Hi ,
I have a Oneplus 5 128GB mobile which got some encryption error after the OS up-gradation and factory reset is done. I am trying to recover the data through third party software. I need help in rooting my device so that i can perform the recovery process.
Any other process to recover the data ?
After the reset i haven't used the mobile since the overwriting may happen . I need guidance to root my mobile and recover the lost data. Kindly assist me in this.
There are over 100 rooting guides on xda, search the oneplus forums for the relevant guide for your device.

Hi
The first thing I did after rooting my device was encrypting it for maximum security etc..
Afterwars I wanted to change some things like flashing a update.zip eg. for Cerberus oder Avast Anti-Theft. For this, I had to decrypt my device. Otherwise CWM would not be able mounting the needed paths. But that feature is greyed out in settings and refering to the device help or google help, it's not possible decrypting a device once it's crypted.
I can't understand that..
On my Samsung S3 I'm able to en- and decrypt the device at anytime. Why not on my Nexus 7? I think, when Google releases a new firmware update there is also decryption needed. Otherwise I had to reset it to factory settings until I could update it with new firmware, in my understanding.
Any hints and tricks available?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if this is what you need, but TWRP 2.2.2.0 supports Nexus 7 encryption. Only way to "decrypt" is Factory Reset from the device, or ADB, Tool Kit, etc...

Hi guys I have a problem, I am using miui7 developer ROM and my phone has been compromised twice, I have had my bank account hacked(long story but calls where diverted and bank log in details changed) and 4 days ago someone tried to log on to my banking app remotely 5 times and so it was locked down, bank has confirmed it was my phone and my WiFi provider that was used and I know it wasn't me, so I have tried to flash 2 ROMs using all the correct methods and it always results in the same, a boot loop, I am wondering if partitions have been messed with, or if there is something hidden on the file system causing this, what I would like to do is wipe everything, I don't mean just system data cache etc I have tried all that unsuccessfully, I mean fully wipe and reset all the partitions memory emc chip and totally start fresh, can anyone help please, I really need to sort it out I know my phone is compromised because of things that have happened. Any solutions please. Anyone experienced malware in miui7 ROMs? Your help is really appreciated.

Redmi note 4g single sim doir, bootloader not sure never unlocked so presume locked, rooted and unrooted tried both methods, flashed plenty of ROMs in the past without trouble.
Sorry but i cant really help since i do not own the device. It would probably be best to try to find a solution on miui forum, directly ask a member of a Dior device team. And don't know if you flashed through recovery or fastboot mode - try both mehtods, also developer/stable rom. I think flashing through fastboot also acts as a full factory reset. There must be a tutorial for unbricking or resolving bootloops. Also try some custom cm/aosp based roms to see if the phone will boot. And since miui is chinese, you can presume that there is some data leaking, but i don't think that it contains malware - it would be too much even for xiaomi (unless you "picked up" some shady script/trojan/whatever along the way).
Hi everyone,
So recently my mom updated her Redmi Note LTE and since then it's been softbricked and stuck in a boot loop. The kicker is, aside from photos, the phone is not backed up in terms of settings and notes and data. My mom wants to keep this data before I reset or anything because there are actually a bunch of important things she wants to keep.
I'm wondering now if there's any way to install a recovery or access the phone's internal storage to pull backups without erasing anything just yet. I can still launch into Fastboot and MIUI Recovery if that helps.
I would also like to point out that at the current time I am not 100% sure if USB debugging was ever enabled prior to soft brick, as I am also unable to access that now :/
Thanks in advance for any help given!
Hi, I have the same pb here. I have tried this but I don't know if I have a MTK or other processor phone (Qualcom ?). Maybe if I hd a fastboot ROM, but I have a .zip...
Hi
I master resetted my phone (samsung galaxy s8) a while ago and I used it for ond year. NOw I need to recover data to have acess to data before resetting. However, to do this I need to root my device which means wiping the data again. I have tried a lot of software and apps and all of them need rooting. My question is that is it possible to recover my data after one reset and one root? Isn't the data overwritten?
P.S: Is android pie image available for S8?
Hi guys, I realize this is an OLD device, and that this section probably isn't as frequently visited as others. I've got an SM-G550T1 that I've been trying to extract data from, but there's a dm-verity verification failure and it will not fully boot. Safe mode doesn't appear to work either.
So far, I've tried the Exynos Recovery method in Cellebrite UFED to no avail. All other methods within Cellebrite prompt for "tapping Allow" but obviously this can't be done due to the fact that it cannot boot into the OS. Or should I just ignore these messages and let Cellebrite do its thing? I've never had a device with this issue before.
Recovery and attempting to recover the data after the fact seems worthless as it'll be encrypted anyway. Looking for any assistance in this matter!
Hey there! I totally understand that dealing with an old device can have its challenges. It sounds like you've already tried some methods like Exynos Recovery in Cellebrite UFED, but unfortunately, haven't had success due to the dm-verity verification failure and the inability to fully boot into the OS. It's frustrating when recovery and data extraction efforts seem to hit roadblocks.
I'm not exactly sure about the prompt messages you're seeing within Cellebrite, but it's possible that they won't affect the data extraction process. However, it's always better to be cautious and not ignore any potential warnings that could compromise the data. Have you considered reaching out to the manufacturer or a professional data recovery service for assistance https://www.nannostomus.com/ ? They might have more specialized knowledge or tools that could help you recover the data from the device. In any case, I hope you find a solution that works for you!
