Hi,
does anyone know how and where to change the registry to make the SMS delivery reports automatically crossed for every SMS on a MDA ?
I mean, not to have to each time go to options and activate the SMS delivery report for every SMS ( and eventually MMS ) to receive a receipt notification ?
Thanks for your help.

Hello everybody
I'm used to have a acknowledgment message when an SMS I sent has arrived, this is possible with the HD but must be checked on each time before I send my sms. This ofcourse is often forgotten and that bugs me . Can somebody explain me how/where to change the registry so that the acknowledgment option is allways checked unless otherwise instructed ?
Thanks!
try
SMS > All messages > Menu > Tools > Options > SMS \ MMS > Request delivery notification
Simple isn't it ?
Damn, I really should have found that one out myself. To easy probably
Thanks!!
although..it's not very useful!!
I recently ported my number from T-Mobile to O2. I was losing loads of messages and people were getting anoyed that I hadn't replied (to an SMS I never got). and tis happened even before the porting process began.
so, I sat there with one of them (who had delivery reports turned on) as he typed and sent the text. He received notification that the sms had been delivered..but it never arrived on my phone.
so hardly proof that an SMS gets to where it's suposed to be going.
hi there
in nexus one, i dont receive delivery reports for SMS even i enabled it in SMS settings !

You get one
Go into the SMS Application and hold down on one SMS, which you have sent---> There you see "DeliveryReport". Click on that ---> You can see the status
P.S.: Sry for my bad english
Thanks alot

Nice to hear.....at the first time i serached for along time, too
They don't actually work properly at the moment anyway, they report that the message got to the network OK, but not to the intended recipient.
What the N1 calls delievered, other phones call pending.
Hi all,
Well I just have a Samsung Focus as a gift from Nokia Develpper Training in France, and I would like to use it.
I succeed to unlock my phone with code they given me.
I succeed to put Mango on it, BUT now I haven't got delivery SMS options to autorize to receive delivery message on delivery SMS.
I usually look for this options in Settings > Applications > Messages menu.
Does anyone know why have got this problem ?
Thank you very everybody for your help.

As I said here, AT&T rom doesn't support sms delivery notification.
However, each carrier has a specific code/character sequence that if put before the message will give you a delivery report.
Read here for the specific codes for each country/operator.
Hi,
To start, I would like to thank you for your help.
If I understand well, you think that I have got an AT&T rom in my phone.
I supppose you are right because I do nothing to change this.
My question is so : Do you think it is possible to change it and if yes how can I do such a thing ?
Thank you very much again for your help,

Unfortunately, I don't know any way to enable it.
As I've answered faced this in the past as well and didn't get an answer either, I've started a thread in the WP7 general area, here.
So let's see if we find someone guru enough to help us.
enable Sms Delivery Confirmation on AT&T Focus

Hi guys
I'm using our good old Galaxy Spica with CyanoGen 6.3. My issue is that I need an accurate (to the minute) timestamp when an SMS was sent and delivered. So far I have tried Go SMS, Handcent SMS, Delivery Reports+ and few other apps - the first two show delivery report time equal to sending time even if the actual offset is like 5 minutes (tested by sending messages to my other phone while it was off) and the third app didn't even want to work.
So my question is: does anyone know either an app or hack that would allow me to get accurate delivery report times?
