[CYANOGENMOD 10,11] [I9195] [MIRROR] SNAPSHOTS&RCs - Galaxy S 4 Mini General

Hello there,
Since most people miss cyanogenmod and it is hard to find a working mirror i copied some serranoltexx roms from my hdd and uploaded them. (When they shut down the servers i grabbed as much as possible)
DEVICES
I9195
THIS ROM WAS NOT MADE BY ME THESE ARE JUST MIRRORS
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
explosions , or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Dont flash this rom if you don't know what data loss, bootloop and hard brick are. YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you
point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the moment i only have found cm10 and cm11 on my usb drives
I have to fiddle around with them and see if i got cm13 and cm12
Time to flash the good old rom
Links
I9195: Download
Tutorial:
boot to recovery (TWRP/CWM)
TAKE A NANDROID BACKUP(Optional) I higly recommend twrp because there are some partitions that cwm does not backup.
Download Gapps
Wipe data then install cyanogenmod zip.
EDIT: DEPRECATED
USE INTERNET ARCHIVE INSTEAD
GT-I9195
I9190
I9192 was not supported back then
THERE WERE MUCH MORE DEVICES ARCHIVED (I THINK ALMOST ALL)
You just have to wait a bit when you click on a build , it redirects you to another archived site.
Unlike me who directly leaves after 2 secs.

[SGH-i257m][ROOT] A Newbs Guide To Rooting & Modding the CANADIAN S4 Mini

Hey There!!
Just a little guide I threw together for all the new CANADIAN SGH-i257m S4 Mini owners out there who are looking to join the world of modded Androids
I found it quite difficult to track all the info down on Google over the last couple of weeks and have yet to find a CLEAR guide as to how to go about modding this specific model of phone, and unlocking its true potential so I figured I'd throw one up on here since everyone has been so helpful, so here it is!
* If anyone notices anything wrong or changes I need let me know!*
*Disclaimer*
First off I would like to say that I in NO WAY had anything to do with developing ANY of these methods that I am about to explain here, they are property of their respective owners, I am just placing them in a clear order for new users to follow so if anyone has any issues with this please let me know and i will fix it ASAP!
I also assume that you have backed up all of your contacts ETC on the phone to either the sim card or google or something. Its always safer to start from scratch and restore a backup right?
Also, PLEASE READ THE WHOLE GUIDE, and ANY linked posts. They have some good answers to a lot of peoples issues with rooting and whatnot
WARNING:
!*!*!*!THE METHODS EXPLAINED BELOW DO TRIP THE KNOX 0X1 WARRANTY FLAG!*!*!*!
If you are at all afraid of tripping the flag and voiding your warranty the please DO NOT continue as I, nor anyone else here are responsible for ANY damage or warranty issues you may run into after this. You are still able to flash a STOCK ROM back onto the phone but the 0x1 flag will always be there.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Another thing I should mention is that although these posts/files are technically for the GT-i9195(LTE) model, I have tested this on my personal phone (SGH-i257m) and I assure you it works GREAT with no problems if you follow the instructions given.
If you DONT want CyanogenMod 11 and want to roll with the stock ROM, you can refer to THIS post. Just follow the instructions as if your phone is the GT-i9195

The recovery and ROM's for the 9195 should work just fine on it. The only thing is that the model number will be set as GT-I9195. However, in latest CM11 nightlies I've added a routine which will identify which variant it is, and it will set the model number accordingly.

HERES HOW TO INSTALL CyanogenMod 11 and recovery-clockwork on your SGH-i257m:
Heres the Original Post By arco68 if your interested!
1.You need to download 4 files to your computer (linked below) and move gapps and CM 11 over to your phones internal storage
Odin 3.09
gapps version 20140105
recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serranoltexx.tar.md5 extracted on your pc (YOU MUST USE THIS RECOVERY TO FLASH CM 11) just download it from that post
CyanogenMod 11 Nightly LTE VERSION
!!MAKE SURE YOU GET THE LATEST ABOVE VERSION OF CYANOGEN! IT IS THE GT-I9195 VERSION AND IS REQUIRED FOR YOUR PHONE TO WORK PROPERLY!! YOU MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE OTHERWISE
Now the fun part! After you have installed Odin and extracted recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serranoltexx.tar.md5 somewhere on your pc :
2. Turn off the phone.
-Press and hold home, volume down and power. A "Download" screen should appear (a big yellow triangle, youll know when you see it)
-Connect your USB cable, and press volume up to continue.
-Start Odin, and uncheck "F. Reset Time", and then click AP button.
-Select "recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serranoltexx.tar.md5" file that you previously downloaded and extracted, and press Start button (Odin might seem like it hung up when you first load the file but just let it do its thing!! It eventually let you press start). The phone will reboot when finished.
-After the phone resets (it wil vibrate) IMMEDIATELY hold volume up and home buttons to boot into recovery mode. if you miss it dont worry you can always try again.
3. Once your in recovery your going to want to wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache
4. Now choose install from sdcard and navigate to the files we put on there earlier, and install cm-11
5. When that is complete install gapps the same way you installed cm-11
6. REBOOT PHONE AND PROFIT!
Thats basically it people. After that is HIGHLY suggest going and reading the ORIGINAL posts where i got all of this info from, so you can be familiar yourselves Feel free to post any feedback or questions and ill get back to you ASAP!
Enjoy your new rooted and amazingly awesome SGH-i257m
SIDE NOTES:
1.Be sure to use the built in updater for Cyanogen! I have it set to check for updates DAILY (because its still in daily duuuuh ) and everything will work beautifully!
2.I DO NOT recommend restoring your apps data etc from your old rom using google backups, as it re-installs ALL the bloatware that is removed when you install CM11. Instead use an app like AppBak to give you a list of what you had so you can choose

The guide looks pretty much set just you might want to start your thread title with something like [SGH-I257M].
You can also mention which of the two ROMs you used and have tested with and if possible just inform readers to use that one (arco68 did mention that the GT-I9195 was the one that the SGH-I257M is identical to and not the GT-I9190) to avoid confusion.
Cheers!

You should help these folks that stumble upon this from google as well to show them how to unlock the phone to use in the States on ATT or Tmobile. When I unlocked mine I used the regionlockaway app after rooting using the s4 mini rootkit and was on stock rom. Was painless and smooth. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470551
Also you could inform them that all lte roms work for our phone as in 9195 roms. BUT there kernels DO NOT work.
And just another thing about roms, Cyanogenmod is a basic AOSP with very little customizbility, Liquidsmooth is the best option for AOSP on our phones, Ive always hated basic cyanogenmod builds link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2676053 and also ive never liked clockworkmod recoveries as well lol.. we have twrp touchscreen recovery as an option on our phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589011
EDIT: also if anyone is looking for stock rom firmwares to flash to odin they can be found here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ by searching for i257m and picking which carrier you want.

They do but then they get identified as a 9195 and we lose features that are I257M exclusive.

And what features are those? I thought we gained not lost,FM radio wasn't an option stock and it is after 9195 roms
Is this confirmed to be working on MK5? And does MI3 have KNOX installed or is it the MK5 update that installs it? Thanks in advance

There are some S4 features such as the smart stay and some of the gestures that was put into the I257M and I haven't seen a 9195 rom with those in it. The radio is nice if you use it.

I do believe that MI3 has KNOX but there is something in Mk5 that makes it harder to get around.

Being completely new to the technical aspects of this phone i wanted some clarification on the details. I did some more research and asked a bunch of questions of ExiLeX420. He very graciously answered in detail. Thank you ExiLeX420. I incorporated the results as some Notes and Explanations into his original post and reproduced it here. Hope this helps, especially others who are new like me!
As i post this i have not done this procedure yet myself. I have been having a technical problem requiring that i return the phone for repair. Once that process is settled, or my warranty runs out, then i will consider doing this myself.
Note:
The phone is rooted once you INSTALL CM11 (arco has it pre rooted for you), but the KNOX flag is tripped when you flash the custom recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serranoltexx.tar.md5 onto the phone using Odin. Once you do this there is no going back! As soon as ANYTHING on the inside of the phone is modified via something other than Samsung it gets set to 0x1.
Before beginning do the following ...
Save your contacts to an external SD card
Download the stock i257m ROM from Sammobile. The link is at the end of this note. The stock ROM is actually very good to have because it allows you to start FRESH. Yes the KNOX flag will always be tripped, but it DOES allow you to get updates once you flash the stock ROM back onto the phone using Odin. But there is no need to update as CM11 runs on 4.4.
If you would like a list of all the apps on your phone then install AppBak and run it before proceeding with step 1 of the guide below. That way you'll have a list of all the apps you had if you want them back. The program even links them in the play store. Just run it again after finishing step 6 below to restore your apps. OTOH, if you have only a few apps to transfer over just write down a list and re-download/install them fresh.
====================
1.You need to download 4 files to your computer (linked below), and move gapps and CM 11 over to your phones storage - you could in theory use the internal storage but for the sake of this just use the external sd card.
Odin 3.09
gapps version 20140105
recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-serranoltexx.tar.md5 extracted on your pc (YOU MUST USE THIS RECOVERY TO FLASH CM 11) just download it from that post
CyanogenMod 11 Nightly LTE VERSION
Notes:
gapps is a version of the google play store that works with CM 11 and allows you to download apps regularly, as if the phone wasn't modded.
Extracting the md5 from the zip is simple - just double click the zip and out comes the md5.
We are using the Nightly version of CyanogenMod rather than a release Candidate or even a Stable version because according to arco68 "the SGH-I257M ... in latest CM11 nightlies I've added a routine which will identify which variant it is, and it will set the model number accordingly. It sets the model number properly so you retain all of the features the phone comes with originally".
!!MAKE SURE YOU GET THE LATEST ABOVE VERSION OF CYANOGEN! IT IS THE GT-I9195 VERSION AND IS REQUIRED FOR YOUR PHONE TO WORK PROPERLY!! YOU MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE OTHERWISE

-After the phone resets (it wil vibrate) IMMEDIATELY hold volume up and home buttons to boot into recovery mode. if you miss it dont worry you can always try again.
Note:
If you miss you don't have to do ALL of the above steps over; you just have to boot into recovery using the volume up and home buttons. Just keep the phone in your hand and wait for it to reboot and vibrate, and when it does hold the power, home, and volume up buttons and you'll get into recovery.
3. Once your in recovery your going to want to wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache.
Note:
This step is done to delete all the old data left from the stock ROM so nothing conflicts with CM11. Use this method ...
Turn your Galaxy S4 mini OFF.
Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons on your device until the logo appears, then release.
Once Android system recovery loads, use the volume buttons to navigate to ”Wipe data/Factory reset” and the power button to select it.
Confirm your choice by selecting “Yes”.
Select “Reboot System Now”.
There are separate options to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache.
4. Now choose install from sdcard and navigate to the files we put on there earlier, and install cm-11
5. When that is complete install gapps the same way you installed cm-11
6. REBOOT PHONE AND PROFIT!

Alcatel OT POP C7 (7041x) [BACKUPS/ROOT/CWM/TWRP/TOOLS/DRIVER] [STOCK & MIUI V5 ROMs]
Last Update: Mon. AUG-03-2015
Hello,
I had bricked my "just" 4 hours old C7 a week ago because i was stupid enough to delete the custpacks from root and /system folders without even making a backup.
I had not flashed CWM and only rooted the device with RomasterSu_2.1.4 (aka iROOT, some Chinese one-click root / KingUser app) and i could not revive the phone through MTK Tools, Mobile Upgrade S or adb shell (either device not recognized or it couldn't push files, giving errors).
Today i got a new one, and hell i have not made the same mistake again.
After i unboxed the phone i immediately went into stock recovery and made a backup!
Secondly, i rooted the phone with RomasterSu and installed Uncle MTK Tools and made a IMEI backup (Just incase).
And lastely, i flashed CWM through Uncle and made a Full Backup of the current rom.
For anyone who happens to play with a rooted C7 on stock rom and accidentally bricked it, i will provide my Stock and CWM Backup Recovery's for anyone to use.
note: If you already flashed a custom recovery onto your device (e.g; CWM), the stock backup becomes obsolete! Use CWM instead.

Model: Alcatel One Touch 7041x
Firmware: 4.2.2
Baseband: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V7
Kernel: 3.4.5
Build: 01003
Stock Recovery (Data) Backup (.backup):
- userdata_20100101_000117.backup (.rar / 83MB)
Place Stock Backup (Unpacked) into the root folder of your sdcard.
Reboot phone, Vol+&Power into stock recovery and select "restore user data" (or something alike) and select the .backup file.
New googledrive uploads:
-MIUI V5 (4.8.29) ROM (.zip)
-RootMaster / iRoot & SU (.apk)
-Uncle MTK Tools (.apk)
-CWM & TWRP Recovery (.img)
-Mobile Upgrade S (.exe)
-One Touch Center (.exe)
-USB Drivers (.rar)
-MTK DroidTools (Windows) (.zip)
-SP Flash Tools (.rar)
If you're familiar with flashing, i'd guess installing these files and how to use them propertly are self explainatory.
If not, you can ask me how to write a proper guide...

--UPDATE--
I provided a stock rom and a MiUI V5 rom for people who don't want or prefer to use backup's. A custom Recovery is needed and will not work with stock recovery.
This is a vanila stock rom without the custpack games/apps bloatware. IIRC this rom is already rooted, but if not, you can always use iROOT.
Bare in mind that it's based on the first TCT Firmware build 01001 and not the latest Firmware Upgrade 01003.
The MiUI V5 rom is based on miui 4.8.29 (Jellybean 4.2).
Also, the installers are in Spanish and you can only select a handfull system languages for both roms, but atleast you can use these roms in English.
Both roms work absolutely fine, and faster than stock with custpack bloatware.

Most roms need some time to settle, after 1 or 2 complete charges your battery should behave normally.
You can also use the 'Greenify' (Permit SU access) to blacklist any app that uses wakelocks or running backround processes.
This will save you some battery...
My best bet is going for the MiUiv5, which always ran fine when i used to own the C7. Never had any issues with that ROM other than a occasional 'SystemUi stopped working' when trying to use the Rom's OTA.

A bit late but that's because I don't own the C7 anymore and hardly pay attention to these threads anymore, I'm sorry...
I have no idea why it would'nt show up in CWM. I always use TWRP on any device that has it's compatibility over CWM, mainly because of it's touch functions and ext partitioning functions. Normally your internal storage is sdcard0 and your SD is sdcard1, select "mount/unmount" to see whether it's listed or not (I guess you already did that obviously but still....) It should be listed, if not, reflash CWM (try latest available for the tct/alcatel, i don't know which build number out top of my head, or TWRP.
I suggest to switch to TWRP and most likely your problem will be solved.
I don't know where you got your recovery files, but the ones I got in my googledrive are guaranteed working since I tried them both before uploading, if you used my CWM try to reflash it with MobileUncle MTK Tools, but than again pick TWRP instead .

I tried to use both the CWM and TWRP recoveries and neither worked. When it tries to boot into them it just glitches out the boot screen and resets. I flashed them with Flashify if that's a problem. My tablets model is a P310A. So this is the right thread for it right?
It does the same thing when I flash with Uncle MTK Tools.
Update: So it seems that you need to use this recovery if you have a P310A. Sorry for the pointless bump.

I'm sorry, somehow the file got removed from my gdrive. Since I don't own this particular device anymore, i cannot re-upload the file in question.
Also, i'm unable to edit the OP for some reason, so i understand any complains about the backup file(s).

Because this thread was the first one I completly read and looked at many time again, I post my results in short here.
Its posible to "flash" or "download" the KitKat rom from Hungary (or whereever the rom came from) onto a stock Alcatel OT POP C7 (7041X). Note the X, I have only that phone so, find another thread or user if you dont have a x (the kitkat rom is from/for a 7041D, so maybe your in luck too if you have the D version)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/alcatel-pop-c7/help/alcatel-one-touch-pop-c7-kitkat-twrp-t3438624 this other thread has the working rom, tools, and scatter file.
I could write a tutorial, but i based my carefull work on that thread and the links he provided. I also watched the youtube video even tho I dont understand a word thats being said.
Basicly NEVER EVER overwrite or format the phone completly or do sh1t with the preloader. mobile_info we leave alone aswell and we dont like to touch NVRAM aswell. They kinda contain imortant stuff
Basicly i made backups of everything I could or wanted (some thread said "Readback" the preloader can break alcatel phones, Ive succesfully read my whole phone back, but NEVER tried "downloading" or flashing preloader, cause i dont want a brick.) so I have everything saved and i could compare my files against any other rom that ppl uploaded.
KitKat rom from that thread I linked you to, get it, just all of it just in case. then if you compare them using CRC/SHA1 or MD5 against your dumps. hopefully like me, MBR, EBR1 and EBR2 are all the same compared to the kitkat one. so i took the liberty of not flashing them.
left us to do the: UBOOT(lk.bin in my backups), BOOTIMG, RECOVERY, SEC_RO, LOGO, CUSTPACK, ANDROID.
I noticed diferences in the logo, recovery and sec_ro, so I followed the tutorial/video on "downloading" those onto my phone... real simple...
I now have KitKat on my 7041x
Phone calls itself a 7041D now and Gyroscope sensor is not working
simple fix for the phone name is in the build.prop file, either google how to edit that (using root, or adb tricks) or do as I tricked, changed the file inside custpack.img using an hexeditor (HxD is my favorite). When you find a 7041D, replace with X. I suggest you use your brain and computer skills to deduce how to "replace" a character instead of inserting seems to start at offset 0x03356000 (http://www-ccpp.tcl-ta.com/files/ALCATEL_ONE_TOUCH_7041X_KK.xml does excist, so it suggest an official rom either was made or support added anyway).
I replaced budhapest with amsterdam and could change the dualsim to false and compensating the file size change by removing some 0x00 after the file.. but felt it was too risky and only tried the D into X wich was succesfull. ill check if I can find the AcceleroMeter/Gyro? module or fix.
If anyone has a question, sure ask me. but the rom is there, make backups before ANYTHING, and never full format or touch the preloader. ive read it might be able to fix using some Jtag method, but I cant remember the thread and this is quite the old phone by now. if ever, ill try a newer rom, but probably have to make it myself. another kitkat rom Ive found wasnt clean but this one was like it was a OTA, the phone migrated the 58 apps, and all my settings where still there, whatsapp worked right away without trouble and I can now play Pokemon GO (the x version has the 1gig ram )
Bedank @JMailuhu for making this thread and pointing and warning people. within 1 week of fixing this free phone Ive updated to kitkat. Now ill try fixing the accelerometer problem and maybe try other roms (ow well, kitkat does work fine) no root or custom recovery sofar
TLDR: Have a cookie, sorry I talk too much. much better than "ROM NOW" comments

Hey bros, Nexus 4 rooted by Kingroot, how can i do?

Hi everyone, how can I completely remove the root of Kingroot? I just bought a Nexus 4 from the second-hand market, but it has been rooted by Kingroot, but I tested it with a Root Checker, and it showed "sorry! root access is not properly installed on this device", what should I do now? I am planning to flash a new rom for it, can I root it again? Please give your advice, thank you very much!

Hello brother, I have seen the Divest OS that you introduced last time, but I still don’t understand some points. I would like to ask:
1. It said "resized /system is required" in the introduction, and the actual operation steps should be what to do?
2. After installing Divest OS, can I install other applications on it at will ? Such as: Facebook,Whatsapp.......
3. If it feels inappropriate, can I install another ROM freely?
Please forgive my ignorance, because I really don’t understand, especially for the first point, I have read the instructions on their official website and did not mention how to resize......but I still have to thank them for their support of Nexus 4 up to now

[Solved] Stuck in Bootloader

so i was trying to flash CherishOS so i followed the instruction and found some problem but i was managed to solve the problem. FYI, the rom gave the link to the custom recovery which is the PixelExperience one, since i'm coming from the stock latest rom so i flashed that. until i done everything and boot to system, and it just keeps returned to the bootloader no matter which option i choose (boot to system & recovery), but luckily the device is still detected in my computer
What i've tried :
- flash recovery (PixelExperience & TWRP)
- Followed this instruction
but none of that is working, one thing i found out while doing the 2nd method is that it shows some errors like "flashing is not allowed for critical partition" and "partition not found".
I have no clue what to do, i've tried whatever solution i could find and none are working. please help, thanks
edit:
I also tried the "fastboot flashing unlock_critical" and tried to reboot into fastbootd but failed and the fastboot shows all command list

[SM-T500] Need clarification / confirmation before flashing my first GSI

Hello,
I tweaked a lot of my Nexus 5 and Oneplus 3T but it's going to be the first time that I'll flash a GSI ROM.
For the moment, I just unlocked the bootloader and read threads during several hours
Odin is ready for a potential flash in a virtual machine (since my laptop is running GNU/Linux).
My current firmware: T500XXU3CVG4
CSC code: EUX
I downloaded the latest firmware via samloader (maybe useless): T500XXS4CVJ1. The 4 .tar.md5 files have been extracted: AP, BL, CSC and HOME_CSC (HOME_CSC is not necessary since I want to wipe my user data). I have no CP file.
The tablet is very slow so I hope that LineageOS 19 (or 18.1?) will help.
I downloaded: lineage-19.1-20221011-UNOFFICIAL-arm64_bgS-vndklite.img.xz (source) to install LOS 19 with GApps.
I have no external sdcard.
How can I flash this GSI build?
Should I install this TWRP version then follow these instructions?
Should I flash SM-T500-GSI-kernel.zip to fix unwanted reboots? Or is it specific to LineageOS 18.1?
Too much things to learn/read/understand since I purchased my Oneplus 3T lol
Any recommendations are welcome!
Thank you in advance for your kind help.

Why don't you have an SD card? You are saying your 500 is slow. You are using Odin an not Heimdall, so I'm assuming you aren't a CLI fan that would rather do things with fastboot instead of just flashing with TWRP. SD cards are dirt cheap. I recommend you get one, install TWRP, put the files you want to flash in it and flash with TWRP. Then you can move all of your data, such as movies, photos, music and downloads to the SD card and not lose them every time you need to wipe for a clean upgrade. This will also help speed up the tablet by increasing the available internal storage.

Why? Because I don't need it I have 2 phones so this tablet is used to have a bigger screen when searching stuff on the web with my wife or when cooking.
Actually I like CLI tools but I found few information about Heimdall to flash properly and a hard brick is not far away if I don't flash the good partitions.
Odin is used by many people and I have never touched a "modern" device with A/B partitions, GSI builds,... so...
I don't care wiping the data since I quickly backup/restore them through adb pull/push.
I have few documents on the tablet so moving files to an external storage wouldn't change anything. By the way I'm not convinced that moving pictures and movies to the external sd card would help.
Can I do what I said in the original post? Can I follow the instructions in the mentioned post? Is there a special kernel to flash for LineageOS 19?
Thanks for your support.
If other GNU/Linux users read this thread, here is how to get a .img from the .img.xz downloaded from Andy Yan's personal builds.
Sass:
sudo apt install xz-utils
unxz the_gsi_build.img.xz

To each his own. No, you don't NEED an SD card. I just feel they are so cheap that if I'm going to spend the time rooting and installing custom ROMs, which I've been doing with Samsung tablets for close to a decade, then why not add an SD card to make things a little easier. In all that time, in the dozens of installs and upgrades, the closest I've come to a hard brick is when I unintentionally flashed an AP without flashing the BL on a T510. The tablet would still boot, but only to the system. Couldn't get in recovery or download no matter what I tried. But at least the tablet was still usable. And, come to think of it, in all that time here in XDA, I've never heard of anyone else hard bricking a Samsung tablet by flashing. Sure, can't count the number of bootloop messages, and even the occasional time when it was necessary to let the tablets battery run down, but never a true hard brick that wasn't due to hardware failure.

OK. I'll try the above instructions to install the GSI build from the fastboot mode of TWRP.
