Hi guys,
I got a p7500 yesterday with my s3 and the seals were broken on the box, I thought nothing of this as it worked fine and acted as new.
I used it fine all day and today plugged it into kies and it prompted a firmware update.
Being so stranger to this (I had an original Tab and the s2) I started the process.
It all worked ok but hung at 9% for over an hour and then turned off.
Turning it back on I had to preform a full reset using the boot menu as kies would not recover the firmware.
Now it is stuck in a boot loop, or when it does load in it is slow and crashes and get stuck int he loop again.
Plugging into kies does nothing now as it say the device cannot be updated through kies.
I am at a total loss, I was loing the thing and should have left alone really but lesson learnt.
Is it totally bricked or is there some hope?
Thanks in advance for any help given, I could not find a topic with my exact issue.
Try an Odin update. Grab the firmware from sammobile.com and put the tablet into download mode

Thanks for the reply.
Any firmware in particular? or just the newest? I downloaded odin when it happened but have not tried it yet.
EDIT tried to update to PDA: P7500XWKL1 ## CSC: P7500XEUKL1 and it has hung at about 9% again
Got it back into recovery mode and into the os but it now will not auto rotate
What did it (odin) stop on?
You could try flashing clockworkmod then try flashing a (custom) rom through recovery.
tutorial for rooting, but you first have to flash cwm 5o root so you can use just that bit of the tutorial 5o flash cwm then pick a custom rom in the development section and try flashing it. I'm on ics-aokp build 37 but you might want to try out a HC rom first, I hear good things about task 14 though i have never tried it (nor have i tried any other HC rom, I wrnt from stock to ICS)

Thanks for the help everyone back to fun with the SIII and the 10.1
I was with the Rom "ussrv8" until then.
However, he left an update of your kernel, so I installed the updated kernel
After installing, the device usually called, functioned normally for a few minutes .. Approximately 40 .. But, out of nowhere he hung up, and now just restarts endlessly
I can not go into recovery mode, and also not to get into the download mode, as the unit is not restarting.
But once I managed to get into download mode, I managed to install the stock ROM, but the problem remains ..
Oh and when you turn the image no longer appears "Galaxy y GT-S5360"
Aperece a message in blue saying "Logo _LTN_B.jpg 'draw failed
PLEASE HELP ME OUT ! I'M DESPERATE !

try odin once again..
I think.it will help
rooting is new for me...and i am noob to root...
Download a new firmware by Doky then try to reflashing it again.
But i think some of our dev/friends here in XDA were gonna help you
or if not contact Samsung Care Center.
Try with Odin once more but this time include totoro file(along with PDA,MODEM nd CSC)-maybe this will work.
I was using totoro before with no problem-in ur case this could be the right thing
Good luck man !!!!:good:
NEVER include PIT file or tick repartition. Just make sure you are flashing the right way. Make sure you have all the drivers required. Download the latest regional firmware from doky73's thread and follow the instructions there.

hi all.. im a beginner at installing custom roms.. i own a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500.. a few days ago, i updated it to CyanogenMod c-11 (kitkat 4.4.4 based) ROM, then to CyanogenMod c-12 (lollipop based) ROM, so try out its new features.. however, since yesterday, my phone is not booting up.. neither is it able to go into recovery mode.. (the boot logo displays endless).. i can only go into the download mode..
so i downloaded ODIN.. and tried flashing I9500XXUFNI2_I9500ODDFNI1_INS.zip onto it.. however, no matter what i do (removing battery, restarting PC, restarting ODIN), i cannot go past the "initialization" step.. no matter which ROM i try, it never goes past the "initialization" step.. please help..

according to instructions in different online threads, im putting this .tar.md5 in the PDA/AP slot..

Change USB cable/port, other pc or close Kies 3 on the task bar.
It sounds more like a hardware failure.

Ive already tried changing USB ports.. I dont have Kies installed in the first place.. I'll try repeating the procedure on a different system though..
i certainly hope it is not a hardware failure.. i literally slept with the phone on charge and woke up to a dead phone.. the phone boots up into the bootloop.. the recovery mode ends in the bootloop as well.. only the download mode ends up in the correct "downloading.. do no turn off target" screen.. and odin detects the phone just fine.. but upgrading any firmware via odin gets stuck on the "initialization" step.. i can answer more questions if required.. at this point i dont care which ROM works for my phone.. or if i lose data.. i just wanna revive my phone..

Bro's, gotta start somewhere, right!
The fact that you're phones are boot looping is actually a good sign - it means that they're not totally useless but salvageable.
Question: Are you able to boot into your custom recoveries, e.g. TWRP? If yes, please reply.
If no, kindly uninstall your old samsung driver, reboot pc, install new driver, put your phone into "Download mode", connect phone to pc, run Odin & hope for the best! If you can get passed this step, then it's smooth sailing...

The obligatory obvious question here. Do you have the Samsung driver installed?
Just repartition the eMMC chip using .pit file with odin that it is suitable for galaxy S4 i9500.
If anyone has tried, please tell us, that it is work or not.

Please can anyone help? "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" N910C Apologies in advanc
Hi,
I realise that this is a common problem and that the usual response is "go read"
Here's the short version:
Bought the phone secondhand ROM installed is some varient of 5.1.1 afaik, tried to back up the ROM before trying otrher ROMS, CWM didn't work - read some threads - tried TWRP which seems to be installed, got into a boot loop, read some more threads - tried to install glamour S6 from TWRP, nothing happened now getting "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing"
Absolutely no idea where to start - I've had android phones before and always successfully rooted and installed ROMS before.
If anyone could help I would be very grateful as I don't want to make it even worse.
TIA....

You could have flashed a Stock ROM first / fresh and then try out other ROMSs.

Yes, possibly...
However, what I did was try to back up the supplied ROM first.
So that I would be less likely to bugger it up
I'm not sure that it has the OEM ROM tbh.

Hi,
I don't think I can flash anything at the moment ?
All I'm getting is "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" in a loop.
Not sure where or how to start
V+ & home & power does go to Team Win Recovery Project v2.8.7.0
Can I do anything useful from there ?
TIA...
well, by flashing i meant downloading a frimware from sammobile or... and using odin to install the stock rom , dont let that "kernel not seandroid enforcing" get on you nerve that one doesnt really matter , only way to solve your prob is to install a stock frimware...
about the slow download speed try searching the latest frimware name on google and a direct link from another download site might probably come up...

I guess the only solution for your problem is to download a stock version and flash using Odin. Then you can start trying other ROMs and so.
It will work 100% for sure.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks that's what I've been trying to do, downloaded 3 ROMs before you suggested that one. Finally worked out that unzipping them in windows was causing errors (reason unknown) switched to a different zip program and the ROMs are ok now. Still wouldn't install in Odin, switched to a different PC - same problem - bought a new quality USB lead and I've now installed the ROM suggested by you, I don't know whether the other ROMs would have installed as I didn't try with the new USB cable.
All the operations in Odin carried out successfully, I've now got a slightly different problem - when Odin finished, the phone booted:
"Samsung Galaxy Note 4" "powered by Android" then just SAMSUNG logo in the middle of the screen with some music - then back to the "Samsung Galaxy Note 4" "powered by Android"
I've had to take the battery out to stop the bootloop - I have looked for answers to this: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358554645
I'm a bit reluctant to randomly try fixes in case I make it worse ?
If anyone can help me out of the boot loop ?

Maybe the version that your phone was running was "coj5" Build of 5.1.1. this is the latest build of 5.1.1 and it basically locks down your phones bootloader you can't flash any old 5.1.1, 5.0.1 or 4.4.4 firmwares just go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910C/PAK/ and download the top firmware which is coj5. flash it and it might take you out of the bootloop (do a factory reset first) it will lock your bootloader to run only 5.1.1 or newer builds but since you have already tried other roms i think its worth it atleast you will have a working phone. (don't worry about csc being PAK it does not have any additional bloat)
Just in case it's of any help to anyone in the future.....
The unzipping problem was down to unzipping inside windows - as soon as I used winrar, no more corrupt files.
The install from Odin problem was down to a knackered USB cable.
Many thanks to Captain Droid and everyone else.
I got out of the last bootloop by repeatedly wiping the caches, after about 3 wipes it booted and seems to be running ok...
I'm very pleased to have it working again
Is there's a safe/best way to try other ROMs or is it a case of best leave alone ?
Less bloatware would be nice - or is there a way to properly remove some of it ?
I have N910CXXU2COL2_N910COLB2COL1_THL installed atm
What's the best currently available custom ROM for the N910C ?
Do not be afraid to ask dumb questions; they are easier to handle than dumb mistakes
Is there any obvious reason why Rom Manager can't install a custom recovery with this Rom ?

Hi,
I've installed this and am grateful to have a working ROM. I thought that after installing this, I would be able to install other ROMs ?
I would like to back up EFS and the current install before trying to install another ROM, ROM Manager won't work, so I have tried to back up EFS from Philz Touch Recovery, that hasn't worked either. It couldn't write to SD1 but claimed to have written to the phone, but hadn't.
I've also tried to install Sixperience from Philz, without any success - another bootloop. I eventually managed to reinstall the THL ROM via Odin.
Is it possible to back up EFS from the THL ROM ?
Can I install sixperience from Odin ?
Is sixperience the best ROM to try ?
TIA.....

Hello guys, thank you for helping!
I have a N910F that was working on a Lineage OS 14 ROM, I've decided to downgrade it to Marshmallow (It was Nougat) Stock ROM, I did that on Odin and wiped the user data and everything was working fine..
until one day the phone got back on 0% of battery and it just wouldn't boot normally, it was stuck in bootloop, I went and downloaded a Lollipop firmware(Because the MM ROM was deleted) and I flashed the ROM via Odin, and now the phone is stuck in "Recovery Booting..." maybe each boot is like 3 seconds or 2
Please help

Here's a link to the latest sm-n910f from updato.com. Maybe the 910f can't be downgraded from MM to Lp.
It's this firmware:

United Kingdom (EE) (EVR)
N910FXXU1DRD1
Edit- Link is broken, please go to updato.com for firmware.

I have a N910T, but perhaps someone in the thread I link to will be able to advise if this can help you as well.
This is the only method that helped my Note recover from the recovery bootloop, constant random reboot etc. To be honest, Fire Kat v21 is actually pretty good....very fast and nearly all of my apps still work on Android 4.4.4.

I've got similar problems. Even Odin flash didn't brought the device further. My battery was completely dead so I supplied with an external powersupply (around 3.9V).
That also doesn't work. I needed to add 2.4kOhm resistor between battery GND clip and thermistor clip to fake the non existing thermistor.
If you've got some electrical equipment at home give it a try. It worked for me.
Else you can try a new battery.
Besides that reboots occured after that again. Now I'm going to test the famous Wakelock app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl&hl=en. Nearly all reviews are from Note4 users there. Really sad...
EDIT: Can you measure your battery voltage with a multimeter?

Thank you for your help man ^^, sadly.. I don't have any electrical equipment to measure the voltage, I gave up on this phone.. it's a great phone but the software side is just bad.. :/
I can't even use that app because my phone won't even boot up normally or even go to recovery booting, I tried everything with Odin, what's left is ADB but I don't know how to use that.. do you? Ty!

So you flashed stock ROM with Odin via download mode, right? It's exactly the same behaviour as my phone had. Entering download mode is working flawlessly - recovery isn't working. It booted up, blue font "recovery booting" then turns off and on again. Endless loop.
Did you try charging the phone some hours? Is offline charging working?
Another thing you can try is the fridge. https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/bootloop-fridge-t3155586 or here https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxynote4/comments/4to05k/note_4_freezer_reboot_trick/.
Just search for note4 and fridge
You have a fridge, right?
If that helps (I hope for you :good you need to install the wakelock app afterwards. For me this worked (at least for the last day.) Without I had spontaneous reboots (especially when using the cam).
