Recovering data || soft bricked s7 edge - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

Hey Guys.
I am wondering how to recover data instead of factory reset android Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Many precious photos and text messages are deleted after factory reset. Is there chance to connect soft bricked phone and get data back before factory reset ?
Thanks a lot.

no idea why all these posts are not responded to. i imagine you figured out by now a factory reset does not normally wipe the sd internal or external

Have you installed any suspicious apps outside of the Play Store recently? There are malicious apps that can do this, even back in 2012 there was a bug that caused this just by visiting a webpage. As for recovery of data, I think the possibility is slim to nil. If it actually factory reset everything was deleted.

[Q] S4 factory reset or hard reset? [root]

Hey, I need some help with my Samsung Galaxy s4.
I rooted my phone for a week now and the last couple of days I noticed my phone is getting very warm. Only using Chrome and WhatsApp. It's insane hot when I charge it. So I was thinking to factory reset or hard reset my phone, but is it possible with a rooted phone? I never flashed a ROM and only downloaded some rooted apps like Greenify, Root booster etc.
Thank you in advance.
Robin.
Rooting your phone gives you access to the root of the file system, but is does not change any ordinary functionality of your phone. So you can perform a factory reset whether you are rooted or not. Also, I would be surprised if there is any connection between rooting the phone and overheating. It is more likely that the overheating is related to something you installed, either before or after rooting.
It is best to perform a factory reset from within recovery. Boot into stock 3e recovery and perform a "wipe data/factory reset." Before you do so, make backups of anything that you do not want to lose in the data partition, such as text messages, address book, call logs, etc. The data on your sdcard will not be affected.

Does Samsung Galaxy S5 Factory Reset deletes internal storage?

Hi guys. I have worked on Samsung Galaxy S5 device (sync data to Samsung A7)... When I have finish synchronizing all data on new A7 I have done Factory Reset on the old Samsung S5 device.
On the old model (S5) there where no Micro SD card inside, and I done Factory Reset via Settings menu ( settings menu - Factory Data Reset section. Tap this and proceed through the warnings then sit back and enjoy a clean phone once it reboots.)
I wonder if Factory Reset deletes all data from internal storage? This phone supposed to be given to someone, and it wouldn't be good if someone turn ON the phone and navigate through data which has been left on.
Thanks
no. you have to delete it manually.
I want to thank you for quick response. However, after I turn on this Samsung Galaxy S5 I saw that there is no data left inside internal storage. Still, I have done Factory Reset one more time just in case

Can data (mostly Photos) be recovered if Nexus 6P is in bootloop issue

Can data (mostly photos) be recovered from Nexus 6P if it is in bootloop mode and is not starting. I was looking for self help instructions online and by mistake did the wiping/data factory reset (Wiping all data) via bootloader under recovery mode. I later realized that the photos were not backed up/ synced.
So, the question is can i still recover the photos on the device as i have read that hard reset only erases app data while photos and multimedia files can still be recovered even after hard reset if the device has not be used (or data is not overwritten). What are my chances?

It is normal. Data encryption will encrypt all data from hard disk so after reset you can't retrieve any on the data. Encryption comes in handy for selling mobiles or giving to someone else to use after reset. They can't retrieve any of the data previously stored in your phone.
