There hasn't been an update to any of the community ROM entries since January 24th, and I know there have been new versions of multiple ROMs released since then. According to the wiki, not a single person here has bothered to do anything with EB13, and that's just not true.

It is a wiki, if you want to change it change it... oh and like koane said, I got in before it was moved to general since that is where it should be.

I updated the whole ODIN and Flashing part of the wiki about a month ago. It was full of dead links and old image files.

This is quite true. We love our users - but we can't do it all! You'd be helping us out a lot if you all did some updating.

I always thought it was meant for devs to update their own stuff. Now that I know it isn't will be participating more in keeping it up to date.
This was a request that we ALL pitch in and keep it updated. The fact that you people would rather post bull**** and snarky comments, instead of taking it as a simple request shows a lot about this community.
Regardless, my post did what it was meant to do. The wiki is magically updated with current information!

Yes, I think CM will be releasing something on the start of december...
I already see some ports to Nexus devices (including 7 2012&2013), maybe someone who knows coding may port it for us as a preview or a test build, the same way that somebody tried with MIUI from Nexus 7 2013 \o/
A dev could attempt a vanilla asop build.

My friend actually thought me how to build from source, so I am going to try to build android l rom for tab 2 7" but i kind of forgot how, but i will let you guys know how it goes!

And yup, I'm really excited! I guess CM or PA will be the first ones to release the ROMS for our Tabs. My only worry is about the CPU (kind of outdated).

Also, OFFICIAL NEWS ABOUT CYANOGENMOD 12: They said that initial works should be seen in the first days of next month or even in the ending of this month. Note: official nightlies only for devices with official device maintainers (don't know if Tab 2 still have one) :good::good::good:

There's also another developer which left. It's Varun, the guy who built AOSP 5.0 for Xperia L. Lots of questions on the development thread made him leave. Oh well, hope he comes back.
Afaik, we have no active maintainer. Codeworkx used to be our maintainer, but he left. Just sent an email to CyanogenMod about this.

it would be a problem only if the developers didnt want their rom posted to xda(yet). for that i suggest that you ask their permission for posting.

This is my build of Beanstalk - not official and it has a few small bugs. I'll put a thread in the Android Development sub forum this evening. I haven't wiped data (bad me) since the good build I had on the 26th of December so some things might be better than they are right now on my phone. Right now, the bugs include double vibrate on back button (i'll admit i have no clue where to look to fix that) and a bug with 3G network name when you lose LTE that I think i *might've" fixed in the newest build that isn't even on AndroidFileHost yet.
Its working great so for no bugs yet great work

Dirty Unicorns left XDA because of toxicity, self entitled newcomers, constant feature and ETA requests, etc. They reside on G+ and Devs Base now. It kinda stinks but at least you know they're still out there and where to find them. :good:

Yeah I know where they're hiding out and I'm actually running the rom right now, solid rom btw. Things are looking bleak around here though. IMO people that are whiny new comers, most of them are actually just trolls trying to get a rise out of people and should just be ignored. There's nothing making anyone respond to them..

My, my. If My posts have driven them away then they are indeed too easily irritated. Yes I understand the frustration, with criticism, lack of appreciation for their work, the people who continue to ask the same questions that have already been answered many times in the same thread, etc. I respect their right to leave behind the source of the irritation if they so desire. At the same time I claim the right not to follow them to something (G+) that I find irritating. I have no real disrespect for those Devs who choose that path but I do wish they could find a way to stay active on XDA.
So, apologies all around for any offense I have given. I did not intend any. Merely expressing a wish and what might be needed for them to stay.

I'm running DU as well. It is running great. I understand why some Dev's stopped posting here. "This is broke" (with no logcat) "I want this obscure feature", "When will the next release come out?" "Can you answer a question that was answered 10 pages back?" Many Dev's have taken to G+. It's not hard to find them. But it's also not as easy as coming here and asking questions that should not be being asked of the DEV's who do this for fun. Some here simply ruin it for the rest of us.

Thats not correct,
Only the original developement has stopped (so no more CM Version will come out)
There are lots of community versions, basically fir every device is a community made version availible (mostly for older/low-end devices)
I know of CM 14.1 for Sony Xperia M, Sony Xperia Z3 and so on.
Those devices dont get official updates by cyanogenmod team, jzst from community developers.
And its possible that some community developer bring CM for Pixel devices as well.

One reason is that if it uses the Qualcomm Bluetooth stack instead of AOSP, then you can probably hack the image to let you use the APT-x bluetooth codec for a slightly better audio quality experience.

I really do think it's because the software is not finalized yet. It's not even world wide, I bet they're still trying to polish it before they release the kernel.

One doesn't exclude the other. I don't think the update carries just the bootloader fix. My point is, they are using it as an excuse to release sources after all updates are done (the more updates, the more time they gain with that excuse).
What they should be doing instead is releasing sources the moment binaries are out like any developer-friendly, and more importantly, GPL-abiding entity.
You think a dev would publish a kernel based on their sources, if they released it earlier, without correcting the vulnerability themselves? The xda article said (sultanxda) it could be fixed by just a letter change in all instances of a "word" xD.

They're probably trying to hide their poor/ broken code. Anyway, they're violating GPL by not releasing the source code. It's a poor move by OP whom I had hope for. This Nougat launch has been completely botched by them.

Are you a OP employee or something? Without sources we can't get a proper TWRP or proper custom Roms and kernels.
How many normal phone users even know what TWRP or custom ROM is? They are happy when they get apps installed, that's all customization they do.

As if Carl Pei doesn't know this. Acting like it is some "grand plan" to screw over developers is ridiculous. While a day or week seems like eternity to developers, the sun still rises. OP no doubt read the huge XDA article calling them out yesterday so just chill.

As if there aren't already a multitude of ROMs one can load for the OP on XDA right now. I could install a different one every day of the week and not run out for a while. The article yesterday by XDA to OP was well put...They have nothing to gain but bad publicity for not releasing it, so they probably have good cause. Relax.

Yes,and the Roms don't fully work properly, the camera isn't full quality because of no "N" blobs etc,etc.

OK. Got your point - but 2 1/2 week? If you don't want to publish your code at the same time you publish your ready compiled product, don't base it on code under GPLv2. Period. BTW: Do you know, that Carl Pei commited OnePlus to zero-day source-code pushes? Considering this, you should accept our insisting on N sources.
