Hi, I recently got to test another S8 from a friend that also got it, and while using it I noticed that the vibration motor was just stronger, as well as the haptic feedback with the pressure sentitive home button. On day to day use I hadn't noticed that the vibration motor had weakened, but when I tried a brand new S8 I recalled that my phone gave me the same strength of vibration on it's first days. I tried putting the vibration to the max in settings but it didn't get to the level of the new S8. Thoughts? I encourage you to go try a brand new S8 to see if this is something common among S8's.

So I bought the Vibrant on the day it came out. For the first 2 weeks the haptic feedback was very strong when it was at the highest setting. Now, at the highest setting, the feedback is barely noticeable when you press one of the four buttons.
Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm past the 14 day return/exchange. What should I do?
Doubt it would work, but set it to the lowest settings then back up again, maybe it lost it somehow?
If not call customer care and ask for a warranty replacement.
So I have this phone a week or more now and I have been having no issues whatsoever except for the battery timing being very low which I have came learn how to use more efficiently reading guides however I've come across a new problem..a problem that seriously driving me crazy
First of my phone hasn't been accidentally dropped or suffered any shock
So I've been texting and typing a lot with the phone and I loved the feeling of its haptic feedback which was very strong I think the intensity was maxed out but since last night I've been feeling it weird to type messages on it and I realized the phone hasn't been vibration back strong enough on its feedback and now vibrations is so weak It is really killing the joy, at first I felt that may be I'm being paranoid and nothing is wrong with it but after a good night sleep I am still feeling its Not intense enough for me,
I tried the screen test and the phone vibrates like a beast! but when ever it comes to using the keyboard the vibration is so low, on the intensity options the phone vibrates strongly but on keyboard its very low! I can't figure out what the problem is the vibrating is fine with other things but not with haptic feed back.. anybody know what I should do? is it a software or hardware problem? Its my first smart phone and touch screen experience and its really got ruined...
-edit-
Okay just found out something new when I used the Swype keyboard the haptic feedback got stronger so that means this isn't a hardware problem? but if its a software problem I have no Idea whats wrong with it cause I haven't done any updates on it, have reset the phone plenty of times but no avail..
Same here, except that I have used CyanogenMod ROM ( worked fine ) then restored a stock, KI3 backup. After restore I have the same behavior as you. I'll try to switch back to CM to see if helps
D: God the feedback is making it feel..so cheapish like it had a very strong vibration now it feels as if the vibrator inside is broken or something very light is vibrating..
in the start I was feeling the vibrations very weird like as if the vibrator isn't fit in the phone right but after I put the phone through vibration test the vibrations didn't have this jerkish feeling to them but now they are soo low and on swype God it feels so good but I hate using that keyboard .
CyanogenMod works fine, switching back to stock no. At least seems to be software issue
Hi,
Most of the time my phone is on vibrate during office hours but when ever i get a message or a call the vib is so low that i dont notice...
Any solutions
Thanks

Increase vibration intensity.
settings > sound > vibration intensity.
After i dropped my Note, i realized that the vibration was decreased. The flexible ribbon from the vibration motor was damaged.
I installed a new vibration motor yesterday and all is perfect now.
Maybe same thing happened on yours.

Wow, DIY stuff ? How did you do that?
There are many tutorials on YouTube about disassembling GNote, in fact is not difficult at all. The vibration motor is just beneath a circuit board and it should take only 15 minutes to change it.
The probability to screw up something is almost null
Got it from another thread. Now this is a sure-warranty-void stuff!
Its not that my phone doesnt vibrates its just im not satisfied with the intensity...

Hi guys,
i bought my s4 the day one and it works great for now  but i have a question on the device's vibration. It looks like stronger than s3, so strong that during vibration seems that plastic parts vibrate Is it normal? It looks like an electric razor xD :good:
Also found the Vibra is stronger on the S3
Might have a look to see if the flex/motors are the same and try a swap but not yet
yeh I found when i first got it the startup vibrate (can that be turned off by the way?) was really strong and sounded/felt unpleasant.
Have turned down the haptics and vibrate in settings and now its ok. Except that startup vibrate is still intense.
there is vibration settings, you can choose rhythm (not sure if it's the correct word) and the strength of vibration. just try that

Hi
It seems to be normal! Unfortunately. Some plastic parts vibrate even if you lay the phone on the table... Just knock on the chassis with your finger an the phone vibrates....

I agree with you, on my device happens the same thing, the color of mine is White Frost.
But a friend of mine has bought the phone (color Black Myst) some days ago, his device's vibration isn't strong and knocking on the chassis with a finger doesn't make the phone vibrate.... Should us be worried for ours?
Thank you for your replies.

I know this topic is oldish but I also have one question.
Does your gs4 vibration make a kind of broken sounding noise? I don't know how to describe the noise but it's like if some part inside is loose.
When I hold the device firmly it vibrates normally. I removed the cover and pinpointed the noise source, seems to be the camera or the sim/SD slot.
It's rally bad when you start the device and it vibrates once, or when you spam press the bell or heart beat vibration preview in settings.
It's also just the first few milliseconds of the vibrate when it's really bad I think.
Do you guys have the same thing?
I got the same problem... Thought it was just me...

Is there any solution for the crackling sound coming from the phone when it vibrates??
Hello all!
Anyone else notice that the keypress vibration is insane when typing? I tried SwiftKey and lowered the vibration to its lowest setting and it stays the same. Also tried G Board and it's still the same. I switched the vibration under setting for touch to light but same issue..
Same for me. After rooting and installing a custom kernel...it's possible to adjust vibration via a kernel manager.
Same here. I just put in for an RMA thinking my vibrator is defective because the vibrator is way too strong to be good haptic feedback for the keyboard. Every other OP has very fine tunability for key pressing. The OP5 is over the top! Not sure now if I should proceed with the RMA or not....

Does your vibrator also have a "long decay" whenever its activated? Like when I get a call or press a key, the vibrator almost feels like a spring and it doesn't stop as quickly as it starts.
This is why I felt the my unit may be defective. But it could just be the nature of this new more powerful vibrator. I was just surprised that nobody else (and our reviews) mentioned it until this lone thread.
