Hello, is there any way to change AOD screen by code? I mean, I want to make app that changes AOD background from time to time. Is this possible?

Hi all,
is there a way to turn the screen on when a notification comes up?
I'm using Nova Prime an I've setup the lockscreen with pin code to unlock... is there any app that could help me to switch screen on and/or get notification on lock screen?
I'm trying to make a task that toggles the always on display on and off, based on certain profiles.
I paid for Secure Settings pro because I know for the S7, it gives the necessary options for this.
But with my G6 (7.0, stock, at&t) I'm only seeing a setting that toggles the brighter display for always on display, no actual toggle for always on display.
Is there a plug in or something I'm missing here? Is it under a strange name or something in the list for Secure Settings?
I emailed the developer about this and got no response.
I also tried Autoinput but it does not work well if lock screen is password/fingerprint protected.
Anyone have any ideas?
Are you trying to set the AOD to turn off/on at a specific time of day??
No, that's already in the settings. I want to eventually make a profile that will turn on and off the AOD based on notifications, but for testing purposes I've been using if it's connected to a power source or not.
I would like to toggle the Comfort View at a specific time of day though. But with this I have the same problem, I had to use autoinput which doesn't work well with having a protected lockscreen
On my LG G5 H850, I found the setting to be enable_ext_display_on_lcd_off=1

Does anyone know how to remove the Clock on the Lockscreen? I Don't mean the AOD. I searched and a few people wondered but got no answer. I am rooted and can perform actions that require it. Help Somebody
anyone?
Try here there's one that just removes the clock and leaves the date and other text aswell I believe. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ion-ui-overlay-overlays-t3604341/post73076098
I'm not rooted but that lockscreen clock is terrible.
I just want to change it to the same horizontal one I use on the aod screen but seems you can't.

There is a terrible hack to get rid of the horizontal clock:
Enable display of notifications and always have at least 1 notification showing at a time. If there is a notification, it will draw horizontal because there isn't room for vertical.
See?
Hi.
Would it be possible to somehow implement EXACTLY these notifications from native Android O?
https://phandroid.com/2017/03/21/android-o-ambient-display-video/
I would NOT like to you native AOD from samsung cause I don't want the screen to be turned on all the time.
And no.. I do NOT want to use different looking alternatives like AC display.
Any suggestions?
no one?
Is there any way to completely replace the lockscreen with the ambient display?
I already set it to tap-to-show ambient display and also using the accelerometer, but when I press the powerbutton the regular lockscreen still shows up. Can I somehow hide that thing and replace it with that beautiful, sleek, black screen?
Set up face unlock and check the option to unlock automatically and you'll barely see the lockscreen.
But I doubt you'll be able to replace it entirely, it doesn't even make much sense to me as to why you'd want to. Set a black wallpaper for your lockscreen.
