Same thing. And I know 3 more people having the same issue. I tried on my old s7 and I had no problem.
I had the same issue with slow motion stuttering with Oreo. Before the update everything was normal.
But I updated Oreo with Odin. After trying every possible option on the phone, I gave up and rolled back to Nougat. No stuttering at all.
Did you waited for the update to come itself or did you flashed Oreo with Odin?

There is a youtuve link explaining full process how to downgrade.

Maybe there is a solution for the stuttering. Someone one reddit said that changing the resolution of the display to the lowest settings HD+ fixed the stuttering problem. When I read the comment I updated to Oreo just to see if thats the solution. Well strangely for me at that display resolution HD+ stuttering was even more profound, but when I changed to WQHD+ there was no stuttering at all 0_o . Today I am going to test more with this resolution and report back again, to be sure 100 percent if display resolution is the solution.

Same problem. I tried hd+. Notting changed.
It is too frustrating!
I had the same problem, and found an actual solution that works (and makes sense) for me. My camera app was set to save to SD card so I changed it to internal storage and slow Mo stopped skipping. I guess it didn't have fast enough write speeds?
Hope this helps someone else.
the slow motion has been fixed by samsung on the new CRD7 update for april on my galaxy s8, previously changing resolution and file save location doesnt fixed the slow motion stuttering but now its fine.
Are you still facing this issue or it was fixed already?
I am on crg1 build from july and still have frame dropping on slowmo.

Just got a 7.45MB quick update that had the standard update message - "Stability and security fixes are included. Thank you for choosing Samsung!"
I think it might have fixed the screen mirroring cannot be started bug - haven't had any trouble with it after the update, whereas before it would mostly fail.
Edit: Also noticing a recurrence of Chromecast notifications when casting. Those disappeared after the last update. I think. No crashes so that's great.
Just got the update too. I'm able to screen mirror to my roku3, whereas before the update I'd get hardware errors. Movies now stream, though it gets pixalated. Think that's cause miracast is still in beta for Roku's.
I haven't been able to try out the screen mirroring functions, but I'm glad to say that the homescreen seems more responsive after the update.

I played a full H264 movie on my Microsoft DisplayAdapter and it did not appear pixelated but the tablet was bit slow when the movie was playing- I've got a Roku3 as well, will try it out later.
Battery life seems to be somewhat better after the update - drain is less when using the screen and the tablet continues to be smooth.

Yep, got the OTA yesterday, not sure what it changes. There was also an OTA for the Tab Pro 8.4, but that one was larger.
Updated last night from NI1. Small bug fix update I'm guessing. Hope it'll fix the sound glitch I've experienced a couple times.

What is your glitch? I get something that happens once in a while where the sound is very low resolution and sounds over modulated.
Seems to happen most after playing Clash of Clans.
I've had it do that once and I've had it sound "sped up" once.
And now there's a 4+ Mb CNK2 update. This is more update than I am used to from Samsung. Hopefully this continues and we get to 5.0.4 fairly sooner than usual
No idea what the update actually fixes.

Just got another update today. K2 at the end of the release and still 4.4.2.
Not much for details included in the description on the update notification, just software enhancement and bug fixes.
Happy to report that NK1 & NK2 are both still rootable with the cf-auto-root made for 4.4.2.
Also, I might be imagining it, but it seems like battery life is better on NK2, especially standby time. CPU is definitely entering deep sleep more often than on any other KitKat build for this device.

Anyone have the tar file?
Really wish Samsung would bring back lockscreen widgets :/ the original p600 firmware had it, but it's been missing since the first update :/
Mk2 is up for US,I grabbed it from sammobile. Wiped clean, odin the tar, root and trwp. Back up in 20 mins. Its fast
Ok, so it all started with B183 update, I've immediately noticed that chrome scrolling and app switching while on chrome, was super laggy.
To confirm that, i tried playing Tekken 6 on ppsspp emulator, which is super CPU intensive, and it barely played it!!! as opposed to before, which was rocking 60 fps with no issues.
My theory is that Huawei implanted some new throttling mechanism, or maybe tweaked the kernel too much and ****ed up some basic settings that they overlooked, if anyone can test how web browsing, mainly on chrome works on new updates, that would be great, but the PPSSPP testing is the best, so far i found out that B181 is the latest and greatest firmware.

Hmmm..... I am on B182. I think I have been experiencing the glitches as well
Playback video too longer than usual to play and at times freezes along side.
Gallery at times slow when flipping through pictures
Apps crashes and you have to run again...
I think it will be the firmware. It make me feel like the fone is not fast.

Indeed, on B181 the phone flies through everything like it should be, on B183 and forward, it crawls on a lot of tasks... make a video if possible, we need to make sure Huawei aware of that, or we might never update our phones again.

Has anyone else here played this game on the essential phone? I have a couple of strange glitches. I initially thought they were associated to my original faulty device, but after receiving my warranty replacement that is not faulty the same issues still persist on PUBG Mobile. So I am assuming it's something with this phone in general.
First glitch is some artifacting during the loading screen on the notch end of the phone. I am assuming this is because of the screen resizing to accommodate for the notch. It seems like it starts to attempt to resize the screen a few times in a row every once in a while resulting in what looks like some screen glitching. I've noticed this in other apps while using them too like chrome and OfferUp. Looks like every once in a while the app suddenly attempts to resize back to full screen mode for a split second, then immediately shrinks back down again to cut out the notch area.
Other issue is while using both fingers on the screen at the same time. Moving while aiming for instance it will spin my character around a little bit.
Doesn't display any of this behavior on any other phones I've ever had. I already contacted the publisher of the game but Wondering if anyone else has these issues and knows a workaround.

So you still have the graphical glitches?
How do I get P?
Also is it possible to force games and other apps to utilize the full screen pace around the notch? As much as I don't like apple I do notice in YouTube videos that it does fully utilize the notch area on the iPhone X.
Alright nevermind found the settings in developer options from YouTube video to force all apps to use the notch area.

Yes! God, I thought I was the only one with the multi touch issue..but I'm too lazy and stupid to get P so I suppose I'm out of luck.
There's a fix for the multi touch glitch bug. It's a magisk module called "Pixel 8.1 multi-touch fix".
Let me warn you, DO NOT install it if you are on the stock essential ROM, because it will fail to boot. It is only safe on AOSP based ROMs. I can only vouch for myself that it works flawlessly with lineage. If you are on stock ROM you'll have to wait until essential releases a fix.
I just read up on it a little. Apparently it's an issue with all phones running 8.1.0 Oreo witch I did not know. My original essential PH1 was faulty, kept crashing and rebooting so I thought this was part of the faulty device.
Looks like they plan to release a fix in June security update.

The hissing sound is finally gone, I can't see any bug right there (someone faced the uncertified bug, but for me isn't here, maybe try to reboot), I'll see if the battery now isn't draining too much like in May update

my phone got snappier after update, but fingerprint scanner got a bit slower.
My phone certainly felt slower after the 8.1 update.
I did not encounter the SMS message bug but some hours after the update I lost WiFi connection altogether (could not enable WiFi, mac address 2:0:0:0... I had no choice but to reflash from stock image. After the reflash I'm still at 8.0, as the reflash phone is not seeing the 8.1 update yet.
FYI I use Magisk and Franco kernel app. When the 8.1 update is available for my phone again I'm going to take more time with backup and checking that there are no compatibility issues.

Wifi MAC address problem ìs not from stock 8.1 but from incompatible kernel (like FK for now).
A pretty decent update in my case. Didn't encounter any bugs or issues so far, only that phone was really slow after first boot but after maybe 10 minutes or so it started working as fast as 8.0.
I like how the colors are now changing according to the dominant color of the wallpaper, but tinting on lockscreen or under notifications in that same color is a little bit weird... but I'll probably get used to it.

8.1 update, lost all stored sms messages and SafetyNet check fails... Everything is stock and has aleays been stock so this is Xiaomi's fault
Xiaomi pulled the 8.1 update and its no longer available so we should wait until they release a bug-free version of it.
Did this fix the scroll lag?
Xiaomi pulled back the update. Those updated should receive an incremental update to fix bugs.
You had one job, and for how many times Xiaomi is pulling updates after they release is to their devices, in this case, to Mi A1?
Really, we are talking about the Android One device, and only one device that is out there on the market.
And for the love of God, this is 8.1 update, nothing major.
Looking forward what they will do with the 9.0 update and how long we will wait for it.
Luckily, on my dad´s Mi A1, it is still 8.0 and february security patch, I was waiting for this update to install on his phone but this happens. Also I don´t know if it is true about the audio, it is lowered after some updates after may month I think. I don´t know if everyone is affected or not.
Hi,
I have been using my Oneplus 8 Pro Black 8GB RAM version and noticed that when recording videos it stutters for 2-4 seconds on all settings both when recording and in the finished processed result.
Its overall sluggish and reacts very slow when moving the phone around both with video and photos.
This is a pretty big issue for me, actually a deal breaker. I had a few complaints about some other, mainly software problems and I got over it because it's the best phone I thought. But with this lag it's a no go.
It's not always there, but it's there.
Is it fixable? Because am I am loving the phone and would like to keep it but with this problem I would definitely have to return it.
Anybody having this issue? Any suggestion?
PS: I wanted to post a video but I am not allowed.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Could you post a sample of this issue? Are you on the latest update? Are you using the stock app? Have you tried doing a cache wipe?
I am on the latest update, using stock app. I didnt try Cash wipe.
Here is one video. The stutter is at the beginning in this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fK72ha1TXU
Yes, I can see the stutter. I suggest go ahead with the cache wipe in the stock recovery to see if that helps, try clearing the cache of the camera app too.
If that doesn't solve the issue, I advise you to contact customer support and explain this to them.
Also you might want to create a thread on the official forums, they're following that better.
This is definitely a software issue most likely fixable via an update. If this only happens at the start then I'd just start recording a couple of seconds earlier to be able to cut the part out of the finished video.
One more thing. Does this happen on every setting? 4k60, 4k30, 1080p60, 1080p30? What about the rest of the video modes?

I posted it on the offical forum, only few people had this problem. Which makes me wonder, when its a common problem, then its beeing reported by more people not few.
It seems that it only appears on 4K 30 AND 60 FPS, not on 1080p but I have to test that in the morning.
When I cant solve this problme, I will return the phone. I had the dilemma, which phone to keep (S10 +, S20 + or this one), i decided OnePlus but with this no chance.
Ok, I cleared camera apps cache and phones cache. After it didnt help at all, I did factory reset, it didnt help too. So I am out of options.

Is playback choppy? Or just recording.
FHD screen or QHD?
What OS? 5.4, 5.5, 5.6?
What video Size? 4K 1080, 60fps or 30
But more info mate
Both are choppy, recording and playback. It occurs in 4K 30, 60 FPS in QHD+, 120Hz, with the newest OS 10.5.6 from yesterday.
Hmmm, just tested the video and I don't seem to have this although I do get phone slow down and input lag. Perhaps they're related? Maybe I need to wait for the input lag and slow down for the video to go funny.

Yeah I got these stutters too sometimes idk what the cause is
It seems that either not many people have this problem or its not recognized from many of them.
I saw only few complaints on the net.

Ditto - Same here - no problem. Just setting up my phone, and have not messed with camera settings at all.
I am hoping for some solutions soon, I contacted the support too. Otherwise I have to return the phone. Which is pity, because I love it.

I think I notice it with HDR on, HDR off seems to improve it?

@Batfink33
When you have this problem, you would have already noticed it. It is very distinctive. HDR doesn't make any difference by me. However the lag seems to be more present with 4K 60FPS then with 30 FPS.
I been having this issue since day one. Sometimes framses drop to 10 and is very annoying. I contacted one plus and they suggested a replacement. They didn't have too many cases of the frame drop at the time but it seems they are all out of stock so a replacement will take awhile. Shame cause I think the phone is awesome.

My solution has been to use the latest gcam version. It supports 4k 60p now. It maxes out at 100mbps so you lose a little data rate. But I've been hearing about this black crush issue so may need to send it back
Are the people with stutter using the 12 or 8gb version?

I have 8GB version, but I saw in forums people having this problem with the 12GB version too.
On the site from OnePlus they are out of stock, but on Amazon you can order any version of the phone. I don't get it.
I will try gcam
Me too on 8gb, 10.5.6. Oneplus support advised to wait for a future software update. Tried hard reset, cache wipe, app cache clear, to no success......
