I just successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016). This tablet is only being used for music. It's connected to an audio system with a regular audio cable. After a certain amount of hours played (approx. 20 hours I read somewhere), the volume shoots down below the unsafe volume zone. I need to disable this. I found an Xposed module (http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.pyler.nosafevolumewarning), but it's not working (probably out of date too).
Is there any way I can disable it? Also found this guide (https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-automatically-disable-the-high-volume-warning-without-root/), but am kinda hoping for another way.

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S4 (to replace my HTC Evo, which I liked except for its limited memory capacity).
I like the Galaxy but it has this REALLY annoying sound effect that happens 5 minutes after I turn the screen off, or if the screen shuts off by itself. It plays a little melody, leaving the screen black... when I turn it back on, there's nothing obvious flashing up, no notifications, nothing... it's just the same as when I turned the screen off. I've turned off "Screen Lock Sound" under Settings / Sound / System, and I've browsed through the file system (using "Astro" file manager) to System / Media / Audio / UI and looked for the actual; sound effect, hoping that I might be able to delete it (although I doubt if that's even possible, without rooting the device... that's another story...)
I think it might be a 3rd party application, rather than a system sound, because if I lower the "Media" volume, then the sound effect is quieter. If it were a system sound I would expect the main volume to be the relevant setting. I don't want to turn off the entire volume on my device just for the sake of one annoying sound.
Does anyone have any experience of this same phenomenon with this device? Or any idea what it might be?
Please help, it's driving me crazy!
Thanks
Must be an app because I don't have this plus you say it's media
Hello
I have just recently purchased a Nexus 7 (the old style, not this years new model) which is running Android 4.3.
When using a pair of headphones/ear phones (just simple stereo ones, no fancy headset buttons) after about an hour the volume drops considerably. I usually have it up more than 30% of the way which causes that goddarned "safe volume" message to appear, but I simply dismiss it by hitting OK. I have an audio enhancement application - Equalizer - which I use but even changing it to the stock MusicFX plug-in it still stays at this really low volume until a few hours have passed with no audio.
Its really really annoying, and I've been through every option in the settings to try and disable it or stop it from doing it.
Does anyone know how to fix this without root?
Thanks
Dan
(PS yes I'm in the UK)
Is there a way to disable the annoying feature that reduces volume when a 3.5mm aux cable is connected to the phone? LG claims this is to "protect my ears". I'm a big boy, I can protect my own darn ears! I use my phone to play music in my car (why Mazda didn't include an A2DP profile on the Miata until the 2013 model year is beyond me) and every time someone texts me or calls me the volume level gets reduced, causing me to need to grab the phone and raise it back up which, needless to say, is dangerous and annoying.
great description, I would also like to see a work around to this issue.
I have been wondering this since day 1.
There's an Xposed mod that does that, maybe we could get the dev to add G2 support.

Meanwhile I can look for that particular code inside the framework files, but it would be a dirty fix as everyone would have to edit the smali for their own ROM.
Hey everyone,
I'm running Emporia ROM . As the title says, I want to remove the volume warning without installing Xposed framework, due to the reduction in battery life and performance. The ROM is perfect otherwise, but I would really like to remove the volume warning. Perhaps a zip you can flash? I know there are some apps that do the job, but would prefer a direct modification rather than a workaround
Secondary question, is there a way to disable notifications over Bluetooth when connected to my car's stereo? When I get a notification, it plays over both my phone speaker and then the stereo 1 second later. I would much prefer to have it play solely over the phone's speaker, and eliminate notification sounds over stereo completely. For now I'm resorting to setting the phone to vibrate every time I get in the car.
Also, is there anyway to delete that horrid pop up that occurs every time I enable Bluetooth? I always hit cancel since my phone pairs automatically, and it is incredibly annoying considering it serves no purpose
Thank you XDA
Bump, looking for answers
Hi folks,
I noticed that on both the original Huawei headset as well as a JBL headset (both wired) the respective remote control on the headsets stops responding after some time or a various number of clicks when listening to the music.
The music continues to run normally on the headphones and can also be skipped and paused via the app but not over the button on the cable. The Google Assistant will also no longer pop up when the button is pressed for a longer time.
When I reboot the phone without touching anything on the cable or pull it out and reinsert, the remote works again normally ...
I've already performed a hard-reset with a complete new installation which did not change anything about the behavior described above.
I'm a little bit concerned that it's a defective hardware....
But this should be a software problem if a simple reboot fixes that problem???
