Hi, I'm new in this forum, and I don't speack English well, so I want to excuse me!
I have the new Touch HD, at the beginning I changed immediately the original ROM with a new one, I installed a lot of programs, and everything woked very well for two weeks, but then I had a big problems with battery...a the first the battery was very good, -10/15% per day, but suddenly after two weeks the battery lose 1% of its charge every 2/5 mintes...if I disconnect the power when the battery is 100%, after one hour without use (and also without wifi, BT and GPS), I have 70% of charge!
I try to change the ROM, a friend suggested me a new upgrade for Radio, but I didn't resolve my problem!
Now I buy a new battery online in htcstore, but if I put my mobile in "Fly mode" the battery work very very good!
I want to say that here normally I have the signal indicator with 2/3 nicks, so the signal is good!
Someone can help me?...someone have my same problem?
Thank you so much fo everything!
Greetings, Eddy
the battery will be used up quickly if your fone is constantly searching in and out for a 3g signal, regardless of 2g signal strength
have you got wifi on?
bluetooth?
a gps app running?
what other apps do you have running in background? some really poll the cpu a lot and will lead to battery drain
other than a dodgy battery, it must be some software running that is using up the battery
Thank you for aswering!
In background normally I have SMS o Contacs, but also if I close every programs in background the battery doesn't work well!
No, Bluetooth is OFF, GPS and WI-FI are OFF, I use telephone just with gsm!
Also when I write message, normally I write a message so long (3/4 messages), after wirting, the battery lost 10%, and I didn't have this problems at the biginning!
I left my mobile on also during the night, and in the morning I had again 100% of charge...now 100% it's a far dream!
try turning off the autoadjust for the screen and setting it at a medium setting, also make sure the backlight turns off after a minute or less.
its a huge screen and will burn up power, although saying that i watched a full length film on my HD the other day and only used 20% in 1.5hrs
if no progs are running in the background and its not a display issue (how have you checked whats running btw? need more than just WM taskmanager, try mem maid or similar) and the problem is not there when in flight mode. then i can only assume its the rom you are using, try another with a different radio rom in it
i found roms with 1.10 radio to be better than 1.09. try this rom (mulitlanguage) works good for me
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=465637
edit: have you got HDTweak installed? its good to configure the data to auto turnoff after 1 minute or so (even in gsm gprs could be running)
I tried to setup the new ROM but I didn't resolve the problem!
If I leave my mobile only with GSM on, without use it, without call and sms, the battery lost 2% in 30 minutes, and it's not normal!
If I use it, change settings, write message, the battery lose 5% in five minutes!
I don't know what I have to do...this mobilie now can't live without a power connection!
I want say also that at the beginning some application in my HTC wanted "HTCAPI.dll" because they didn't found into the mobile...so I found this dll online and I did copy/paste into the directory!
It can gave me problems with battery?....I don't know how it's possible, but I don't know!
Try to buy or borrow another HD battery and compare them. You should know the problem then.
Of course, I alredy bought it online, and I'm waiting to get the shipping!
But it's very strange that a battery stop to work suddenly, but I know that there are a lot of people who have my same problem!
If i were you, i would flash back the original rom and do a hard reset. Then, without installing anything on the device, see if the problem persists.
Thank you ardsar...I want to try....can you tell me, what I have to do to obtain the original product?...without hardspl and new rom?...like the first time that I turned on this HD! Thank you so much!
For example, I have your same SPL and ROM at the moment!
Hi Ardsar, I flashed my ROM and SPL (brand), and now my mobile is like the original but....do you know Teeter?...I played 2 minutes, I completed 3 levels, and from 85% the battery is now at 79%...
Hi guys...yesterday I did a lot ot tests, but without positive results, but I fund out new problems:
1)The bettery lose a lot of charge also if my Blackstone is offline, when I use it with TouchFLO, Teeter, SMS, Settings...everytime!
2)I have near to icon of signal, the simbol of GPRS, but sometimes it changes with the simbol H and with this new symbol, the signal falls and to resolve it, I have to wait a long ore reset the mobile.
Now I'm not sure that the "target" is the battery...I don't know, I changed also the Radio ROM with new last, but the problem is not over!
Before put it into garbage case, someone can suggest me something to try?
...I will never bring it to Assistence HTC, because I will have to wait some months, and I didn't pay 500€ to have it "under repairing"
Do you have SK Tools 4.4.6 or another battery monitor installed?
With SK Tools, you can see under the sys info the current battery use. My usage is in standby with lighted display -100mA. What's normal?
My battery is also very empty. Last evening i had 54%. This morning, the phone was off, no power any more.
No, now I will try this tool!
But I think that you also have problem with battery, becase the firsts days that I had my HD, I left my mobile on the whole night with 100% and in the morning I had 100%...I had 99% at lunch time! And a lot of friends that have this mobile have the battery so strong, like me at the beginning...so...I'm getting angry
i have this problem too. had my HD for 2 weeks coming to 3 now and my battery seems to deplect very fast, totally different when i had it. could be becoz of the wallpaper and 3rd party theme i had
For me, it seems it's a software or anything else that needs so much battery power, perhaps the hotfixes or something else.
Sadly, the whole battery monitor progs don't show the needed power per running process, only the current usage. Can anyone with a "good" battery life cann post his current usage? (For expample with SK Tools System Information/battery supply)
Is the backup battery always at 0%?
Battlog
How about this. You can log your activities and see how much battery current (discharge) each application is using by the ma figure. It produces a .log file but if you change it to .txt you can open it up in a text editor.
Hope it helps.
EDIT: Just found out there is better info on it here on XDA Raphael forum. Credits to PalladiumTD for this app.
Today I tried a new battery, and also with a good battery, I have the same problem...so I think that I have to send my mobile to HTC service and ask for a new one, because it can be an internal problem, maybe of motherboard, radio, or I don't know...but it's sure that is hardware problem!
Did you a hard reset and installed nothing else?
Yes, I did...I alredy unpacked it and monday I will send it to HTC service....I hope that they will sed me a new one....a friend said to me that maybe this problem for them is called DOA (dead on arrived) and in this case they have just to change it!I hope so!....but I don't like...!
I know that I can reset it pushing the volume control ecc.....someone knows it exactly?Thank you!
Hi all!
I just got a unlocked Galaxy S5 yesterday, and so i left my phone charging all night for a perfect first charge. This morning i removed him from charging and started to use him. And so after 2 minutes, the phone went from 100% to 99% almost right away! I got now to 90% with only 20 mins on screen time , i know it's not normal because i already a S5 some months ago and his battery life was perfect as much as my g2 was or even better. Do i have a defective battery or samsung apps running in background just eating up my battery? What you guys recommend me to do? What apps are known on this phone to be battery eater?
Best regards all.
We can't guess what's eating your battery, you'll need to look at the battery usage and/or install something like BetterBatteryStats to find out exactly what it is. Post screen shots for more help as well.
Keep GPS off, Sync off etc.
I keep everything on and I don't lose battery that fast.
I found some things over the web and i disabled samsung push service and link plataform and improved a lot my battery, it's not draining that fast anymore, i think it's normal now.
Now something stange is happening, everytime i check my battery it doesn't even show my screen usage and the top usage is android os... why is this happening? I've already hard reseted my phone and same thing goes.. what can i do? I have lots of samsung stuff disabled same as some google i dont use... should i replace my phone since it's still on the first 14 days??
Best regards all.

Hello!
I recently put a new battery into my Nexus 7 2012 3G. Before that I had roughly 17 hours of standby time (I did nothing with it, it just sat in my backpack while I'm at work), now it's exactly the same.
Now I know that in a case like this the battery has to go through a few charging cycles before everything works at 100% capacity but I did that. I put it in on Wednesday last week and I discharged and recharged it four times already without seeing any sort of improvement.
There is an issue with the wakelocks on the Nexus 7 as far as I remember. I did try different Kernels a few months ago but those didn't help and the tablet just sat on my shelf most of the time since then because it was pretty much useless to me because of the low batterylife. Right now it's running with stock ROM and Kernel.
Do you have any suggestions for me? Does the battery need more charging cycles? Are there any new Kernels or ROMs now that completely fix these issues? I really want to use this damn thing again, especially now that I spent 40 bucks on a new battery that I can't return because I threw away the old one! :good:
Thanks in advance!
Mathias
No ideas? You got some change? Come on, help a guy out!
Have you used any apps to try and hunt down any wakelocks? You may have a rogue app or service or something causing problems. Try GSAM battery monitor, it has a great detailed breakdown of this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm&hl=en .
17 hours of standby definitely sounds low to me. I'm currently running Dirty Unicorn v8.2 (final KK release) with the included kernel and could go for days on standby. I haven't run stock since the initial purchase of the device (almost 2 years ago now), so not sure about what's "normal" on stock, but that sounds low to me either way.
BTW i have a grouper not a tilapia, but that shouldn't make any difference.
Thanks I will try monitoring it with that!
Mine went on for days as well. But then, completely out of the blue and from one day to the next, the standby time went to ****.
I am pretty busy this week, but that just let's me monitor it properly for a few days while it sits on my bag. I will try flashing a different ROM and Kernel this weekend. Thanks!
I have _very_ good experiences with all kinds of SlimRoms. I have the grouper device, but with SlimBean (4.3) I had standby times for up to 10 days with wifi + sync on! My Samsung SIII has SlimBean on it and I have 3 days standby
When discussing battery issues, there's a huge difference between the wifi-only (Grouper) and wifi + 3G (Tilapia)versions of Nexus 7 2012.
I have a Tilapia, and battery life sucks. There's a bug in the OS, ever since day 1. Meaning that switching roms will have minimal effect.
Been there done that.
You should run some kind of battery monitor as PrizmaticSmoke suggested. I use BetterBatteryStats ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 ).
Running the monitor for a day or so, will most likely show that there's a constant wakelock named "baseband xmm power", chewing through your battery in about 24 hours.
Even putting the device in flight mode doesn't kill the wakelock.
I have resorted to manually selecting a 3G network and then removing the sim. I now have stand-by for about 5 days.
Tommmii, even after just 1 hour of monitoring it "baseband xmm power" is already at the top of the wakelocks that suck the battery dry.
I followed your suggestion of selecting a 3G network and removing the SIM card, but that didn't help me. I still lose about 7% during one hour of standby.
@Matttis
not to rub salt into your wound...I'm getting 0.6% / H, when the tablet is in deep sleep.
There is some good news from your monitoring, at least you know there's nothing wrong with the hardware.
The not-so-good part is that there isn't a 100% sure fix for that wakelock, all I have read point towards hit & miss solutions.
I am not willing to experiment with my own tablet, since that might bring back that pesky wakelock which has now been away for 2 months.
Are you actually using the 3G, or would you be a happy camper "downgrading" your Tilapia to a wifi-only Grouper, with the gain of normal batery-life ?
cheers,
Tom.
My boss recently gave me a SIM with a 5GB LTE plan, I might actually be better off if I just use the hotspot of my phone instead
So yeah, I'd be down with that! I do use the 3G feature, but if that means that I will get normal battery life again... You mean flashing the rom of a non-3G N7?

yup, that is the only thing I will experiment with.
Untill then, here is what i remember doing to get rid of the wakelock:
I was in another country with a prepaid burner sim.
I had manually selected the sim's network, in the hopes that this would alleviate the wakelock. It didn't help ofcourse.
I then forgot all about the previous, and travelled back home.
I then removed the foreign sim.
Wakelock gone.
Caveat : the tablet keeps reminding me that the burner sim's network isn't available... duh... I'm in another country AND the sim isn't inserted, yah I kinda figured the network won't be available.
So, what I think _might_ work : insert any sim, manually select that sim's network, disable data in the mobile network settings, eject the sim, power off, power on.
Then keep an eye on the wakelocks...
good luck.
I did exactly that. I manually selected the network, ejected the sim and now the tablet keeps reminding me that the network isn't available.
Still same issue, that didn't help me.
Is it even safely possible to install a rom for a different device? For example, could I just grab the Lollipop factory image for the N7 wifi version and flash that?

Also disable data in Mobile network settings.
Also reboot.
Then watch the wakelock for at least 30 mins, even an hour.

Possible, yes... I want to try it out when I have some time, if only to get that damn Lollipop, which is available for Grouper but not yet for Tilapia.

I went ahead and updated my tilapia to android 5.0.2 for grouper.
Wasn't easy, but it runs stable.
Unfortunately it didn't help with the baseband_xmm_power wakelock
So I took this a step further and did a "fastboot erase radio", I will repost if this helps with the battery drain.
update : no use. Reverted back to 4.4.4 KitKat, and did procedure as outlined a few posts earlier. Standby consumption is now kinda normal at 0.5% / H

I updated to LP 5.0.2 factory, and the wakelock hit me like a brick. What got it gone was Synman's GwT with carcosa kernel.
In fact it is the stock kernel that causes the wakelock, tried with Multirom(which uses patched stock kernel),and wakelock was back, using 7%/hour.
Flashing carcosa-a33-lp-anykernel removed the wakelock.

hi guys first of all i apologize for this post not having detailed info such as ss from BBS,GSAM and WLD and will post them later !!
and as always i guess with most battery related problems it happened suddenly and i really mean suddenly the day before yesterday everything was perfectly fine and i didn't have that ridiculous battery drain !!
i woke up yesterday only to find out that Android OS is taking more than 50% of battery usage with a drain like 20% over night
restarted many times and by the end of the day i installed GSAM and WLD (wakelock detector)
froze most of apps including the ones i installed recently but i didn't install that battery hog apps (nothing unusual) and also they didn't appear in partial wakelocks section of BBS
btw i don't use any fake battery extender tools or memory boosters it's just Greenify
i observed that sometimes when i unlock my device (i use knock code btw if that matter!!) wifi gets disconnected and reconnect again (wifi icon disappear and re-appear again in 3 secs or so)
i'll upload ss in a couple of mins
thank you
Edit: SS Added
and notice how it drained 5% in just 40 mins (20 mins SOT) !!!

Hello,
I have at 80% the same problem, I loose 7-10% of battery per hours, without SIM, wifi, bluetooth...
I already tried most of all roms, kernel, try all cpu governor.
If you want to see my topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/lg-g2-d802-battery-draining-5-0-2-t3256313/
If you are ready to dismantlle the phone, do it, and see if there is a problem inside. I hope you will resolve your problem and tell me if one day you gonna have a better battery

I had the same problem with battery drain(although not as severe) along with huge data consumption when using a significantly modified(i.e. heavy debloat and ota disabled) rooted stock rom. I tried a few customs roms and dorimanx kernel(not at the same time), and even though battery drain wasn't as bad, they were are waaaay to buggy to be used everyday(especially the dorimanx kernel, it's really bad).
Just last week I tot back to KK and ota updated to the latest LP rom(lost root unfortunately). Then I uninstalled/disabled every app I could/needed. Everything is very fast, smooth, and stable again. I now lose 1-2% every 8hrs in standby with syncing and wifi/data enabled, bluetooth and nfc disabled. I regularly get 5-6hrs sot over 48hrs with moderate use and brightness on auto.
I do have a new battery though - my old one( came with my "refurbished" phone from freedompop) gave me 2-3hrs of sot - but that was when I first got it and before I started modifying anything.

How is dorimanx kernel bad? How many user downloads he has, lots and lots then are we thousands of user wrong using a bad kernel, come on . Maybe it didnt work for you. But out of those thousands of users cant be wrong. If it was that bad no one would download. Just saying , you should just say it didnt work for you.

Can you tell us what app have you uninstalled and disable ?
What have you debloat ?
Thank you very much
My G2 (vs980) has also been suffering from a sudden battery drain. Android OS and Android System seem to be the problem. They are now second and third on the list of battery usage, after the screen. Before now, they were never that high on the list. I noticed this last weekend, when I kdz to the latest update for the vs980, which is 3AA. After noticing this, I flashed the xceed kernel, then cloudy with dorimanx kernel, and the battery drain continued. I even kdz back to kitkat, still the same, then I flashed AICP 11, and still the same battery drain by Android OS and system. Finally, I restored a backup of stock lollipop 39A but, the issue continued so I turned on airplane mode and it seems to help a bit. I still notice battery life isn't the same as before. The os and system still drain more than usual even on airplane mode.
Kind of glad to hear I'm not the only one with this issue. I don't think I need a new battery, since I bought the phone new in April 2015 from Bestbuy.
Also Gsam, shows the temperature of phone between 80°-90°F, where before it would be in the low to mid 70s. One time, it even got up to 104°F, funny thing is, it doesn't even feel that hot in my hand.
Hopefully, we can find out what's causing this because I really liked the battery life on this phone. Even when people complained about the battery life being worse on 5.0.2, I was pretty happy with it. All my previous phones can't compare to the g2. Now I feel like upgrading though lol.

When I tried the version that was out a month or two ago it wasn't nearly as smooth as stock, even after conservatively messing with the kernel app settings. The worst was that it also cut out tethering and my flashlight when the screen shut off. Maybe the recent updates have fixed some of the issues, but I doubt it. Could be that he doesn't have access to the sprint variant which I have...
Either way, just because 'thousands' of people use it doesn't necessarily mean that it's good - 99.9% of those users have no idea how to code or how a kernel is written. Their knowledge goes as far as following picture guides online - which a 5 years old could do. Just look at the most recent change log - those 'fixes' were to glaringly huge problems that shouldn't have been made in the first place and people were blissfully using it the whole time. Think about how many thousands of other bugs their must be. Not to mention hacking up code made by professionals at huge companies could lead to many other problems. Obliviously the stock kernel has bugs as well, but it works and is fast and stable so I see no need for using a hacked together kernel made by one amateur that doesn't even have my version of the phone to test it on. I wanted it to be good - which Is why I went to the trouble of installing it, but it's definitely NOT.

I uninstalled ALL of the stock apps that can be uninstalled. The ones I disabled are aosp keyboard, app updates, browser, calendar, cloud print, favorite contact widget, google play books, games, movies & tv, newstand, google+, lg voice command speech pack, music, music(the widget - it always runs in the background even without being on the homescreen), notebook, polaris viewer, quicktranslator, swype, talkback, voice command. I would have liked to disable a few more but I'm not rooted so I couldn't.
I use nearly all of the google products like chrome, gmail, calendar, docs, keep, music, photos, news and weather,translate,etc...so having the stock lg ones enabled was redundant. I also only have the bare minimum of installed apps that I need. Nearly all of them are made my major corporations i.e Chase, BofA, ebay, paypal, freedompop, microsoft, swiftkey etc. I have NO games or any small apps that need a ton of permissions. The only small apps are feedly, print hammermill, privacy flashlight(240kb, no ads, no permissions) and bubble level(180kb, no ads, no permissions).
I also go through every settings in every app to make sure it's what I want. And I restart my phone every time I take it off the charger. IMO having a clean and no frills system that is set correctly is the key to performance and battery life.
I just want want to clarify that I average 4-5hrs per 1% in standby since it doesn't seem to hold as well as it gets closer to 0%.
theres this app that have lots of info on battery..
thx guys for adding your experience
i hoped moded kernels would've reduced that amount as they should have necessary drivers for wifi which was somehow got messed up but from your reply i guess i've to look somewhere else
idk how to put this, well this isn't a solution at all i actually didn't start working on it yet just thought to share what i found so far !!
so it's just a reference for any one whose luck was bad enough to have a wakelock like that !
1st of all in most cases neither the device nor it's battery are at fault *you need to understand that*
faulty battery doesn't show up kernel related wakelocks instead they drain without a reason so i hope ppl stop accusing battery in every battery drain thread!
2nd after understanding that you'll have to deal with the environment your phone is used in
to put it simple it's your router and all devices in your current network !! (idk though why not all devices get affected by that or why it just started now, tough luck yea)
those threads may help

http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/getting-rid-wlanrxwake-wakelocks-t2519294
what i'll try to do is add an old access point to my router and connect my phone to it as i don't have a replacement router right now!!
i'll let you know if things were improved !
hey guys
i thought to share what i did so far and before i go on there is a bad news and a good news !!
i would start with the bad news first !
-no rom could solve this issue so you don't really need to format everything and start from scratch especially if you didn't mess around too much and you found it started suddenly like here, i've tried couple of roms including latest CM13 build it wasn't that bad but it didn't solve the drain that much either !!
-now some ppl may see this bad and some may don't care (which means good!!) google services are the ones responsible for this drain
well man you didn't come up with anything new and i see you've got a problem getting straight to the point besides you talk too much
i'm sorry
now you have to sacrifice your google services background sync including "GCM" if you are using any services similar to pushbullet or notification mirroring you'd understand why it's important
anyway if you are good with that you may install and yea it works with latest google play services
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playfulgeeks.gservicefix
and do as instructions (and believe it'll work if you did steps right)
if you prefer manual way then you'll need "app ops xposed module" and deactivate every "wake up" permission from google services
this guide may help but remember we don't have tools natively in our roms so don't bother downloading "shortcut maker" and go through your settings app to find "privacy guard" or "app ops" we don't have those natively like them
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-google-play-services-battery-t2832525
i'll share some ss from stock battery stats
i'm sorry for my long post and i hope it'll help someone with same issue
idk if it solved issue completely but things are stabilized a lot now and i just lost 1% over night not 20% or 30% like before !!
and i'm using lollipop now so i guess it's not that bad for what i heard about bad lollipop battery since it's my first time trying it !!
and btw real SOT should be +40 mins so the real SOT is 2H-47M cuz i restarted my phone to apply that fix and for some reason battery stats doesn't stick between reboots !!
if anyone interested in trying that rom it's for D800 only btw and thx to @Swetnes for his work rom feels pretty stable and solid :good:

good luck everyone
It has good looking, interchangeable strap, sim card, 2gb ram, 16gb storage, 420 battery ... I need to know if anyone has it and could give opinion ...
opinions?

No, absolutely not. Unless you can relocate all the antennas which are in the strap.
I have it in front of me now. I promise you that this is not an option

Thanks Pablo, I was already surprised by the antenna issue. However, in many reviews was made that the belt could be changed, a shame.
How is the battery carried ?, better than No.1 D5 +?
Greetings.

Yes, battery is actually very good considering it has 2g ram. Lasts very well. I work as a consultant for the firmware makers and we have worked hard to make this a good software solution.

Have you participated in the firmware of this smartwatch? What material is the belt? I had a NO.1 D5 + but the leather strap was damaged very soon ...

Believe what you want.
But the straps cannot be changed without removing the antennas from inside them.
Cheers..

Thanks for the report, your experience is that this smartwatch is nothing exceptional or different from any other smartwatch. With a sim card, imagine what it would cost to get to the end of the day?
Thank you friend for sharing your experience.
What about GPS accuracy? I have read that is very poor, worst than others similar smartwatches. This is an important point to check for me. Thanks a lot.

Smartwatch seems work well but i have see many little bug, i pretty satisfied but i hope the vendor take care of this watch and release update very sooner, someone know something for that???
i have pebble time and use it everyday.
can allcall w1 replace pebble?
i am worried about whether to buy.
App reminder doesnt work properly.
Baatery is so bad while using Wifi,GPS.
Im disappointed at allcall w1.
I've tested my smartwatch twice to go to run. I used "sport tracker" and all was ok until I arrived at home and left the device over the table. The watch started to sound and said that battery was very hot the two days. And after restart the watch there were two times more that it was very hot again. I have AllCall_V1.3_B_20171017 compilation version. What can I do to solve it?
Regards

All you have to do is throw it away, bro
Hi Guys.. I recently saw this on Ali express and it got my attention.
My primary use of this is going to be as a watch and fitness tracker while gymming. What's the weight like?
I don't want to use this for calls or any other notification.
Would you suggest this or some other watch?
I Like this because it's round and looks much like an ordinary watch instead of a smart watch.
Please suggest,
Thank you
