If you bricked in M somehow , extract .184 M stock fw from ASUS itself .
Extract IFWI file and in put the IFWI into xFSTK ...leave dnx fwr and posignbin the same:good:
When you get to bootloader after flashing in xFSTK . Your IFWI version should be >
0094.0183 for M
Then flash 4.21.40.184 M raw file in AFT Provided above .
Note. , if serial number is incorrect , you have to 2 part flash raw in AFT like the video.
If serial is correct , flash raw ONCE only in AFT.

Yes I use on xfstk first then continue to use AFT. But serial number won't recover.
yes I'm bricked when Trying downgrade to lollipop. Now my phone flash successfully but imei and SN not recover.
Fyi, i trin oem partition, then erase etc includes factory on fastboot then my SN are 0123456789ABCDEF. please help me

That you didn't really get success in xfstk but your phone booted to fastboot and you think you had success but have boot loader for 6.0 and are trying to flash raw for. 5.0

beforely, i flash ifwi, dnx, boot, droidboot MM to get my phone bricked. then i used XFSTK too repair it, firmware + OS download success, then show a raibow bar on my phone then my fastboot show, then i use AFT. my SN and My Imei wont recover. i ve tried for couple times and stuck for 3 days for this. please help me

People struggling still with this method-- yet i have used it over a hundred times without fail.
Please dont send pm`s because i dont think you get my replies for some reason !
If you are still having probs ....re-download your files required.
Use a good quality usb data cable(one i used which worked perfectly all the time, wouldnt work in xfstk)
Do - extract all files offline with A/V disabled.
People with flat batts --
leave your fone alone and off ,let battery build a bit to kickstart enough to get thru the next phase...
Flash xfstk with(4x0`s) 0x80000807 in CRC box ... get your bootloader fastboot quick then power off via bootloader and charge fone for a few hrs....then let cool before reflashing in XFSTK with settings(5x0`s) 0x800000807
Doesnt matter if it says fails operating system ,aslong as success in ifwi and fwr dnx--- you will be back in bootloader by then
Then let fone stay connected to pc for 10mins atleast before closing XFSTK.
Close Xfstk after 10 mins and flash raw.
Follow vid re.. correcting serial number when fone pauses for approx 3 mins after flashing some cmds, when it stays on result=ok for 3 mins.

hi timbernot....i hv a problem probly u know of.
resently i bricked my ZF2 at usb mode that is after i upgrade to new software by asus.but forgoten that i've rooted my ZF2 with king root apps.then i found yr method from youtube..well i give it a try with xFSTK.somehow after fullfill the requirement needed i almost score the goal..but!my ZF2 end up with line's on my ZF2 screen.i did saw the bootloader screen for 2 second that everything became shattered.

Xfstk gives you bootloader
Once in bootloader you flash raw
You dont try to boot into system-- you let raw finish and boot into system on its own ,like the vid
The grey screen if thats what you mean with black lines (shattered look) is splashscreen in wrong format of 6.0 /on 5.0
Flash in Xfstk again(correctly)
Follow the vid !

i use xfstk with 550 file =====> my phone no vibrate . no anything.
and with 551 file =====> my phone virate and blank screen @@

It could be as simple as removing the cable from computer and putting in another usb port.
Mine was at 123456789ABCDEF (and then the Asus Flash Tool does not work) and I did this and the correct serial was shown allowing me to use Asus Flash Tool and unbrick my phone.

its perfectly normal for the first part to have 0-9 serial - restore it by pressing Vol + , when commands on phone stays on `RESULT=OK` for approx 3mins -- Then you force close asus flash tool and restart it and serial will be corrected.
The title of the thread gives us the clue that this will correc t serial number
The vid shows exactly when to initiate.

at -3.18 its on boot screen entering set up
if staying on four colours and not entering bootloader - reflash immediately again xfstk till success:good:
press download in xfstk -- press vol+ and power for 10 seconds and release , might have to do this a couple of times

Yotaphone 2 YD206 in Bootloop after update

Hello,
i have a problem with my 1 week old yotaphone and hope you guys can help me to solve.
Let me say, this is my first android device. After a long time using iphones i saw this 2-displays concept and wanted to give it a try.
But now my problem and the way to:
The phone was brand new and first of all i charged it for a wohle night.
After that i put in the sim-card and started the phone and walked through the start-procedure with WLAN, Googleaccount etc.
Then the phone told me about an update and i started it over WLAN.
The phone was downloading, rebooting and shows me a white window "updating x of 127(?) Apps".
Somewhere in the middel the phone rebooted again and now its in a bootloop.
What is possible with the phone right now.
I can start the phone wit the bootloop (powerred byAndroid, then restart)
I can use "Power + Vol-" to bring it into downloading mode
When i use "Power + Vol+" nothing happend.
When i use "Vol+ + Vol-" nothing happend.
The akku of the phone is empty now and it only works with usb or power unit connected.
In bootloop or downloading mode it is not charging.
What i tried.
What i try:
I read many topics with bricked / bootlooped yotphones and how to flash or cache whipping.
i connected the phone to my pc and used yotoflasher with many different firmwares.
I used fastboot:
- flashed the system.ing with differnet sizes.
- tried different custom recovery.img from different threads here and from other sites.
Even a complete new image, moddified RU img doesn`t help.
The phone stays in bootloop.
Yes, it`s a warranty case, but before i start to strech my nerves by handling with the dealer and shipping
this phone back to china i will try everything else and hope you can help me out of this situation.

Mine too,stuck in bootloop. I also tried the fastboot and it said waiting device.

If your phone displays Downloading... and fastboot keeps saying waiting for device then there is something wrong with the installed ADB driver. Strange that you had an OTA (Over The Air update). You didn't do anything between the SIM/Google registration and OTA ?
Normally there are no OTAs allowed on yd206 phones bought from China/HK , where did you buy it ? Chinese retailers have their own firmware that they put on phones , for me , maybe you had bad firmware installed.
The warranty of your phone is voided if you flash yotaphones bought from China and HK .
When you use yotaflasher do you get error message or "waiting for device" ?
To flash the Yotaphone , it should be in developer mode , but you couldn't put it in this mode because it first did the OTA that started your bootloop. Android apps are updated like that ("installing x of 127") when it gets updated to lollipop. Normally the OTA should have worked OK. Did you allow enough time at the Yotaphone logo after the first reboot ? It stays on this logo for 5 minutes before starting. I made this mistake.
The OTA started just after you set up Google etc ?
If so, normal yotaflashing will never work, but at least you havent broken the warranty . The thing we need to know is what exactly happened when you tried to flash , what errors messages appeared ?
If you did not put the phone in developer mode, then you cannot easily flash the phone, so your best possibility is to return the phone. Normally you can contact the seller by chat or email . Some are very good in exchanging.
It IS possible to flash your phone using fastboot, but I would not personally attempt it and you would lose your warranty . You need rootkits, SDK toolkits, universal drivers and images. Google "bootloop without USB debugging".
When I flashed my yd206 , (after many attempts) I flashed my yd206 to yd201 Russian KitKat ROM first and then did an OTA to lollipop.

Heres the rub.............Device is 1 month old and just started running slow and freezing. I turned the device off and on again and it booted up but took very long to boot. After the desktop launcher loaded i started getting update failures and app failures as device was unusable. Started device in recovery mode cleared cache and reboot but no luck....Tried a hard reset but no success the device just refused to boot up. Updated a new ROM that worked but did not support the WIFI chipset. Found another rom and reloaded the new one but it Hard Bricked the device. no lights and not loading......cannot get into recovery mode and does not boot from SD.
I was thinking of trying Mask Rom Mode to i am unsure how to proceed.
Please assist any advice will help.
There is a serial port link on the board but im not sure what can be done with it.
Is the emmc dead? or has it just lost the boot image?

I was trying some custom ROMs but when I installed Viper4Android and flashed it using Magisk the phone stucks on boot
However I have another problem, I found out that the internal storage of my phone got too small after upgrading into another version of Android, so I wanted to get back to Android 5 stock firmware completed to format the internal storage and not partitioning it as I thought so I tried to flash it in TWRP recovery but sadly after that I bricked the bootloader and the recovery. Next, I decided to flash a board image ALE-L02&L21&L23_MAA001077_Board_Software_general_05021SJN using IMAGE Download Software - IDTML01Ver1001, Still, the process got interrupted maybe because the phone was restarting itself and now I'm getting a screen that shows error after showing Huawei Ascend logo. Is there any chance to fix this dead phone but consider that my pc is no longer detecting the driver that I used to flash the board image, and I can't even turn off the phone now except if I let the battery dies.
Notice: I don't dare to use test points if there is no other choice how much it usually costs to fix it?

2 weeks ago many apps started to crash after I started the 9GAG app, and first the phone (Motorola moto e4 XT1762 [MEDIATEK]) ran very slowly, and then didn't respond. So I restarted it, but immediately after I entered my PIN all apps began to crash again. So I made a backup in phones recovery mode, then first wiped cache, which didn't help, and then made a factory reset, which didn't help either. So I decided to reflash the firmware with SP Flash Tool. From recovery mode I knew I needed version 7.1.1/NMA26.42-169/300, but first couldn't find it online. So I tried Motorola_Moto_E4_XT1762_MT6737M_WOODS_NMA26.42_75_04082017_7.0 first, but the problems remained. Then I found XT1762_WOODS_7.1.1_NMA26.42-169_subsidy-UNLOCKED_model-EMEADS_CFC_SVC and flashed it, which helped. Then I tried to restore the backup, but after that the phone got stuck on bootscreen. So I wiped and factory resetted again, which didn't help, so I flashed again. Unfortunately this time it didn't help, so my phone is always stuck at bootscreen. And in fastboot mode it now tells following:

I used the ROM XT1762_WOODS_7.1.1_NMA26.42-169_subsidy-UNLOCKED_model-EMEADS_CFC_SVC.xml.zip and programutags_XT1762_EMEA_Dual_SIM_V2.bat from here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/woods/official/RETEU/

@msfm44 Did you find any solution? My story is similar, I went a few steps further to brick it completely.
What I did I have installed Lineage 14 on it and it worked well, then I found a 16 version and wanted to install it. After that it would not boot into anything, was stuck in booting. Didn't help to reinstall 14 or wipe or anything. Then Then I downloaded the image you mentioned and flashed all the files preloader, boot, oem, system, etc. After that it would not do anything. Now if I plug it in the computer I only see the white LED on, and if I press long the power button then in "lsusb" it shows up for 2 seconds as MediaTek Inc. MT65xx Preloader.
