Phone keeps rebooting - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Hi All,
My phone sometimes reboots randomly.. I'm using TGPKernel on Oreo 8.0
Magisk root and xposed.
A lot of times when I try to reboot, it's stuck on the samsung logo - I have to go into TWRP and wipe cache and dalvik cache. Once that's done, it will startup again (everything seems to run fine)
please help (

[Q] Problem with Flexreaper Rev5

I am having some problem with Flexreaper Rom. I installed it yesterday and it worked really fine for me. But I faced some problem when I restarted my Tab. If I restart my tab in Recovery and do not do anything, not even wipe my cache, just reboot. Rom is stuck at Boot animation screen. I need to reinstall the Rom. So when I install the Aroma themes without wiping the cache, I can not run my Rom. But I loose all my previous settings and installed applications on wiping the cache memory.
Is it the problem with my tab only or somebody else is also having the same problem.....

I'm in the same boat. Boot loop, can get into CWM recovery, but can't do anything to get it functional; factory reset, wiping cache, reflashing koshu's 0.91 build, none of these work. Only other suggestion I've seen is getting an ADB shell while in CWM and checking the partitions are not corrupt. As per this post:

At the bottom of that thread there's reference to a possibly related Lenovo thread of people suffering similar problems, which was closed in Feb with a message about an extended repair program, valid until August.
It'd be a shame if it's a hardware issue, that we can't claim on because we're running custom software... you have to accept that risk when you decide to flash a custom ROM, but I don't think I'll be buying Lenovo again; mine's been repaired once already, and now this.

Bootloop after "StartiStartng Apps"

Hello members
I hope someone can help me. Yesterday I used my phone normally (checking mails, playing some videos etc.). Than the smartphone was rebooting without warning. Since the soft reboot the oneplus 2 is in a bootloop. After the boot animation, I can see the normal message "Starting apps". After that the phone is rebooting again. Can someone help me? I deleted the cache and dalvik cache via TWRP --> bootloop still occurs after starting apps message. I installed the oxygen os dirty over the system --> no change.
The only chance: i have to wipe the data partition (I've tried it and it works), but that's horrible, because all my settings and my personalized apps are gone. Furthermore I use the google authenticator with many apps, accounts etc. That would be a nightmare for me to recover all the accounts and login data.
My system:
Oneplus 2 A2003
Bootloader unlocked
CF Root 2.78
TWRP 3.0.2-2
oxygen os 3.1.0
Can someone help me please?

Have you tried booting into safe mode? (Power on and at logo hold volume + and volume - until in safe mode.

Cleared cache, now phone doesn't boot and goes to recovery

A friend just cleared cache and dalvik cache from TWRP on his OP5 and now when the phone turns on, it shows the spinning OOS boot screen and after about 30 seconds it starts the recovery.
We tried flashing the ROM again but it didn't change a thing. We tried flashing it from the stock recovery but clicking "Install from internal storage" didn't work and ADB sideloading is not possible.
I'm running out of ideas.
Try doing adb sideload from linux instead of windows. You can also choose to load the rom from a pendrive using otg.
just flash twrp again, flash oos, boot. might ask for a password, at that point you will restart back to recovery (will be oos recovery now) and just select you dont know the password and it will wipe your phone and then turn on. then go back and reinstall twrp again.
my guess is he accidentally clicked clear system, clearing cache doesnt break anything. clearing system on oos breaks it and you have to start fresh. that or install a custom rom.... but oos is better, so id spend the time and just do it right.

com.android.phone crashing and restarting phone

moving to android 10, but installed update 9.0.17 with the settings app and magisk messed up something since the device after a twrp install boots with everything working other than the crashing.
I've wiped the cache for the install, tried out installing via twrp (with backups this time) and wipeing the phone cache (the phone boots fine just have to tap close and only have a few presses before a restart) but cant confirm the storage clear menu due to the crashing.
I'm currently trying to move over a magisk uninstaller but is there a way to remove the storage or uninstall and continue with an android 10 installation?
yep magisk uninstall and reinstall worked
