Hello all.
I have a problem with Wear OS 2 on watches with a loudspeaker.
The problem is that watches without a loudspeaker, eg LG Watch Style, communicate with the phone via bluetooth, but not as a headset. So in such a watch the bluetooth headset connected to the phone works properly. The problem appears in watches with a loudspeaker, for example: LG Watch Urbane 2, because they communicate with the phone as a bluetooth headset, so I can not call the watch with "ok google, call ..." and have a conversation on a bluetooth headset connected to the phone. If I turn off the "use as speaker .." function on the watch, I lose the ability to call from the watch.
I will add that there is no "sharing" function in my country.
The question is whether there is a possibility (root, mod, etc.) for watches with a built-in speaker to communicate in the same way as watches without a loudspeaker? Or disable speaker?
I can even pay for such a modification for LG Watch Urbane 2.

I paired the head set both as a wireless stereo and as hand free and it works good except 1 thing:
while I press the button on the headset to make a voice call with voice tag (which works perfectly for me with others simple headsets) ,I can't hear the beep telling me to say the tag and also i can't hear the confirmation of the tag I said.
The system IS working and the phone dials what I said, but i can't confirm while the pda is not in front of me
If I disable the "wireless stereo", I can hear the beep and the confirmation.
Does anyone know someting ?
Besides this the sound of the headset is amazing
Voicecall
Yes, I experienced the same thing with my WE-COM (cheap ) stereo bluetooth headset. If i want to make the headset activate the voicecall i have to first turn off the wireless stereo in the bluetooth connection screen. So, i leave the wireless stereo turned off most of the time. Only when i want to sit back and enjoy wireless stereo music or watch a movie using bluetooth, i turn on the wireless stereo.
I wish it can be automatic but i can't find any other ways other than manually turning the wireless stereo off and on acording to my needs.
Since my bluetooth is inexpensive, I am happy that both the wireless function and the phone function works. The shop person who sold me the bluetooth didn't know how to get the phone function of the headset to work with my u1000 at first. I had to fiddle with the pairing and setting up for quite a while at his shop. Suddenly it hit me that the pda was confused about the headset having 2 different functions and it doesn't know how to automatically switch between the 2 functions by itself. So i just have to use the bluetooth setup screen to command the pda to respond to just one of the function at a time. And it worked! So i bought the headset. And the shop was happy to make his sale.
Hello.
I have bought my new Galaxy S4 and I have some problems using it in my car.
My car is Audi A4 equipped with MMI 2G, vocal commands and bluetooth hands free.
If I connect my phone with my car, all is ok (calling and receiving calls, phonebook transfer and I can still use my car's vocal commands.
I am not able to use S-Voice Drive.
If I start car mode on the phone, s-drive automatically fire up when bluetooth connected but it still use my phone mic and speaker.
How can I solve? Someone has the same car/system?
My system does not support A2DP....
Thank you.
Chris
Are you sure your expectations are right? I have S4 and MMI 3G and S-Voice doesn't transfer to the car speakers. It didn't occur to me that it might/should, all I expected was hands-free function for phone calls and the ability to dial from the car's MMI interface system.
The Bluetooth profile in the pairing settings on the phone is "call audio" only. There is no "media audio" so I'm guessing the only function supported is to handle the phone audio.
Have you seen something suggesting that audio output other than calls should transfer via bluetooth to the car speakers?

No, nothing, but I would like to have it to the car speakers and mic.
I tried a different bluetooth mono router software but no luck.
I hope someone has solved this with some kind of thirdy party software...
I'm not a techie, but I am guessing that the functionality is limited by the bluetooth profiles supported by the paired devices. If Audi have loaded only the call audio in the MMI software then that is all the car can do.
It looks like you can get after-market A2DP hardware installations (this is a MMI 3G solution, for example). That might enable audio streaming from your phone via Bluetooth, but whether S-Voice would stream also I'm not sure. If I'm honest, I doubt it is possible.
I am experiencing same issue and weird thing is that if I connect IPhone 4S and run Google Navigation I hear navigation instructions in car's speakers but with Galaxy S4 I can't get it to work for navigation instructions.
Hello,
I have a u8 smart watch. And pair with my phone.
My problem is this:
When a call arrives, my phone and watch is ringing. And i answer call on my watch, i talk on the watch. Also i answer on the phone, it always send sound and mic. To the watch.
Now, is there a way that selecting active device for speaking on it.
Ios do it like i told. If you answer on the watch you speak on the watch, and ıf you answer on the phone you speak on the phone.
Is there a way for control speaking device (watch or phone).
Thank you...
If I recall, the u8 connects as a media device only, and requires phone audio or call audio to be routed, or it disconnects? If so, then no, I don't think you can manage that.
You do it on the phone. Select anything but Bluetooth.
Maybe you can try a program like automateit to disable BT on incoming calls until hangup.
I'd certainly buy the watch that has an "answer on phone" button on the incoming call screen. I believe it's one of the standard Bluetooth headset commands so why don't they use it?
I partially solved the problem with tasker. I scheduled a task that sets bt off when call screen. Thank you anyway my friends.
Hi all,
I got a Huawei Smart Watch a few weeks ago.
For some reason when it's connected to the Nexus 6P with Bluetooth Audio switched on in the Watch, it won't connect to the Car's Bluetooth when the car is switched on.
Is anyone having this same issue? is there anyway of fixing it apart from turning off the Bluetooth Audio function on the watch?
Surely the phone could priorities the Car's Bluetooth. I don't seem to see this issue with either other watches or phones.
Im not sure if the device has a way to set priority of BT items but IIRC, you can only connect one type of BT device at a time. I have a Samsung gear Live watch which runs android wear. it stays connected all of the time and I can still connect to my truck BT radio. But you cannot connect headphones and a speaker to BT at the same time. just dont work that way.
Hi hello guys how are you. So i have th essential phone and the gear s3 frontier. When the watch is paired to the phone whenever i receive or make a phone call even using the phones dialer. I would get no sound at all. The other person cant hear me either. I noticed that even if i pick up a call with the phone it would automatically switch to the watch. I think it might be a glitch thinking is more like a radio Bluetooth. So even if i switch to the phone or speaker. No audio at all. If i turn off the Bluetooth everything is back to normal. Any suggestions. I would like to keep on using my watch. Sometimes im not near my phone and would like to talk through the watch. If i go into the Bluetooth settings i can toggle the option for voice calls. I would get the notification when receiving a call but on the watch i cant only decline now.
You have to go in BT settings and set the watch not to be used for phone audio
no audio when answering an incoming call, while paired with a smartwatch
hi,
I'm experiencing the same thing, but I would use another title for the bug (see above).
The answer in post #2 is helping me to get audio when answering a phone call, BUT I can't use my smartwatch (Gear S3) for making calls or answering calls anymore.
So when I disable the "phone audio" in the smartwatch Bluetooth connection profile, the phone sends the audio to the earpiece, as no audio Bluetooth device is connected --> audio is available when answering the call.
But as I want to use my smartwatch for making and answering calls, I'd like to get a solution for this.
Side note: there is no audio on both ends. I can't hear the other end and the other end can't hear me. And the "no audio" thing is only present for the first 10 seconds of a call. After that the audio starts to work on both ends via phone (when watch is connected as BT audio device).
