Hi i want to know is there any way possible for us to manually enable quick charge on our device? since the chipset does support QC 3.0 maybe we can enable it through root editor or something?
As far as i know i can tell you you won't get over QC 1.0
i.e. 10W
Xiaomi didn't pay for qc 2.0

Do quick charge adapters work on LG Spirit 4G?
no is compatible... but wireless charge work nice with adaptador
IIRC our chipset supports it, but LG disabled it on this phone.
Our zenfone 3 is equipped with a USB type C port, they said its just a USB 2.0. Is this true?
If I peek down there I can see all the pins available, even the pins that are not in USB 2.0.
So what else can our port do? Can it do OTG? (probably).
How about video out?
I was curious about this too. Turns out it varies by model. For the ZE552KL at least, the port has USB 2.0 with QC 3.0 support and not much else. It has USB PD according to the rep I spoke with, but it lacks Thunderbolt, HDMI or Displayport out, and most other USB type-C features. Plugging in type A devices should work with an adapter though, USB OTG is a thing of the past (thankfully).
I know for a fact that the Zenfone 3 Ultra is the only Zenfone 3 with video out over USB-C.
im use cable otg usb type c to usb type A and connect HDD box but it's not action
it's connected to usb

ZE552KL does not support QC 3.0, even if it is listed on the Qualcomm list of phones that support QC (2.0) it supports no form of Qualcomm Quickcharge.

That could be many things, but make sure your adapter is the correct one and that the hard drive isn't drawing too much power.

There are more posts from Asus support rep's stating it does not support any type of Qualcomm QC but i don't have them handy at the moment.
No video out? That sux.
The "Play To" feature inside the phone can only be use when both phone and TV have access to internet.
I bought this powerbank mainly for the nintendo switch but it would be useful to charge my p10 plus as well, at least that was my idea.
Charging by using the standard USB-A ports on the powerbank would be not ideal (normal charge).
However, by using the USBC port it should trigger the PD and all the bells and whistles to activate the fast charge.
Now, this powerbank has a feature to make usb ports act as a passthrough, so long story short, the p10plus ask me if I want to charge only, going in mtp, midi ecc ecc (usual things).
Even if i choose the "charge only" option, it will stop charging after a second.
However, if I reboot the phone with the cable plugged into the powerbank it will get charge (fast mode) and it does not ask which mode I want to activate.
I've already tried playing around with developer options and whatever.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
I read somewhere that some phones, the P10/P10 Plus included, wouldn't support USB-C charging on the RAV power bank. Might be this phone lack USB-C power delivery? Or something with how RAV has configured things? Maybe someone else has a proper answer.
Edit
It was an article on Android Authority - https://www.androidauthority.com/best-portable-chargers-409078/
"Worth noting is that the USB-C charging isn’t compatible with every device that comes with a USB-C port like the OnePlus 5, Huawei P10, and more /.../ "
I know the device supports Quick Charge 3.0, but I have no idea about PD charge. Google didn't give me anything but a couple of sites showing the Le Max 2 does support it. My question is: given the USB Type.-C port, does anyone know if the device support Power Delivery? If the answer is yes, which cables and chargers are compatible (beyond Benson's approved ones).
Thanks.

Hi, i have a tab s6lite with Oneui 3.1 and android 11
Using an external usb-c hub dex won't connect to my hdmi monitor.
What should i do? Is there something i can do to make it work? Maybe with a rom?
thanks
Hi, I think you have already found the answer, but if anybody else would be looking for it, the answer is simple: unfortunately, Tab S6 lite has only USB 2.0 through the type-C connector, not USB 3.x, as the other S tablets do and as everybody would expect...
It's also unfortunate, that no review is mentioning this...

What model of USB-C hub are you using? When you plug it in, does it mirror to the monitor? If it doesn't, it's likely the hub, not the tablet. Not all of them are compatible with DeX.
Update: After doing some more research, it seems the Tab S6 Lite does not support Mobile HD Link (MHL). You can screen mirror via wireless (ChromeCast or MirrorCast), but DeX won't work.
Since it is hardware level, a custom ROM will not work.

Absolutely not true. The Tab S6 Lite is USB 3.x compatible. It is because Samsung didn't include MHL on its Sx Lite line of tablets.

Well, I expect the Samsung documentation doesn't lie too much: https://www.samsung.com/uk/tablets/galaxy-tab-s/galaxy-tab-s6-lite-blue-128gb-lte-sm-p615nzbebtu.
I also tested the USB speed, which is roughly about 30 MB/s, thus a bit above half of the theoretical limit of USB 2.0. It does not mean the port is not 3.x compatible (= possible to connect to USB 3.x ports...). However, it's really only USB 2.0, like on many cheap phones with type-C connector. And of course, as you have mentioned, MHL was not implemented in S6 lite's USB 2.0 port. If it would be USB 3.x, then it shall have (typically) HDMI-Alternate mode (it is true that there's no standard to this and it can support either HDMI or MHL or DisplayPort or ThunderBolt or neither of these ). And when the manufacturer would think about including MHL in USB 2.0 type-C port, then it makes technically better sense to go with USB 3.2 directly (as it uses the same number of wires and MHL or HDMI would need more hardware anyway and together it will bring more customers )... So that's why mentioning the USB 2.0 in datasheet makes sense and explains quite a lot (without searching for MHL implementation...).
Thanks for the correction. USB 2 is capable of screen mirroring. It needs MHL though.

there's some cables that use screencast over wire sounds a bit strange but it works relatively good, better than cast itself look at this:
