[Need Help, Stock 6.0.1] I'm new here and i need some suggestions.

Well, recently I've moved from Galaxy s4 to Moto X Play and everything is new here for me becoz Exynos and Snapdragon are very different so flashing procedure is also different.
Currently I'm on stock unrooted android 6.0.1, and I want to know, is this device worth customization?
If yes then....
1. Which recovery is the best? (i didn't find official TWRP)
2. Which rom should i try first?
3. Does it support xposed Version 87?
4. There is lots of CM based roms, can anyone provide me bug list of CM based roms.
And most important thing, in case of bootloop or soft-hard brick then where can i find updated stock firmware?
If anyone give me answer of my questions, I'll really appreciate it.

Thanks for ur reply, and what about xposed?

i don't use it, but I guess you can't with N rom, but a MM one, cm13 is very good and recently patched if you need MM

BTW i didn't find official TWRP for X Play, Link that u provide is not official build.
Is this fully functional?

Well, obviously he can live without it...

I'm come from samsung where rooting and flashing is so easy, also firmware news and new updates is easy to find on sammobile.com
Is there any website like sammobile where i can easily find official up to date firmwares for Motorola devices??

Can Anyone give a VoLTE to The Android N roms in j5 (2015) ?

I've Been using the J5 for over a year now...
And I'm Pretty Happy With The development...
I use a VoLTE network...
& I thought someone should Develop The VoLTE for nougat,
The Nougat Roms Are amazing...:good:
I am a big Fan of pure android ui...
& i really need VoLTE in my device...
& There is no Nougat rom with VoLTE..
So its my humble req to the devs here at xda...
PLease Make a VoLTE NOugat rom....

As long as the Official Nougat firmware is not available for j5 2015, nothing will be done from the developers. At least till now.

which means u probaly will never get volte on nougat because
1. aosp devs cant fix
2. 90% sure that j5 wont get TW nougat

VoLTE is already enabled in TW Nougat roms..
You can use the rom from the below link.. The rom is amazing & 99% bugless..

Hi..
I guess pure android roms means you are talking about Official Stock Nougat Rom for J5 2015, then there is 99% chance that our device will not get it..
But the rom I mentioned in my above comment is as good as Stock Nougat Rom.. You can give it a try if you want to.. I'm sure you will not regret.. Its your choice..

Yes but it's TW,
I'm talking about Stock Android.
We have working VoLTE on nougat TW but not on any other.
Anyway ? is here so enjoy it.

Well CM14, or LineageOS 14, does exist for our devices. However, the developer for it was not able to get the sim card from our devices to work so he halted development. It may be possible to get the sim card to work, but I don't even know of a solution for that.

Don't be sad man .
Exynos 5433 with stock rom >> Snapdragon with developing made Oreo .
I heard a lot of people having problems with snapdragon but Exynos is stable as a rock .

see i dont have any problem if they just bring noguat to us .. i dont need much .. my main issue with the stock rom is DPI , if you change it a lot of mistakes will appear for example dialer and camera , toggles in notification will be small and just 5 in each row ,, like these mistake , and in the end magisk systelmless root

Stock ROM very slightly debloated by myself.

The wrong thread ROM.
Further there are 2 versions of s10+. Snapdragon and Exynos devices.

i think its H2OS, very clean and concise.

Hello, I just got an s10+ and found this thread while researching for what to do with my phone. Have you tried BeyondROM and which ROM was better in terms of battery life?

Hi Haknor, I was wondering if you could elaborate a little on this. I have an SM-G975F coming in the next couple of days and my intention was to install LineageOS on it for improved privacy. But then I stumbled upon LineageOS for MicroG and now you have mentioned /e/ which seems to also use MicroG.
What is best for:
1) Privacy
2) Still functional

Galaxy S8 Active rom install from the beginning

Can anyone guide me through installing a solid rom from the beginning? The last pie update was great but doesn't seem up to par any more and I'd like to enjoy my phone to its fullest.
I've searched and links no longer work and I've read through hundreds of posts without finding new ones.
My impression is CYANOGENMOD ROMS would work for me.
I also use google apps which hopefully can still be installed and used.

Assuming that your s8 active is snapdragon? If so. you're unlucky. There are no custom roms for snapdragon variant. However if you have an exynos version there are many custom roms for it. Cyanogenmod roms were renamed to lineage os. So I think the roms you are looking for is lineage os

Well s8 is quite a phone in 2022, if you're bored of it, you can try rooting it and customizing it

So it is possible to root it and then flash a customized rom?
Will a customized rom be faster or more secure than 9.0?

You can root it, however a room cannot be flashed, it has to be built for a specific device. Customized ROM offer more security than normal roms they can also offer an increase in Performance, since they keep up with android patches.
