Following the issues with SGN I read the following thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850978) which contained information that wasn't talked about and I happened to experience them very recently. The thread also highlighted issues with the warranty program where the OP was actually worst off due to the damage the engineers introduced.
It is now two weeks that I have been left without a phone and service. I intend to take my carrier to court if they don't give me a brand new Note and if the problems persisted with the new phone then I would take Samsung to court. The carries and manufactures are ripping Android users off because there isn't enough publicity and a large paid and unpaid employees of these corporates are active in XDA Forums.
@oka1
A thread on a given subject would become too big for anyone to follow after a few weeks. As important as SGN issues with screen quality and defective eMMC chip we need more voices to highlight how bad Samsung has been. Closing a thread like that may suggest Samsung's interests were being protected instead. Thank you.
And again you should read more before sending your phone to service... There's some work around for that issue... And I'm reporting this thread..

I'm not sure what you meant by your reply. I have followed my carrier's advise. I have a proof that the condition of my handset was excellent but the replaced phone that was sent to me its back cover was also both scratched and damaged. Three were no attempts to repair my phone but to replace it with a refurbished phone which didn't come with Samsung Box either.

Right, I see. I haven't posted a question and was not seeking a solution rather than expressing my opinion on the highlighted issues. Also, this thread was started in General forum which is suitable for general discussions.
Thousands of posts about eMMC bug which I believe you have been participating in are not stressful but my thread is? I'm still not sure of your intentions.
The thread you pointed to was closed for a simple reason, (one of the more common reasons here at XDA).. it was a duplicate thread...there were (are) already plenty of thrreads on the identical topic..and so a simple search will get anybody the information they need.
Closing a thread for such a reason is commonplace and not a rationale for conspiracy theorists to come out of the woodwork and neither is it a reason for insinuations as to the ethical character of the moderators.

I have already provided at least two valid reasons in my OP as to why I didn't agree with the thread closure.
In the following thread that was actually started by 'msedek' about eMMC bug I participated and it was because of his thread that I finally decided to send my phone for the service. If others suggesting I'm here for any other reasons than I claim maybe they should do a check before coming up with accusations. I have already posted in the following thread that my phone was sent out for the repair.

Do not post a Rant.............. The previous Thread was closed because virtually everything has been discussed before in other threads
Starting another thread will cause people to just begin to flame you for the same reason..... duplicating a thread. Your reasons are not that far off form the other previous thread discussions......
DO NOT OPEN ANOTHER........... THREAD CLOSED......

This is the official Discussion thread for DiXperia Mystery by DikeJ.
This is the first Community Driven Rom >>> You as part of our X10 community will decide what is inside of DiXperia Mystery!
You may know that DiXeria Mystery will be the last of DikeJs current ROM Series, but we need this thread now to start collecting info about your ideas, suggestions and whatever you may tell us.
Here you can post:
+ Suggestions and Ideas what you want inside DiXperia Mystery
+ unecessary spam (you don´t have to )
+ any feedback is welcome
Please be sure that we will read every post here and take it into consideration, even if we do not answer directly.
Let's keep the thing clean this time!

2 idea's
1: How about Auto-brightness.
Since the 2nd generation Gingerbread-ROM (every ROM past Trip, WolfBreak etc.) this feature is gone.
Feravolt put it back in, but not as complete as the older ROMs; and i can't see it working on my hardware.
I once read soem post by Scritch007 that it had something to do with lib's.
It would be a great feature and a great battery saver.
2: On XDA front page there is an app that dynamically show your navigation bar.
Don't know if i would use it, but the idea that the navbar can be more intelligent sounds good!
For that matter: i also like the app WaveLauncher. Too bad it cannot be a complete launcher-replacemant.
---------- Post added at 12:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:41 PM ----------
I think we should be able to ditch the lockscreen. It's a useless thing.
I'll describe a setup that i use on every ROM of Feralab.
Disable the lockscreen (CM feature)
Remove the lockscreen files (free up RAM - UPNextlock.apk is pretty big))
Remove the home-button unlock possibility (like Feravolt). This is not possible on DX/10 yet. I hope it will be possible.
Why?
To me the lockscreen is useless (and thus is wasting RAM).
Right now you need to press a button and you see your lock screen. Next: you need to swipe it away to show your home screen.
It can show the same stuff (if not more) as a lockscreen. And: I need less action to open an app.
IMHO the lock screen and home screen are 'double'.
In my pocket the device won't wake by pressing home button. So it's save to use.
Together with WaveLauncher (see earlier post) you can create a whole new look and feel which can improve usablity.
Just think it trough:
some ideas
1. transparent nav bar.(like the new 4.2 for xperia z. it's transparent when on launcher.)
2. adding dualshock 3 support(i dont know if it can be useful, but sounds cool :good: )
3. xperia z style expanded status bar(like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2157209 )
4. custmizable settings background(or other system apps like xperia clock, etc.)
5. lockscreen rotation enabled
just these..maybe i'll add some more in the future
I had in my crazy brain more the idea of something completely new and unseen on X10.
As I have a new phone now, I only use my X10 to test (or I would do so if it worked). I could imagine that many people are in similar situations.
So my idea is to create a mediaplayer Rom, where we can free up Ram by e.g. removing all phone features and cut baseband to only wifi (is that possible?).
Disabling the lockscreen also seems awsome to me.
What do you think?

All your ideas guys are very good, I'm still collecting those things and in the future will think if something is possible, or not .
I think we should then make a poll.

Then of course we will . But this project will be last, I need complete DX3 for Play (nearly end), then make two Premium ROMs (Perennial for Play and Gaming 2 for X10), then just Energizer for Play and we have mysterious Mystery .
My wish:
A theme, just like Sony's latest releases... Should feel like using latest xperia model like z(I mean LOOKS)
And there is a issue with the messageing app... Will understand after I upload a screenshot... Just a cosmetic problem with viewing numbers from received messages
This problem is with all x10 roms...

Guys, I thought this would reveive more attention...
In every Rom thread you complain and wish this feature and that feature added....now you can do exactly this and (even better) it may be recognized and put into the rom.
No Dev I knew did this and I wouldnt do it either but I would have expected that this gets the most busy thread in the whole forum... amd now what? we have two good ideas and one extremely brutally awsome
You should really try to take that chance

Exactly. This ROM will be delayed or canceled, if me and Kai won't get enough ideas. We need main and basic info first, then some cool features. Also, we will need more more more help by your side, as I will need people, this is hard project, but has awesome potential in my opinion .
Nearly two weeks without any reply - I bring bad news then. DX Mystery Project is canceled, as not much ideas comes here so I still didn't know how this ROM look like. Sorry for all, and thanks for those guys who already wrote even one post here with at least one idea .
Mods, you can delete this thread.
I was on holiday. Too bad, and i don't understand the community; Most ppl always ask so much from dev's. And now they're silent? Thank you, DikeJ and Kai, for trying this! Too bad it ends like this.

I dont know 100%, but I think it will be a Galaxy S3/4 or a Xperia Z/ZR. But my mobile carrier will present their new program next Monday, so also hope they will bring a good offer for me.
I wont leave the forum now, but I will do soon. And it also takes its time to tell my succesor all the things he has to know. So I opened this theard now.

Seems like not many people seem interested in this, so I will offer my hand for help.
My reason, why I want to be your successor, is that I wish to continue to share all your efforts to every user of this section on xda-developers. My intention is to make all the information available and make sure it is up to date.
I have received a lot of experience and knowledge of 2011 Xperia smartphones by reading guides/topics, trying out myself and later on guiding others. Now that I am very familiar with that, I wish to keep on giving out a helping hand to every user in this section. Since the first day I bought myself a Xperia smartphone, I have never wanted to have a different one, because Xperia devices are the only smartphones, that I feel comfortable with and have become used to. Even if one day I would buy another smartphone, I would still continue being an active member here, because xda-developers is just an awesome community.
I have been an active member on xda-developers forum since 2nd February 2012, starting out in Live with Walkman, Xperia Mini (Pro) and Active device forum. In July 2012, I started to be active also in Xperia Arc section, as I had just bought myself that smartphone. Currently, I check 'Xperia Arc' and 'Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active, Ray, Live with Walkman' devices forums on (almost) daily basis, answering questions, providing help, reading about new developments and achievements. I have not received any punishments from xda-developers Administration Team and I always follow the rules of xda-developers.
Lately, I have made 2 topics, which have been marked sticky by xda-developers moderator(s). One of them is to remind to all ROM and kernel developers of the GPL license, that should be followed. The other one consists information about the best and/or fastest ROMs.
I have created a basic tutorial on 'Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active, Ray, Live with Walkman' devices forum. The same topic also includes stock firmwares for most 2011 Xperia devices. Link to the topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792
Rest of my work can be found in my signature below.
(I may update this more before the deadline.)
Hi
I really thank Someguyfromhell!
Since I´m on vacuation till Aug 31, i will set the new deadline at this time. This is the absolutely last deadline, if nobody else is coming forward, Someguyfromhell will get it. I will not move the deadline any further.
People like Someguyfromhell are exactly these I ment.
Thank you!

Google Nexus 5. I loved my Arc so much that replacing it was a pain. For a short while I considered The Glaxy 4 Mini but it was too ugly. I t had the right specs and the right size though.
Nexus 5 have the righter specs but the wronger size. And it is not ugly.
Hi
I'm planning on buying a LG g2, but I'm hesitating because the nexus5 seems like a good choice too, but there's the battery issue, I wanna know has the drain that was reported numerous times been solved?

This topic had completely different subject.
My point remaining, if you want to know information about G2, ask in G2 forum. If you want to learn about Nexus 5, visit Nexus 5 forum.
Haha, after posting I noticed, was it for the baseband-thing? Sorry for this utter stupidity

Hi, is it true that the unlock code supplied from puman.ru only works for 14 days?
You would be better off reading the experiences of those in the thread at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45908977 and asking there rather than start a new thread that might duplicate the info and make it harder to get an answer. The search function is also useful!

welcome )
First of all, let me just say that you guys rock.
I've been coming here a loooooong time for any and all of my cell needs.
I rarely have to post, and so I rarely do. If you ask a question that has been answered already somewhere on the forum, someone is always ready and willing to point it out and make you feel .... well....inadequate.
So I do a LOT of research before I decide to pipe in.
I have a Samsung S7 (Sprint) SM-G930P with Nougat 7.0 installed on it. I bought it at the flea market this passed weekend for $15. Hell of a deal I thought. He told me it was FRP locked. That was why so cheap. But I said, XDA has all the answers, this is no problem.
There is a problem.
I have looked and looked here, and on google, and youtube.... no one seems to want to address the issue of not being able to enable USB Debugging while FRP locked. Or if they have, I have missed it (and someone will more than likely point out that fact!)... Lol!
How in the hell do I downgrade to 6.0, flash anything period or access ANYTHING via Odin without my PC being able to connect or see this phone? I can't use RealTerm either so no help there.....
Anyone??

FRP lock is a security feature that prevents a lost or stolen phone from booting. It is there to protect the phone and original owners information and make the phone unusable to anyone after. I'm pretty sure XDA doesn't allow such talk since we would be helping you get into a possibly stolen phone. There are solutions, XDA just isnt the best option to discuss stuff like this
If someone wants to ask questions who are you to judge someone who asks questions. We are all here to learn. Prove that he is shady and trying to do illegal activities before you start bashing someone

Xda is the place to learn everything about rooting and removing security features. That's what development is about. We bypass security features so the phone makers can know which ways to secure their software. This is what development is. If you are a bully on here then you should be banned
