Hi guys would be grateful for any help in this matter. I have recently purchased a HTC Wildifire which was functioning perfectly until I attempted to upgrade to android 2.2, when I did the touchscreen and buttons now refuse to respond to any input, both were working fine before the update was installed. I have tired Hard Reset and Recovery Mode both to no avail. I was wondering if you had any suggestions of how to fix this. The phone is currently not rooted and is running a T-mobile branded rom version 1.25.110.1
...
I have exactly the same problem. Neither touch-screen nor any buttons work after installing Android 2.2 on my Wildfire. Interestingly, I am also with T-Mobile. Does anyone know how to deal with this fault?
Still no luck trying to fix this. I've tired to reflash the stock T-Mobile Rom RUU_Buzz_TMO_UK_1.14.110.1_Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.19_release_130442_signed.exe but everytime i'm faced with the bootloader version 140 error. I can't create a goldcard because the touchscreen doesn't work hence can't enable USB debugging. I'm really at wits end dunno what to do, seems i'm just going to have to send it to HTC for repair =/
Hey guys! A week ago my phone started bugging, vibrating randomly and playing weird sounds until it turned off (rooted and rom installed, standard kernel). I tried to charge it but was unsuccesful. It simply would not charge nor connect to the pc. After playing with it i managed to get another rom installed. This did not fix the problem though. I believed the battery was the problem so I went and bought a new one, but once again it would not charge. I opened my phone to see if i could see any loose connection or something, but I was not able too see anything faulty. I'm now 100% sure this is a hardware issue, so would i be able to send it to Samsung for warranty-repair even though i have rooted my phone and flashed a different software? Thanks in advance!
I would really appreciate some help on this topic!
You tripped Knox so it's highly unlikely they'll repair it. Did you try a factory reset? Also might want to try flashing an Official firmware for your phone.
Sent from my SM-N910C using XDA Free mobile app
Yes factory reset and everything. As I said I'm SURE this is a hardware issue because the USB transfer/battery transfer is damaged. I also am not able to connect to Odin which further confirms that it is hardware related. How can i flash an official rom without Odin?
I have now had it in for repair at a local proffesional (no warranty). He told me he was not able to repair it and that he was unable to find the source of the problem. I love this phone and I would do anything to get it working again...

You could try to replace the USB module and see if that works. It's very cheap and worth a try.
I have already tried that.. I really have no idea of what to do
What can i flash via recovery to fully clean it of anything and set it as close as possible to factory standard or simply GET IT TO WORK? Any help is very appreciated
Recently I replaced the USB port on an i337 that was previously my daughter's phone. I used a replacement part for an i9505. I noticed that the soft keys don't work. I can't say if they were working before I repaired the USB port since I didn't pay that much attention, and it was my daughter's phone.
So, is there anyway that the complete loss of the soft keys is related to the repair? Is there a way to tell if this is software related or a hardware issue? I have done a factory reset with no resolution. The phone is running the stock Samsung/AT&T ROM 5.0.1. After searching, I've read a few scattered ideas, but I haven't found any good guide yet.
TIA

Actually, I think this phone was previously carrier unlocked with a code from cellunlocker. I don't know if that info is helpful.

I have never replace the USB port before so I could not answer whether the softkey problem related to the hardware replacement. However, I ran into the softkeys problem when I updated my phone to OK2 version of lollipop. I solved the problem by installing the OC4 version of lollipop. If your stock AT&T rom is OK2 then softkey problem might be related to the software problem.
I won't dismiss any ideas about this being a ROM version issue, but the phone was working fine until my daughter destroyed the USB port. At least she didn't say anything about the soft keys not working. That's why I'm wondering about how to get to diagnosing this.

Please One of main forum rule is dont bump threads. I know youre in a rush because u wanna know whats going on on your phone but keep this in mind.
My suggestion. Get Samsung Kies, hook up your Phone in Downloading mode and do a total restore. If this will not help you can also try samsung firmware downloader and flash everything custom to stock via Odin. Try first method if this will not help, pm me. If the hole thing will not work i think your EFS partition is bad or corrupted maybe.
I had a similar problem, the only way I managed to fix it was by using Samsung smart switch. Here's how:
I am not responsible if this ends up destroying you phone
1- download Samsung smart switch to your pc http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch/assets/downloads/Smart_Switch-PC_setup.exe
2- Put your phone into download mode ( Turn off your phone, press the volume down + home + power button together and then press the volume up)
3- connect your phone to your pc via USB cable
4- open Samsung smart switch
5- on the top right there is a option button click on it
6- now click on emergency recovery
7- now click on device initialization tab
8- now enter your model name. For example: SM-G928C
9- now enter your serial number. You can find this in your box.
10- after that agree to everything and it will start downloading your original rom. This will take a while.
After that hopefully you phone will boot up.
allready tried everything you writte. didnt help. but thank you guys for helping
thanks for help grsjohn, i havent fix efs yet. because i dont have so much time. just reading a little a day about it. i havent any efs backup or something.

Hello, I had many phones from clients with your issue, it's a hardware issue, baseband got damaged, if you flash different firmware versions and fix efs an result is still baseband unknown for sure is hardware issue. Probably guy from who you bought that phone knew about this problem, baseband cannot get damaged after frp reset, I do this kind of operations often and never had problems

Hello all,
I need to help a friend with his Note 4 N910W. The devices has some software issues but has a bad USB. Can not be flashed with Odin.
Already replaced the complete Charging port Flex/Module but still not connecting to PC for data. It doesn't also fast charge as I believe it uses the data pin to detect the charger plugged in.
I have tried rooting without pc then flashing a custom rom but can't find a rooting method.
Can anyone help or point to where a can get a ROM/FIRMWARE which is signed and can flash via the Stock Android Recovery cos I think it's the only next thing that can work.
Thanks.
