Hello, my leeco has a break in the screen and the touch keys do not work anymore. If I buy a generic brand screen and not the original one, will I still be able to use custom ROMS?

Of course. There's no reason a generic screen won't let you use custom roms.

If touch screen doesnt work I dont think you can.
I have the exact same problem. After the latest update on my black tmobile G2 (d801), my touchscreen does not work at all. I had to get an OTG cable and connect a mouse to it to unlock the screen and do anything w/ the phone. Have done a factory wipe, as well as reflashed multiple different images, including reverting back to stock. Nothing works.
I found some programs that can make you control your mobile though PC but all of it needs a client to be installed on the phone, is there anyway to bypass this client or give a command to unlock the screen , wifi is turned on the mobile?
Hey there,
My LG D802 32GB just fall out of my car and the complete Display is bricked (I think Digitizer is also harmed) and I am not able to touch anywhere.
I know a lot about fastboot, adb and so on. But I do not really know much about this device, since I hadn't got the time to do so, too busy with other stuff. Unfortunately I disabled USB debugging a week ago after I finished some development stuff. And I just want to make a new backup (last one was a few weeks ago ) of my data before I try to repair anything or buy a new one.
I do not know why, but I cannot enter Stock Recovery (just keeps rebooting), Download Mode is working. Phone is also booting normally, just no way my fingers are recognized.
I tried to enter Recovery Mode (stock), to perhaps have adb access (don't know if it is so on d802), with Volume Down+Power, release when Logo appears and then press again, USB Cable was connected. I know i entered it once after buying this phone, but now I am not able to do so. Are there any special drivers which are perhaps missing (installed them with PC Suite, all upgrades were done with it, cause I do not like OTAs for several personal reasons).
Thank you very much for reading it and perhaps helping me!
just want to add something:
Also tried with LG Onscreen Phone, but also deactivated ...
Some recoveries can be used only with hard keys. Or use a mouse to navigate
Thank you for this great idea. Just ordered an OTG adapter.
What do you mean with hard keys? Volume Up/Down ?

Hi,
I have two galaxy s5 g900f, one with broken display and touch dosen't work right, and in the other one all works correctly.
I want to save all my data with samsung smart switch from the broken one, but there is a lock pattern. The display it is all black and the touch are crazy I alredy try to use a mouse to unlock but I can't unlock it.
The ways are two I think...or a way to flash the lockscreen bypass zip through odin because the touch are crazy and I can't use a touch recovery...or a non touch recovery...someone can help me?
Thank you

I wasn't able to enable usb debugging through adb in recovery mode...I have root and philz touch recovery...
Someone can help me?
Another way is to flash a file with adb sideload, but I can't enable it in a touch recovery, there is a way to enable it without using the key or a way to disable the touch in recovery?
Thanksss
Hi guys,
i tried searching the forums, but i can seem to find a solution (if it exists) to my specific problem.
The story is that i had broken my touch screen to the point where only about 1,5 - 2 cm from above are working. I am stuck at the screen where i have to enter the password to decrypt and start android, but i can't press those buttons.
So, the question is: is there any possibility at all to access the data on the phone? Some way to externally control the phone? Would ADB work in this situation?
Thank you in advance for the help.

Well, if you had a custom kernel flashed, using USB OTG and a mouse could help you get your stuff back.
i don't think i had a custom kernel, i didn't modify anything in the phone. It was not rooted.
So i was able to enter the menu from where i can choose recovery mode. Is there any way to proceed from here?
I tried to use ADB, but it won't see my phone, neither does fastboot. Maybe i didn't install Nexus 4 drivers, since windows told me that the device is not properly installed, when i connected it in recovery mode.
first of all, i'm sorry if i'm posting this o the wrong section (i'm new here seeking help)
second, I NEED HELP!
i tried using Dr. Fone for recovery and unlock but i'm getting "flash recovery packaged failed" on the end. when on recovery device mode, i can hear the new device/unplugged sound.
if only i can use OTG and mouse to enable USB debugging. but obviously i cant see. when i open the phone normally and try using screenshot, i can hear the sound. so that means that my phone is not dead and only have broken lcd/screen. i also cant open the device folder because its locked (i think its locked). i also looked some class a ldc/screen digitizer but its kinda expensive and going to technician doubles the cost. from this point, i don't know what to do anymore. i just want to get important pictures and video. been trying to find a solution for hours.
I have not seen a method to enable USB debugging without a working screen.
