My le pro 3 drains extremely fast when I listen to music ( Spotify ) I normally use Bluetooth headphones
Never experienced this type of drain on my previous phone , zenfone 2
154 mah? I wouldn't worry too much atm. Give it a reboot, see if it settles.

I'm using 02 xda atom btw, and yes the battery does indeed turns hot and the degree of hotness is proportional to the cpu intensiveness of your application. If I play movie, listen music or wireless surf for sometime the phone gets rather hot due to the battery PARTICULARY WHEN I AM CHARGING... THAT MEANS I CANT PLAY MUSIC OR RADIO WHEN I AM CHARGING. IT BECOMES HOT AND THE BATTER INDICATOR SAYS 100 PER. THEN I HAS TO REMOVE BATTERY.....WAIT FOR SOMETIMES....AND THEN RECHARGE AGAIN WITHOUT LISTENING NOTHING.....
PLEASE REPLY----IS IT THE BUSTED DEVICE OR THE BATTERY.....DOES ANY ONE HAS THIS KIND OF ISSUES...I LL BE HIGLY OBLIGED FOR THE REPLY....Thanks a lot in advance.........
Soo, I'm experiencing very high battery drain trough Media Server.
When I click on it, it shows "Downloads", "Media Storage", "Download Manager" & "DRM Protected Content".
I'm currently running uXylon 2.9.0 (4.2.2) if it helps, while I haven't heard from anyone having the same problems.
The problem started ever since I installed Play Music, it suddenly starts consuming battery like a mad man,
when I uninstall Play Music, the problems seems to be solved, as Media Server stops showing a higher drain than my SoT
and I get overall better battery life, but even so my SoT usually caps at 2 hrs with sync off, gps off, nfc off...
I just don't get it, what's wrong? I used to get 4-5 hrs SoT, should I change ROM?
I am new to N4. I get around 2 hrs of SoT. ( with playing like max 10 mins of gaming - like subway surfer ). Most of the time, the phone is with 2G data, and whatsapp. That's it. what is wrong with my phone?
Settings->accounts/google/click name, untick sync google play music .. having it on makes any new song you put on your phone upload to the cloud.
For better battery, turn off all the crap, use low brightness for the screen.
I know the battery life is already pretty bad, but what are your experiences with battery life and bluetooth.
I will keep it in my pocket connected to bluetooth headset, without using the phone much.
Is the battery drain fast or is it slower?
In your estimation how much battery life do you get with bluetooth on listening to music.

it will drain faster obviously but there is nothing to worry about. For example i lose around 10 percent after 2 hours of music with a wired headset

I feel like the cover is going to break off, since putting in my pocket is not as easy as I would like.
It's always in the way and never flush, I'm using an L shaped cable.
I need maybe 5 hours max of music.
2 hours on bus to school, 2 hours back.
I can always have it charged while at school.
Should be able to get enough.
Everything you turn on will drain battery, but my phone is every day the whole day in my pocket, while connected to Bluetooth hands free in car and connected to TomTom navi using Bluetooth tether (for getting real-time traffic info on my data connection) and I'm pretty satisfied with battery life.
At the and of a whole day ive got still left 70%.
Hi,
I was using Google play music to listen to music, but that was draining my battery like 30% for about 2 he's of music(locally stored) it's never done that before. I switched to Pulsar with music stored on a SD card..but today I have 50% battery drain in 3 hrs just listening to music.
Locally stored music shouldn't drain a battery like this? Would clean wipe of the phone solve this issue?
Thanks

Did you even check to see if it was in fact play music that was draining your battery? It could have been something else completely unrelated. My brother had something similar that happened on his 6p and it turned out to be something to do with Gmail that got stuck syncing

Well, looking at the battery usage.. I see that Android system and Play music were the highest when used.. I never noticed that Play music sent and received data, I don't think that's normal.
Hi,
I'm running fulmics rom 3.5 on my LG G6 and while the battery life overall is pretty satisfying, it seems to drain it like crazy when listening to music. It's around 20 to 30% per hour.
According to Gsam the 4 biggest battery draining sources today are :
-Android system
-System (*wakelock*)
-retro music (my music player)
-System (*wakelock*) yes there are 2 system wakelocks
This is with my phone basically sitting with the always on display the entire day doing nothing except for 60min of music listening to get those stats.
When checking Wakelock detector the number one wakelock by far is retro music with "android.media.mediaplayer" being the one that's active the longest.
I installed fulmics with viper so I tried uninstalling the driver to see if it changed anything but it didn't.
I installed naptime but again it didn't change anything.
I tried playing music from the SD card and from the internal memory with no difference between the 2.
I wanted to give amplify a shot since I have xposed installed but for some reason it just refuses to work (every tab is just blank without a single wakelock or service displayed)
I tried several music players but all gave the same result.
So I'm kinda out of ideas. The only thing I can think of is to wipe and reinstall from scratch but that's a bit of a pain given all my two factor authorization apps would need to be reconfigured so if anyone has any other idea, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.
I'm using fulmics with stock music player. I get 0-2% drain an hour with viper installed.
Might be your music player app
Confirmed, change your player

Just re-enabled the stock player and left it to run for an hour with music and again 20% loss over an hour...

No idea then. I get great battery with music player.
Having the exact same issue on my g6, even after factory reset. Did you find a solution?
The app 'ForceDoze' fixed my battery drain music playing issues, and battery drain in general. No negative effects observed and it's been nearly 2 weeks! I use Amazon Music btw.
Edit: forgot to mention that the fingerprint scanner is less responsive for unlocking the phone from standby (often takes 2 taps or a long tap), but it's an easy tradeoff for me.
About 0.5% per hour. I'm on Fulmics 4.2 (I debloated about 100 useless apps and services) + Poweramp + V4A + ARISE Sound Systems with DIRAC installed. I'm listening only to Hi-res FLAC8 (yes, it matters too).
