I have samsung s5 (G900H) having damaged screen. Its screen is blank and touch is not working. I have flashed Marshmallow stock rom via odin then flashedTWRP 3.0.0-0 by Fevax via odin. TWRP recovery is installed successfully as TWRP folder with settings file is created. But I am unable to access recovery using adb . It shows no device in adb devices.
How can I enable adb in twrp recovery if it is not enabled by editing twrp settings file or some other way. Then, I would install supersu zip via adb in recovery to root it.
I have finally rooted my S5 by flashing "CF-Auto-Root-k3g-k3gxx-smg900h.tar" from CF-Auto-Root thread via odin . Huge Thanks to @Chainfire . :good::good::good::good::good:

Hi people,i recently bought a nexus s and when i try to install any update via recovery, such as the official 2.3.5 uk rom(i am on 4.0.4) i get the verification failed error,i even tried to root using the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip file in recovery but still same error, using 4.0.4 with unlocked bootloader, any ideas how to fix this,i only use linux so hopefully not a windows only fix,Cheers.
Couple of possibilities:
-You're using stock recovery/old custom recovery version; flash the latest CWM or TWRP recovery via fastboot
-Your recovery is corrupt/not for your phone; flash the latest CWM or TWRP recovery via fastboot
-You've toggled an option in recovery to check for signed .zips; turn this off via recovery
@Harbb for some reason check for signatures was ticked, all good now, Cheers
So I was going about doing my business, I rooted and flashed a custom XPosed framework build and after that my device got stuck in a TRWP bootloop, it will not go boot into anything but that.
(When rebooting from TRWP it says "No OS installed, are you sure you want to reboot?"
And when I try to flash a custom/stock ROM it gives me the error "E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/ROMNAME.zip' "
Details:
Samsung Galaxy J5, SM-500FN, TWRP v2.8.7.0, Odin cannot recognize the phone while in TRWP which is the only possible state and the PC cannot access it's files, I need to use SD cards to get files on it.
Thanks a LOT to anyone helping me.
What do you mean TWRP is the only possible state? To use odin you need to boot to the USB Download Mode. To do this you need to take off the battery, put it in again, and then do Vol down + Home + Power.
You can flash stock firmware via odin, http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Or flash Nick Verse's TWRP

I flashed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696537. Gained Root, flashed a Custom Rom then flashed TWRP Img through recovery. Worked for me.
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Hello people...
I was trying to install this ROM on my OP5 (OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_040_all_1811051816_c6670cf) that previously had a modified ROM (xXx NoLimits).
Installing de stock ROM with TWRP 3.2.3-0 threw error 7, so I tried to Install the sotck recovery flashing from fastboot (https://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amaz...m/recovery.img) and now can't acces de "Install from internal storage" from the stock recovery. ADB does not recognize the device when entering in fastboot mode. I tried drivers reinstallation, and installing with sideload with error.
The device has a Unlook Bootloader, and was rooted with Magisk.
Sorry about the english. ¿What can I do to install the SO or TWRP to restore the BackUp?
Thank you all.
FIXED: The problem was solved with this thread by djnim: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/guide-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3761706
Remember, if NO operating system, unrecognized fastboot and NO functional bootloader, use the MsmDownladTool V4.0.
Can someone help me with my phone issue?
I have a Samsung S10 plus 128gb that was interupted when it was going to get new image and twrp. I think I was doing it wrong despite following the instructions on this site:

Here are some step by step instructions on how to install TWRP Recovery and then root using Magisk on any Android phone using Odin.

Now i cant get out off download mode.
I used the TWRP specific for my device Samsung Galaxy S10+ Exynos (beyond2lte)
I got this error message:
ODIN MODE (AVB Fail)
recovery: Error validating footer. (0)
recovery: Error verifiying vbmeta image: invalid vbmeta header (6)
VBMETA G975FXXU9DTJA, 35343968R
I have provided some details about my device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Does your computer recognize the phone in Odin mode? Have you tried to flash the stock firmware?
Sorry for the late response. I was able to recover my phone after I took it on the Samsung customer service for repair. I really don't know much about these software stuff, though I want to really root my phone but I'm afraid to attempt it again using Odin, TWRP and Magisk . Is there a way to root my Samsung Galaxy S10+ without using a PC or laptop? I tried using the Kingroot app but it fails to root my phone and after I found out feedbacks about the app, I uninstalled it on my phone.
