Firstly I'd like to say HELLO as I'm new user of forum
Yesterday I've hardbricked my G6. I was sure that I got H870 so I downloaded cfw for that model and when I tried to flash it via TWRP it showed that I got H872 version and it can't be flashed as it is for H870. I downloaded H872 cfw, flashed it with nor problem and thats all. Phone is not turning on, only thing that I can do with it is to plug it via cable to PC and see that in Devices Manager there is Quectel QDloader 9008 (COMxx). I've done more than 15h of research and I've found solution to wake it up with BoardDiag tool. I got ready extracted .TOT file but when I try to start whole proccedure I got "device was not found in dload trying flash programmer" error. In similar threads only solution I've found is opening phone and connecting 2 pins but I can't (and don't want to) open it. Is there any other method that can help me wake it up? Many thanks in advance, this stuff makes me crazy and I'm unable to use phone (don't have spare one )

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunally LGUP is not recognizing any device (just empty list, not unrecognized device)
When I hardbricked my LG G3 it happened the same. The only solution was making a shortcut in the procesor. It is not really difficult, the only problem is you need to open up the phone.

Are you using uppercut with lg up? LG UP on its own wont find the G6, you need uppercut installed and run via this to find your device.
If your computer is finding the device I cant see why uppercut wouldn't.

I have Uppercut v1.0.0.0 and it shows that 'There is no handset connected. Please, connect a handset(s)'
My LG UP version is 1.14.3
Drivers are of course installed (LG-Mobile-Driver_v4.2.0.0)
edit: if somebody knows how to do it and wants to help, I could share my TeamViewer data
ADB and fastboot installed?
Tried booting to recovery?
Hello there,
unfortunately your phone = scrap metal now.
Your only hope would be if some box vendor like infinity or octoplus, has managed crack the bootloader of your particular phone.
See if you can get service/remote service from anyone (or a business) who owns such box. Some msm8996 devices are supported it seems.
The current leaked versions of BoardDiag does not work on newer SoC's.

Why do you thing it's a 'scrap metal' now? PC detects it, my only issue is dload mode error which I can't get rid of.

Can you enter download mode or bootloader mode on the phone?. Does ADB sees your phone as connected device? Can you post some pictures.

I can't enter nothing, phone got black screen and does not react to anything. It is charging (battery died tonight, I connected it to charger for 2 hours and now PC is detecting it) and it's only this. All screenshots I could do are posted in my 1st post (quectel qdloader 9008 in devices menager)

I dont understand, how did you hard brick your phone?
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/forum.x...opment/guide-fixing-hard-bricks-t3403868/amp/
You also need G6 tot files as the guides tot files are for the L70 I believe.
Were you able to solve your problem? I am in a similar situation (see below)
"After trying to update my LG G6 (H870DS) via LG Bridge I got a bootloop issue, with no possibility to go out (even a hard reset was impossible to perform). Then I tried to flash the device using LG Up and stock KDZ file, which result in a cryptic error message in my PC, and a device sudden death. Phone it´s 100% dead, LG Bridge/ LG Up don´t detect the phone, I can´t turn it on (not even download mode). I tried to charge the phone, it becames slightly hot (hope signal?).
I can't even find the qualcomm device in the windows device manager. I think I tried to flash the wrong KDZ File:
I flashed H870DS10m_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_1019.kdz
and now I think that the correct kdz File for my H870DS HONG KONG was: H870DS10b_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_0406.kdz
Uppercut and ADB are not detecting my G6 either.
The thing is that, for several reasons, I have no warranty, that means I have nothing to lose and I am ready to open the phone, shortcircuit the processor or whatever it could work. Any suguestions what to do now in order to bring the phone back to live?"
i fix my hard brick qualcomm 9008 with octoplus pro jtag on my h871, nobody know how to fix hard brick for any lg g6..and this is horrible! and i ask my self how is that possible that we cannot found a solution for debrick the lg and after how is that possible that there isn't any kdz for the h871 model
if the device it's not even recognized in my PC, do you think your method will work? Bootloader is locked (everything it's stock)

Hey guys,
Bare with me please as I am fairly new-ish to Android but have some experience with Samsungs, HTCs and the beloved LG GT540.....
I appreciate if anyone can help me on my plight.....
My girlfriend was running Cyanogen Mod for the last year or so on her device and decided that she wanted to try out a different ROM on her phone....
I wanted to install the Oxegen ROM....
Originally I was thinking it would be easy and I could put it on through Clockwork Recovery and flash the zip no problem, for some reason when I rebooted to recovery clockwork would not load up on the device.... just blank screen....
Not content with this, bored on a Sunday afternoon I gave it a couple of hours of my time and in the process messed my girlfriends phone up....
What I did was I tried flashing back to stock using the LG KDZ updater, that was fine and the phone rebooted and has since stuck on the Android logo....
According to this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078745&highlight=stuck+on+android+screen I gave all this a go and I can not get the device showing up in Fastboot, I can not enable USB debugging on it either as I can not get into the phone to tick the box....
In my cmd prompt I am seeing this :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
In my device manager when my device is connected and powered on I am seeing this :
When I am connected and the device is in "download mode" my devices are like this :
I understand the steps provided in the link above and I am fairly confident I could do them if I can get the device "seen" in Fastboot....
I have installed and re-installed all the USB drivers in hope that it may be a driver issue, now I am wondering is it maybe my OS? Win7 64Bit Ultimate?
I can try it on XP netbook if thats all thats causing my issues....
I am kinda lost now and wondering have I bricked it? It will be the first phone I have if thats the case....
Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot guys....
Mods if this is in the wrong area, please feel free to move my post.....
did u go to fastboot (power+camera pressed when booting up).
well, from my experience, if i flash incorrectly (via fastboot or recovery), it will go bootloops or go to clockwork, or if i flash incorrectly via kdz, i've got stuck in LG logo or got linux kernel panic.
it seems to me u've flash kdz incorrectly. flash kdz with fastboot mode via download (or emergency mode).
try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13184840&postcount=42
and make sure u already install all LG drivers (u can Google those).
gud luck. if else fails, put a very sad and stupid face, act as u dont know anything, bring the phone to the LG representative in ur town.
idk for 64 bit version as i use 32 bit. u can try find pdanet driver, there is 64 bit driver there and it install fastboot well in PC.

Fastboot and ADB works on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I installed LG Drivers then Google USB Driver. It worked then. But I know I did struggle to finally get it working.
Thanks a lot for the advice and replies guys....
As I said, I think my problem lies in not being able to tick the USB debugging option on the phone as I can not boot into the phone to do so....
Is there a way to enable USB debugging over ADB?
As I said, I can "see" the phone responding to ADB, just not fastboot!
I am in the process of installing everything and starting fresh on the Xp netbook, if this fails I would say its new phone time for my g/f, Sony X8 is 80 euro on our network so if the worst comes to the worst I will get her a new one....
Much appreciated guys and if anyone has anything to the thread I will be all ears...
Cheers!

i think u got it wrong.
read here: http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=Fastboot and here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Fastboot
first of all, i need to ask u the question (again), can u boot to fastboot (or bootloader) when u pressed power (the reject/red phone button) and camera button altogether? the fastboot screen in the phone will be like black screen, but with a little amount of backlight (u'll notice the difference) or blue screen with texts if u flash a kdz-modified-fastboot. if u cant go to bootloader/fastboot, then u need to flash a kdz with fastboot.
u can try this: when u type adb devices, type: adb reboot bootloader
though im not sure if ur gf's phone has fastboot/bootloader (might be missing during the kdz flashing that u've done).
when u type adb devices
m1st3r1 - if you ever come to Dublin, I will buy you a beer!
After nearly 3 days of pulling what hair I have left on my head out, my problem was I was mistaking Fastboot for Download mode.....
I was connecting the phone holding the volume down so it came up "download mode" now all I did was hold the camera + red button and off it went with the command from the post above....
I feel like an idiot, but im a happy idiot right now.....
Thanks a lot, means a lot to me.... (and my girlfriend!)

If I hold the power button for 10 seconds, it goes black. Then when I press it again, the lines move about like its a broken splash screen.
Really, really appreciate anyone that can help get me back to a working phone - I'm using a mac.
Thanks.

So when you turn it on your phone after turning off you don't see the LG screen but only the lines? or only in the recovery?

Just tried that - it switched the phone on - the lines moved around again then settled into the screenshot.
Do I need the drivers installed on a PC for this to work? I tried it on a mac with Android File Transfer.

Unfortunately I can't get to the dialer to get my IMEI. I know they used to be under the battery but thats obviously a no no on the g2.
Regardless, I found the .kdz here http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G2/Stock/Hong+Kong+D802/
Installed the drivers, LG Flash Tool 2014, attempted to put my phone into Download mode (The phone has the grey lines in different places) but the PC still doesn't recognize the phoen when I plug it in and the flash tool cannot read the phone also.
Any other suggestions please? Thanks.
You may also try the tot method.
Can you recognize if the image behind the lines is small (centered on the screen) or a larger one ?
Because it might be that you've got blue circles, which are shown prior to entering the actual download mode..

I don't actually know if its going into download mode or not. I've taken another photo as below which shows what my phone looks like when plugged in, the lines move around like an animation to start of with then settle in this position - there isn't actually anything behind the lines. It's almost as if the screen is messed up and the pictures aren't displaying correctly. I seriously doubt it is a hardware issue as it was working just fine before using AutoRec.
Just so annoyed at myself for doing this so soon after I got it -_-

2. hold volume up and connect to pc
3. flash kdz

IF anybody resolved this issue please help with the steps

Where did you buy the phone? Some online sellers combine parts from all variants and sell refurbished phones under D802 so when you flash it bricks your phone.
Do you have IMEI on box?

Hi folks,
Did LGUP flashing stopped midway and left your device soft bricked? Using this simple tip you can revive your device.
Here is the procedure,
Download and install LG drivers and LG BRIDGE
Boot your phone in download mode while connecting to PC
LG Bridge should detect your phone
Now goto "Software update" section
Right hand side to the bottom of the UI, you will find "update error recovery", click on it
{

The only reason is the wrong version of SuperSu. Maybe I use custom made SuperSu for OnePlus 3T.
Before I flashed that SuperSu Zip file using TWRP there is no such problem. Only after flash SuperSu cause this issue .. ?
Before this flash, LG G2's is a new fresh install custom LineageOS for LG G2. Everything is OK. Only no root access. TWRP already installed.
LG G2 still can go to Download Mode as shown by holding the power button and connect USB cable to PC. But the problem is the PC & laptop cannot install the required driver properly. I think I've tried installed/reinstall all the suggested drivers but to no avail.
I even cannot enter the recovery mode using the key combination. When the phone is power on, it will continue to show that Boot certification verify alert.. Ermm ...
Just now just praying PC / laptop can detect and use tools installed on my computer to get to boot into the recovery mode. But is it still possible?
Or this totally means that I will never can use my LG G2 anymore?
Thanks guys.

wtf same thing happend to me
This happened to me too once.
Security error normally means that you should have flashed bumpboot.zip after supersu.zip.
You should still be able to get into TWRP (PWR+Down until Logo appears, then Up+Down).
Some LG drivers seem to miss something. Try older versions or alternative generic ADB drivers.
TOT method always worked for me in the end.
Install SRK Tools to fix boot partition. After that, you could enter in download mode easily.
Edit: LinageOS have your exclusively SuperSU. Next time, install the proper version in lineageOS Website. That problem happen to me, same problem...
Thanks to all.
But whatever fix you suggested, first the laptop/PC needs to detect the phone and install the driver correctly first right?
That is where I'm stuck now.
Even my office laptop also have the same problem, cannot install the driver properly.
Any help?
Thanks.

Install SRK Tools to fix boot partition. After that, you could enter in download mode easily.
Edit: LinageOS have your exclusively SuperSU. Next time, install the proper version in lineageOS Website. That problem happen to me, same problem...

And if the laptop still cannot recognized my LG G2 properly, can I still proceed?
Thank you.
Latest status at my office laptop...
I have tried numerous drivers but to no avail.
Any help?
Thank you.
I mananged to get into this when I let the phone boot with a totally blank and black screen...
Any help with SRK Tools in this case?
Thank you.
Thank you so much guys.
Yes this SRK Tool is really amazing - https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/tools-srk-tool-useful-toos-lg-root-twrp-t3079076
I can now get back into recovery mode and most importantly my computer can detect my phone!! Thanks a lot.
But now it seems that my Lineage OS has become corrupted and I don't think I want to install it anymore because the display is very poor in brightness.
So my next question is with such condition ie improper Lineage OS installation on the phone right now, how do I get back to the latest stock OS.
How do I start?
Thank you so much for the help.
After flashing SuperSU do as @MB525 suggests, flash Boot Image Bumper/ bumpboot-v1.0-blastagator-signed.zip
http://www.gregtwallace.com/lgg2-projects/miscellaneous/
This needs to be done with Magisk too.
Same thing happen to me

Hello I recently bought mi a1. First time using xiaomi or aosp kind of devices. I didnt know anything about fastboot, adb etc. Thanks to xda users learned it and open bootlock my phone. I flashed twrp magisk etc and working flawlessly. After oreo update i want to clean flash my device. Since first time using android to now i always made a clean flash to my phones when changing roms or updating major updates. I think this time is the beginning of my agony When i flashed oreo and factory reset the device stuck at first time opening. I waited about 10mins more or less and a bit hasty i turn off my phone. When i turn on the device keep bootlooping to twrp. I have done a thing seen in a thread that i couldnt remember now i will add when i found it.
Now my device doesnt respond to any buttons. No power off no power off + volume up etc. all the combinations No fastboot no adb etc.
*When i plugged in to my pc white led keeps blinking. I searched google about it i thinks its in EDL mode.
When i look at the device manager it says Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM6)
When try to flash fastboot room via xiaomiflash it couldnt read hello packet and says Can not read from port COM6
When i use eMMC DL Tool for Customer ENG v5.2.0 R it says Failed to connect phone
When i use QFIL 2.0.1.1 it says sth about sahara. ( i try to flash now but it no errors however nothing on phone.)
Rom i try to flash is tissot_images_7.12.19_7.1

Oh, I know that feeling of having bricked one beloved device or at least thinking it is bricked. So I did some new year's digging for you and maybe found a way to help.
Assuming your bootloader is still unlocked and it is really the EDL mode (at least it sounds a lot like it reading the info you have provided) you should have still some good chances.
Please follow this tutorial found here: http://en.miui.com/thread-294318-1-1.html
And for flashing the firmware you are looking for, please have a look at my thread over here, which leads you to the best suited download package of version 7.12.19, that I could find:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/ota-official-fastboot-image-n2g47h-7-12-t3728929
So give it a go, good luck & please provide your feedback here.
Maybe it can help others too
Edit: I guess the part which is probably the most important is the qualcomm driver
hello thank you for help however i almost tried everything that could be tried. nothing happened. i sent my phone to service. hope they would repair with no additional cost.
