Hi
I have a S8 international under android 8 oreo.
In my house there is no very good 4g signal reception and continuously is losing data signal (even phone signal is always good)
The problem here is each time 3g data is lost I receive a notification sound with the corresponding notification "No data service"
Tried to remove notifications from phone app but still they appear...
It is very annoying receive that sound notification sound each 10seconds as 3g network goes and comes...
Do you know any solution?

So as we know, LTE is data connection and doesn't support voice service by now , so there are 3 ways of workaround.
1. VoLTE, isn't available for now anyway.
2. CSFB, means connect to 4G in use, but switch back to 2G/3G when calling, where Internet will get killed if on switch back on 2G.
3. SVLTE, means connect to both LTE and 2G/3G , data goes on LTE and voice goes on 2G/3G, of course battery life is reduced.
So I was wounding how does our s4(i9505) work on such matter?
Anyone please?

Looking on the icons during the call, the data connection usually disappears during the call. Therefore I'd presume that all data connections are terminated.

I observed this in LTE, 3G and 2G range already. ALL means ALL.
Anyone else having issues with the phone never regianing its phone signal after being in an area with no signal, and have to turn on flight mode and off again to get a signal very annoying.
Yes, same here

Thankfully, no. I loose signal about 30 times during the average train ride, but it picks back up nearly straight away.
Its doing my head in sometimes I can go over a day with realizing and miss texts and phone calls
Went through hell yesterday on the underground in london, my phone gets signal as soon as it picks it up, what modem/rom combo are you using?

Try to put your phone in auto select operator. No manual select operator. And after that see tahat your problem persist.
I am getting constant data drops i.e. no data icon or internet, even though my note still shows data connected from quick settings bar, where I work the signal is a bad area indoors, also at home for the same reason, my work around is to switch airplane mode on and off again to restore data connection.
I have noticed this on all the 4.4.2 kitkat variants I have tested.
using latest stock 4.4.2 when you say auto operator is are you on about lte/gsm etc auto?

I found that grabbing the latest rom for your region and then flashing that and performing a full wipe sorted my issue when I had it.
Also, make a backup in Kies as this makes it slightly less painful to do.
It sent me round the twist, but luckily it is much better now!

It look like modem not work best with you provider, try different modem if you can, it's still not fix and then hardware failure.
-Mine re-gain signal very quick, it's best signal compare to all of phones i current have.

Hi All,
I am not receiving network signal or very low signal. I have Iphone 6, Redmi Note 3 all have full signal strength but my S8 not even receiving any signal even if I go outside of my home if receives max 1 or 2 network bar.
I tried doing factory reset, resetting the network everything.
Any other solution apart from Visiting to service center?
If there is any software solution I can do before going to Service center.
hi everybody,
My Xiaomi MI A1 32GB lost data connection several times a day. I have only a visual notification - X symbol within signal strength bar(not above like should be in this case). This symbol in general is regarding roaming connectivity, but i am at my home network. When i enter in Settings and deactivate/activate the SIM, the data starts again. All the time i dial and answer the calls, it is only related to data connection in my home network.
Any idea how to fix it in other way, may be to install network signal booster app?
This is an Android 8.0 bug, not a phone one, right?
Regards,
I've had the same issue when using two SIMs. To fix the issue temporarily, I switched to flight mode for a few seconds, then it worked for a while.
Now I've switched of the second SIM card and since then the issue never happened again. So if you don't need two SIMs, I'd suggest to turn one SIM off temporarily till the problem is fixed. Maybe it is already fixed in the February update.
I have the Mi 9T and am on Vodafone UK. If I am driving around or walk 10 minutes or so the 4g shows as connected but there is no data sent or received. I have to toggle 4g off and on again to make it work. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix. Thanks
if you have 2 bars or lower signal, then it's normal. looks like provider issue - even on local roaming it sometimes won't download anything on 4G

I don't think that's the case - I think when it is going between phone masts something is going wrong. It will show full bars but nothing downloading. Toggle the 4g on and off and works fine again.
