Hi,
People on the other end of the line always 'complain' about background noise on my side. Even the slightest noise in the room can be heard over the phone.
When I make a call on a train station the background noise is also very loud. I'm not used to these complaints with previous phones. My old Nexus 5 for example never recorded background noise or at least filtered it out perfectly. What is your experience? And is there anything I can do to improve noise cancellation?

I got my Google Nexus 4 yesterday. Today, when I was making call, I noticed mild buzzing noise from the phone speaker. I thought it was due to the call, but i could hear it even when I was not in a call. I then rebooted the phone, the mild buzzing sound was still there.
The noise does not seem to be there when the phone screen is locked, but as I press the power button, I can hear the noise.
I don't hear the noise in the headphones though. I was not charging the phone when I heard the noise.
Does anybody else have this issue?
I have this too. It's a low buzzing sound coming from the ear speaker even when the phone is on lock.
This is already being discussed here

When recording video, the audio leaves a lot to be desired. Constant crackling and breaks in audio, onset by presumably LG's noise cancellation algorithms.
Try it for yourself. Record a video of you counting from 1 to 10 with a few gaps in between and you can hear the noise cancelling go full retard. But when you use a voice recording app like EVR, no problems occur due to noise cancellation being no where nearly as aggressive to fluctuations in sound.
I noticed that when making phone calls, when people talk, background noises become loud.
I have done tests using LePro3/iPhone, and LePro3/LePro3, iPhone/iPhone and LePro3/LePro3(CDLA).
The LePro3/LePro3 pair gave me the worse experience, loud background noise.
Tests from iPhone/iPhone and LePro3/LePro3(CDLA) returned very high quality voice calls.
I guess it could be some issues with mic/speak of the phone itself, could be hardware or just software problem.
Anyone of you has the same feeling?
i got electric noises on the back, just get used to it
i have similar issues on both the Pro3 and S3. odd mic issues that are super exacerbated when doing video calls on hangouts or duo
One thing I noticed from my recordings is that this phone uses noise supression on most microphones, but the built in one in the default sound recorder app. Noise reduction reduces the sound quality quite a bit, so I'd like to see if it can be bypassed.
Guys, this is just annoying. I struggle with the echo, I have already tried everything that is possible: and turned off the noise reduction in build.prop, and changed the values in audio_platform_info.xml, and unscrewed the screws at the bottom.
Turning off the noise during a normal call certainly helps, but you have to forget about all the loud communications and video calls, because there the speaker begins to wildly quack at the interlocutor when I say something.
This problem is already 100 years old. Has nobody really come up with a solution. Talented programmers are sitting here, tell me, is it possible to make the noise switch only on the speakerphone?
