not to have a lot of devices connected to the same channel of the rooter. 2-3 max included shield.
this issue affects a lot of users included me and you.
Just start using it for a weeks. Notice it keep trigger me network connection lost during i play games. anyone facing the same scenario.

Use Bluetooth tethering instead of WiFi hotspot.
Pair your device that need internet connection with the hotspot phone.

Yup, I was mostly doing that but I heard that there is a option to share through WIFI. Which can be more fast than Bluetooth tethering.
But I don't know how to access in here..

WiFi tethering is faster but it can only share Mobile Data, cannot share WiFi. Use WiFi tethering on your Windows PC. It can share connected WiFi.
