Hello Everyone,
I am looking for ROM with focus on battery backup. Currently, I am using Elixir OS, but there was no update since March.
I would like to have Android 8.1, but if ROM would have significantly better battery backup on Android 7.x that would also be great.
Thanks.

Just use Bootleggers rom. It's best in terms of Performance and battery life. You'll get minimum of 8 hours SOT for normal use. Or else you can try Nitrogen OS. But the latest update isn't good for Volte. I suggest you go for Bootleggers. It's got some good customizations too.
Use Bootleggers but change kernel to either beacon or something else. Spicy kernel has very slow charging speed. Keeping the stock kernel which comes with Bootleggers is also fine.
You're asking the wrong question here. Battery backup doesn't depend much on ROM but on the kernel and your apps usage. Flash beacon kernel or use Kernel Adiutor to change your current kernel's settings, edit build.prop etc.
Try dotos 2.2 . Its awesome, very smooth and good battery back up.

Well.. Mokee didn't work that well on my phone , so I put the 10.2 from QUARX. It's working better. I did almost 5k in antutu benchmark..
If you want a stable ROM try CM10. If you want speed use CM10.2 and disable lockscreen widgets. The fastest is AOSP 4.4 KitKat but it's not very stable, as some things don't work.
Thank You good people
I'm trying cm.10.2 right now and it is really nice. I must tune it a little by Yours advices.

Same here. 10.2 is just running fine. If someone is interested in usb-hostmode. you can get a modified kernel here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46979380#post46979380
I'm very pleased with CM 10.2 too (last version (30102013)). For faster work i turn off all transitional effects in interface. I hope CM11 in a short time will be the best choise.
Disabling hwa foralla pass execpt "Système android" & "IU système" will give you more speed in the apps and transitions too
You could always try to use Slimbean it is fast and has a terrific battery life, or you could always try CM11, i am currently using the 24-11-13 build with BaNkS core GApps, yet you would have to delete some things from the zip before flashing if you want to use CM.
CM11 is really the fastest since the lanunch of android 4.x. But it's still in developpement.

Would AOSP be faster than CM version?
What about Maniac CM7-20130710 ?
I think it is fast enough.
How do you define "fast"?
I want a phone that is not locking up in everday usage (lightweight), not rebooting when I get called (stable) and I don't care for gaming performance. This phone is 3 years old and I want it to work. All apps became way more bloated than they were three years ago, imho we should focus on lightweight apps and a lightweight ROM. We don't have as much RAM and a fancy dual/quadcore CPU as the recent phones, but the apps are made for those phones.
I currently have CM10 and though it runs good sometimes, I often get lockups when I forget to close apps in the background and whatnot. This isn't acceptable.
Do you have any suggestions for me? E.g. a lightweight browser? Dolphin lags like hell...
As far as stability is concerned, Maniac's latest CM7.2 ROM is still the best. But that means giving up on the latest apps which require ICS or JB to work. I tried Quarx's CM10.2 (with JB 4.3) and it's surprisingly fast and it's quite stable as well but some features are a bit buggy. With Kitkat being released, I doubt 4.3 will ever get the level of polish that CM7.2 can boast.
Hi all....
So, if I want something very stable, have I to try Maniac CM7? I want give my old defy to my grandfather. He will use it for calling, sms, and sometimes taking photos and internet (maybe some card games). He is a bit old, so he need something easy, most stable and with slovak language. Thanks for your help .
If your grandfather is tech savvy go ahead. If not, MIUI might be a more user friendly ROM. Make sure you have all important apps on the main screen and lock it so he can't accidentaly (re)move them.
Hmm, ok. I had MiUi too on my Mi2S, so probably I'll try that first. And I want to download some launcher with big icons on main screen, so, I think it can be good.
Thanks.

Use cm13 official. Download it here https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=wt88047. Download the latest one! Use TWRP 3.0.0 by kumajaya as your main recovery. And for your sdcard in MM, it happens becoz MM has a feature that can be encript sdcard so it cant be accessible by another device and any custom recovery. Its not a bug. My suggestion, set your sdcard as a portable, do not use it as internal storage. But, the choice in your hand.!!!!

If you wanna have more customizable rom, then use AICP official. It has more features, tweaks, and good battery backup and performance. And if you wanna have a simplicity rom but customizable too, then use Cm13 official. It has good battery backup and performance, 8 hours SoT exactly that i know. What your choice???
Guys, sorry for my question.
My girlfriend has a Redmi 2 1/8GB, with custom ROMs would it lose a lot of camera performance? Or the shots taken are similar to MIUI's one? Thank you.

Personally, after I switched from MIUI 6 to CM 11, I did think there was some lose in performance, but after careful clicking and giving the ROM sometime, the pictures were as good as MIUI. i have changed from CM 11 to CM 12 and now am on CM 13, and I think the pictures taken are really on par with the stock ROM even if its not equally good. I think the pictures taken on MIUI are crisp compared to pics taken on CM, so thats what we see as a difference. For a average person, I don't think it will matter in anyway. :good::good::good:

You think 8 hours SoT is just a lullaby. But it happened to me, i can get 8 h SoT with mobile data on, surfing on chrome, fb, insta, twitter, etc. 8 hours with SoT and Multitasking. Its a fact. I saw in cpu spy reloaded, cpu freq majority is in 400 MHz. Its very good for my batt backup. No lag, no heat.!!

yeah, I'm using the latest app and zip file, no problems so far.
On a side note, with mokee's default kernel, antutu scored 26600, and with the latest HexaTurbo it scored 29500 Hexa was very stable on cm13 I bet it will be great on mokee
For daily use stable is better. Mokee 6 is awesome.

No, I'm not use it anymore, I used it about 6 months before change my ROM to PureNexus 7.1
Battery life about 5 hours normal, 1 day with Airplane Mode. No FC or something like that. No overheat. Though I recommended you to use custom kernel and audio mod (since audio will get better)
The RR 5.7.4 are better than Mokee 6 history version (battery backup, performance, etc..)? Another custom rom MM is good and daily usable?

Not any ROM stable. Coz ever ROM have networks issue.. Both sim same time not worked. 4g problem. Also 1sim work then secondary call ended. Just showing networks but you can not call at the same time.

I'm on the latest build of Resurrection remix rom. I'm getting easily a day to a day and half of battery backup with SOT of 8hrs ( of course it from person to person on how they use it ). I'm a moderate user. Volte working but for that you have to sacrifice device encryption. Disable animations if you as want a swift UI experience. Plus a lot of customisation to tinker with. No matter which rom you choose there always be something you have to compromise with. The choice is up to you.
