To simplify my question , some brands like (htc ) release same device with different screens (htc sensation is released with both sharp and acer screens ) , now my question is how i can confirm that the screen on my tab is samsung made PLS screen , not a cheap version for middle east region with normal screen.
Thanks and regards,
this is the article that made me think that way http://www.slashgear.com/samsung-gal...tage-10158766/
it says that some galaxy tab 10.1 will have different screens due to shortage and thicker bodey , any one can help me recognize what screen i have on my tab

Read the comments on that article...it seems as though the problem existed with the 8.9, NOT the 10.1.

The article's from June and the source is a Mac website who I'm guessing isn't really in the loop about what's happening at Samsung. For whatever reason, what they predicted never happened. Samsung manufactures all their own display panels unlike other OEM's. If there was a spec change, it would propbably be done regionally with whatever's changed clearly noted to the public. There's nothing to indicate that all the 10.1 display's aren't the same.

Super PLS is just a type of IPS screen. You should be able to tell by looking at it that it's an IPS screen, as lesser alternatives really screw up the colors/contrast as you look at sharper angles. If any of these had something other than an IPS screen, I'm sure there would be plenty of stories/posts about it.
So the real question is: do you have a "generic" IPS screen, or a Super PLS. Considering that Super PLS is less expensive to produce than traditional IPS, are you concerned that you may have a cheap PLS screen, or are you concerned that they spent extra money to send you a generic IPS screen?

So s4 is in stores now and we saw its features hardware and software. I saw the airview feature by hand for example. My question is that cna we get that working to our notes or is it a hardware issue?
Hardware. We won't get a whole lot of gesture stuff that uses IR sensor either. We'll get eye scroll and smart pause (hopefully) though.
The one that you hover your hand to answer the phone? Isnt that controlled with the front sensors?
No, there is dedicated hardware for that. If you want an S4, you need to buy an S4, not hold out hope that the N2 will get a bunch of magical upgrades.
from what i saw s4 sensor is very sensitive, you need to be very close and you will sometimes missclick(seen in the samsung event shown in youtube videos)
the note 2 gives you at least 1.5-2cm with the spen so it works better

s4 has feature called something like "improve touch sensitivity" with that ticked you can work on it even with gloves on. yes with that theres some misslicking when airviewing but turn it off and touch/airview works perfect.
also, s4 has noticeably sharper screen
tried s4 last week
S4 screen is clearly better than N2. No blue/green tint and less staturate. I love to use Pro Photo or Movies mode.
S4 screen suffer smearing while Note 2 not! I use some black background apps and it annoy me in late evening

People who wear glasses love the smart features as half the time they dont work as the camera doesnt detect the white in our eyes :crying:
Damn, I really wanted that answer with gesture.
Misleading title!

I find the screen amazing on N2, but for saturation issues try going to Settings > Display > Screen Mode and select Natural or Standard,, that should sort it.

Natural and Standard are not enough. Note 2 got blue/green tint.

That's not blue, that's the green tint, yes. You could get rid of that easily by flashing perseus.
http://youtu.be/x6-a_sQbRSo?t=1m53s - at least to my eyes, whites appear "whiiter" on Note II, even on stock.
Either way, moot point.

Hi ,
will a screen/digi from a samsung galaxy s5 work on a s5 lte-a g901f? I have purchased about 3 screens for the s5 and all it keeps doing is showing the samsung logo, battery vibrates twice then reboots in this loop.
Anyone know the answer on what screen i would need?
Are those screens legit? Are those AMOLED displays? If not, then there's your problem.
i just ordered a screen off ebay -s5 screen replacement.

Dude, are they even compatible with the G901F? Does it say in the title or description? Or better said, is it a real AMOLED display?
so i have found out now, no they are not compatable. tried looking for a 901f screen with no luck or the ones i have found are way more than the phones worth.

Yes, you can, because the dimensions of the phone are practically the same
yes, its same, you can use it, just the note7's LED flip cover wont work as there is some internal small changes on FE.
