Moto g4 plus switching off randomly issue solved partially by disabling the following apps. It solves the issue partially only. Phone does switch off but frequency is reduced. Before disabling the apps listed below, my phone used to switched off anytime like even just unlocking the device or while playing a audio or video file or while receiving a call. Now phone switched off only when playing a video. It may work on your device or may not work at all. Try at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage done to ur device.
Below are the apps:
TalkBack
Motorola Notification
Moto Display
Moto Actions
Moto
Device Help
CQ Test
com.motorola.android.providers.chromehomepage
Basic Daydream
Audio Effects
You can find these apps in setting > apps. Enable show system apps if you are not able to see some system apps

Randomly when I make calls or receive calls I have no sound. I can't hear them and they can't hear me. Rebooting the phone will fix the issue for a short while. I have been able to reproduce this by connecting to my cars blue tooth and making a call. The 1st call works however all calls after the first call I have no sound again. When the phone in the no sound state (Phone Call) Bluetooth media still works just no sound while in a call. The speakers work because I can play music and the mic still works because I can still record sound. This issue seams to be related to the phone app its self???
My phone is a Samsung S4 (AT&T) with Android 4.4.2 (Rooted via Towelroot) with SuperSU by chain-fire installed.
Here is some of the trouble shooting I have already done.
1. Factory Rest the Phone via Stock Recovery (Still can reproduce the issue)
2. Played around with various settings i.e. Google Now Bluetooth options. Un-paired all Bluetooth devices and then re-paired one to try (Still having same issue)
3. Cleaned out all app cache (Still having same issue)
4. Re-installed pre-installed apps that I removed once rooted.
Long story short, this one has be baffled. The only thing that fixes the issue is re-starting the phone.
Thanks in advance for any assistance

Same Problem Here, I may have figured it out:
After I rooted I used some apps to auto kill some running, supposedly non-essential apps. This caused my phone call problems, same exact issue as you're having. A reboot fixed it for me as well. I will let you know if it happens again without closing any apps.......
My Note 4 (Snapdragon variant) is on the latest Samsung Lollipop version, I've always had poor batterylife so I've wiped the device and started afresh but I'm having an irritating problem where ringtones and notifications have a noticeable out of sync echo on them. This occurs when the application generates the notification and it also happens when I play the notification from the sound menu, it sounds a bit like two applications are trying to play the same notification at once but that can't be the case. If I repeated play back the notification the sync drifts in and out so sometimes it will play normally, mostly not.
I can't think what I would have done to cause this, there's no new applications installed compared to what was installed previously and there's nothing that should muck up with the audio. I've had a good hunt around but almost everything I've found refers to echos during calls. Any advice appreciated as the phone sounds absolutely terrible at the moment.
Edit - Well I was being stupid, I had the Sony SBH-52 bluetooth headset right beside the phone when testing and I didn't realise it and the phone were both playing the ringtone and notifications hence the echo. Disabled media audio on the BT connection and all sorted.

Hi guys, I have some problems with "mute phone alerts and calls" of Android Wear app. I have a LG G Watch R and with Moto X play the function above doesn't work anymore. Also enabled, I have sounds notification on my phone. Anyone have the same issue?
I have found another user with the same problem in Android Wear Forum on XDA (he has got a Nexus 5), but I believe in my case it's different because it should be correlated to Moto Display feature: indeed disabling it, I mean using Ambient display o nothing, the function works very well.
I tried everything, uninstall google play service, putting old copy of Android wear app, factory reset on my watch....The only thing I've not yet done is factory reset on my phone....
(64GB, orchid gray, T-Mobile, latest update)
Having a huge issue where most sounds (ringtone and notification sounds, for example) randomly stop working. Lock / unlock sounds work. Sounds in the camera app work, and so does audio from recorded videos. When trying to play videos in the YouTube app, the app would immediately say that an error has occurred.
Typically, a restart will get sounds working properly, but only for a while. I just so happened to pair a Bluetooth headset to it, and speaker sounds started working again.
It's obviously a big issue if you can't hear the ringtone, and waiting for a software update isn't acceptable for a top flagship.
I couldn't find any non-obvious settings to change.
Any ideas?
If you're using the Samsung SoundAssistant check its settings or disable it completely.

Currently not using Samsung Sound Assistant. The issue is happening regularly, making the phone overall unreliable. The person using it has reported noticeably worse battery life than their 2015 Galaxy J7, so we'll likely just return the S8.
Hello,
I'm trying to help a friend with her problem on Samsung A9. whenever she is playing voice messages sent to her on whatsapp over bluetooth, they play fine as long as the screen is on. the minute the screen goes off, the voice recording starts to stutter. the minute you turn the screen on and unlock the phone, it plays fine again. the problem occurs only via bluetooth & only whatsapp voice recordings. playing songs on google play music are ok when screen is off, it's only whatsapp recordings over bluetooth when the screen is off. recently the phone was updated to pie & I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this problem.
I have tried:
unpairing and repairing bluetooth
Trying another bluetooth ear piece
Clear Bluetooth cache
Reset Wifi & bluetooth settings
Remove Whatsapp & bluetooth from battery optimization & allow background activity
Turn off wifi & bluetooth scanning
No power saving enabled
Clear partition cache
In developer options tried changing AVRCP version annd codecs
reinstalling whatsapp which solves the problem for a short while & it comes back
Even tried going to Safe mode to see if it happens there as well but all 3rd party apps like whatsapp are not working there so couldn't test.
a regular recording that was sent to her via whatsapp (a phone call recording attached as a file in whatsapp) was playing just fine on bluetooth when the screen was off, it's only an issue with the built in voice recordings in whatsapp. whatsapp is updated to the latest version and the phone was upgraded to pie. would appreciate any help.
i have the same issue. Curious about a solution!
