adb -h gives this and more: :good:
Code:
app installation:
install [-lrtsdg] PACKAGE
install-multiple [-lrtsdpg] PACKAGE...
push package(s) to the device and install them
-l: forward lock application
-r: replace existing application
-t: allow test packages
-s: install application on sdcard
-d: allow version code downgrade (debuggable packages only)
-p: partial application install (install-multiple only)
-g: grant all runtime permissions
uninstall [-k] PACKAGE
remove this app package from the device
'-k': keep the data and cache directories
Cool. Thanks for the great info. Are there any commands to check the NFC status, Enable disable?
Looks like wear24 watch has NFC but it is not enabled.

If it it was my watch, I would check here if it was me trying to find that kind of info on that watch, since using that I found this. Since I do not have that watch, good luck finding what you need, or maybe someone else here knows.
Again, type
Code:
adb --help
in a terminal to get all command switches.
hmm interested in this also. may pick one up for testing
they are $75 on woot today
just bought it $79 from Ebay. hoping someone can hack it. Android pay is the most important one, since this watch has LTE, GPS, and NFC, etc.
Anyone have a link to the Android Pay for Wear APK? I have my Wear24 and I'll try to install it.

Interested in this also. The wear24 seems a rock solid hardware, unfortunately software is crippling, I am also willing to experiment on this. When i connect the watch to computer, it just charges. Is there a way to make it connect like a file system for transferring files?

straight forward way would be to use debugging to push and install files.

You have to use ADB over WiFi since there is not direct USB connection available. Pushing it pulling apps over WiFi is pretty easy and I used to do it on my of Moto 360. Way easier on the Huawei watch

I can't find the Android Pay for wear APK. You have any idea where to get it? I can push it via ADB once I find it.
Did you have any luck with this?
Alright, so i am willing to do it, but I need to know where to get the Android Pay application to push to the watch, and what commands.

Did any of you get android pay working with Wear24 watch?
I'm assuming the android pay apk is completely different from the smartphone version?
Does anybody here happen to have access to a watch with android pay? If so, they could pull the package via adb so someone could test it.
adb pull /path/to/package-name.apk path/to/desired/destination
I ordered one yesterday off of techrabbit, but this'll be my first android wear device. Coming from a PTS since fitbit recently announced it's death.

Real HBO + more = Free

http://www.shadownet.info/channels/usa/hbo.html
You can also Google shadow.net and get the whole list of channels that are free and work with flash. I recommend that you download tv listings from the market and put in a east coast area code because almost all the American channels are on eastern time. I use 10001 and get the listings for time warner in southern Manhattan uncheck all then select the channels you want. this is the real deal HBO so you can watch boxing and NFL programs (documentaries).

Nice job
Just tested on Motorola Droid 1 overclocked from 250/800 the flash posted here plays audio like its being played in Slow mode. But the other flash fix the ones that's 3mb works great! Audio is clear and picture is nice only problem is that the video is choppy. Probably due to hulu player, flash, memory or cpu speed. Video on megavideo works and looks great. So I just think its the hulu player it self its having problems with. It maybe hulu player uses more memory or needs a better graphic card or processor to played? Idk I'll use this till hulu is done with hulu plus app for android. But if I could get this running flawlessly on droid that will save me 7 bucks a month which would be great. Keep up the Good work
Update : Just change kernel on cm running CPU at 350/1000 with no reboots and video runs flawlessly. Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Good job man audio is in sync its perfect just needed Alil more power and bam! . Uses about 60 MB out of the 100 I had available starting off so pretty good only thing is if I run out of memory the flash cuts off and I have to restart any ideas?

thats really excellent, no more ball ache changing app icons
It works! This is exactly what I needed to do with a few widgets from some apps (their icons and label) but didn't have all that much time. Simply changed some widget icons/labels inside an apk, installed the apk and it works. Well done and thank you!
I install the apk by manually pushing it to the SD card though. The built-in barcode functionality doesn't work as expected. My phone browser can't open the generated link.

Cool, tnx for trying and replying.
Whaha, that rhymes! Sweet
Happy to hear it served you when needed
For now its barcode function will only work correctly if your phone is on the same network as your computer (so with wifi enabled.)
Maybe that's the limitation you encountered?
Thinking of ways to bypass this limitation, but have to keep in mind some security related aspects.

Hmm, should work without usb.
That was one of my design goals.
Yesterday had some similar problems trying to change system apk's.
Not sure yet, but the browser didn't accept the connection either.
Some technical background:
In the background it's nothing more than a temporary striped down C# webserserver hosting the apk file until it has been downloaded. So purely http here

Since the server runs on the local host without a client service/app or permission to the client, I don't think you can do that. I could be wrong but that's like Simple File Sharing in Windows (which I have disabled). Your network subnet access and those ports would be required to be open. I think the option would work if you had a client side app/service (for the phone) but then that would be like adbWireless
The adbWireless option runs fine with your app though. I actually just pushed in some Android files using it, no problem

True, your firewall needs to accept incoming connections to the program.
Problably vendor specific, but my build-in windows firewall asked me the first time I run the app if I would like to add it to its exeption list.
Be aware: the server will choose a random port every time it runs.
The client you are talking about would be the browser on your phone, It should automatically be activated when you scan your barcode (all free barcode scanners I know of have this capability in them).
Yep, the browser does open but doesn't recognize the link (no access basically). The generated link itself is valid because I can download it if I use the computers net connection over USB.

Android Market v3.1.3
Requirements: for all devices with Android OS
Overview: New Android Market / Adds +1 For Apps And Games, Pin Number For Purchases, And More…
(for all devices – does not require root, but you do need to enable ‘Unknown Sources‘ in Settings-> Applications.)
Changelog
- Adds +1 For Apps And Games
- Pin Number For Purchases
- And More…
Info:
There’s a brand-new settings menu, as well as click-to-read explanations of app permissions (not developer customizable, unfortunately). There’s also a brand-new Market icon to spruce things up.
Oh, and did we mention you can now use a custom PIN for purchases on your phone, instead of leaving your Google Checkout wide open for anyone that picks up your device? If you have kids, or your phone is stolen, this is one awesome feature to have – and really, it makes a lot of sense.
You can get the new Market .apk here, root access is not required, but you’ll need Unknown Sources enabled in the Settings -> Applications menu to install it.
Installation Guide:
1.Download the apk from the links
2.put the apk on the phone ,don't use adb install *.apk in won't work it will say it already exists
3.Open the apk from the phone using a File explorer (ASTRO for example)
4.it will ask you if you want to replace the current market,press yes.
5.wait for install and voila you have the new market
NOTE:this method replaces the old market.

Troubleshoot:
If you have download problem after Installing new market do this
" Connect your phone to your computer,
set in usb mass storage mode. Look for
a hidden folder called ".android_ secure"
and then delete the file
"smdl2tmp1 .asec". Unmount and you
should be good to go."

Thanks for this! 3.0 is a bit slow compared to the previous market. This installed no trouble and is running really really well on my Alpharev S-OFF rooted LeeDroid HD 3.3.5 data ++
Better than the previous 3.0.27 - performance wise.
It loads the screens faster and the download is faster on mobile network connection.

in my opinion 2.3.6 with slow mobile network is still 10 time faster
will the Desire update itself to this - as I am on 2.3.6 still and haven't moved automagically at all to either of the three incarnations of the marketplace... does it only roll out to newer (dual core?) phones?
has anyone seen it update itself without running the APK on any devices come to think of it?
anyone know how to make market update itself (silent update) to the latest version ?

Yeah! You're right! The 3.x market applications are very slow! When one starts the application, it runs almost OK, but gradually it runs slower and slower when the user browses through the applications. I wonder if Google plans to launch Android on PC! The vending application would run reasonably on a PC!

Wow,nice job bro,it looks amazing

Really slow!!! Anyway to speed up??
Speed is fine for me. But i am getting duplicate entry for this version, everything else is really neat.
Really like the new PIN function
It's great, thanks. I only have one problem, can't see paid apps. They just loading and loading ... Can see only free apps
is this in english, or does it install, in the same language as the previous market?
Runs well on cm7. Thanx alot my man top shizzle.

Looks good will update mine
Tried on latest CyanogenMod from git repo. Works.
i like the PIN feature..
Hi there,
didn't find, despite looking, any post regarding the watch I recently bought and about to receive, so take liberty to call for info if anyone has any.
The watch is sold in many sites as:
Z01 Android 4.2 3G Smart Bluetooth Watch 1.3GHZ MTK6572 Dual Core 4GB ROM Camera
Except for "Z01", no specific name or brand. The watch is merely described by its specs, as many other watches are.
The watch looks like this:

Does anyone have more details on it? Info on the producer / maker? I'm interested in the software it runs and the sources (I know it's gonna be hard to find any).
Update: been more lucky with my second attempt and finding more info on the Net.
Turns out this Z01 is actually the "DW08" by a Chinese company called something like DCool.
Cheers,
Ka.

@kast have you been on the Omate smartwatch forum to get more info about this watch?
There's also the Z8 thread too. This was sold as Z8 too.
As far as standalone watches this seems like the best option to date. The InWatch Z is better but costs too much for a 2G radio.
What is your experience so far?
Does it come with PlayStore?
How's the battery life?
And importantly how does it work with notifications?
One issue was it wasn't secure.
Would be great if someone could port that watchface to Zgpax.

Hi there,
after a few days with it, can say I'm relatively pleased. Ok, watch is definitely "bulkier" than what the picture in the online store might suggests but it's working pretty well. With the watch forced in 2G, Wifi on (to connect when available) and moderate use, battery lasts about 1.5-2 days, which is pretty good, considering the wee battery it has.
No crashes or crazy reboots... Seems behaving quite nice. Too bad there is no way to get the kernel sources and hack it a bit.
It does come with the Play Store though and can be easily rooted.
Take care,
Ka.

Hi,
I also purchased the same watch phone named WP3 (...?).
I would appreciate some assistance:
First, how did you root it?
Second, is there a way to have widgets such as direct contact dial?
Third, in the watch AD. and checking with "Z Device Test" it "appears" as the watch has compass capability but practically it doesn't work... is it right?
Thank you in advance
George

I purchased an identical watch named "WP3" :
- It is waterproof
- Doesn't have FM radio
- Being waterproof - there are no inputs/plugs of any kind apart from 5 contacts that, using a special adapter, allows you to connect to micro USB.
- The only accessories are the special micro USB adapter and a tiny screw driver for SIM and SD card installation.

Rooting it is not that difficult as "adb shell" grants you a root shell.
With that you remount /system as rw:
busybox mount -o,remount rw /system
Grap the superuser update zip and extract it, then you adb push "su" to /system/xbin
remember to suid it (chmod 4755)
Then remount system ro:
busybox mount -o,remount ro /system
and install "superuser" or "supersu" from the store.
Those will update the su binary properly.
From memory, mind the steps

Thanks again,
I tried "SRSRoot" with no success - rooting was easy, the program indicated that the watch was rooted but the "Root Checker" concluded - "No Root Access".
On the other hand, I ran "RootGenius" - http://www.shuame.com/en/root/ (no setup needed) - and it went like a dream - couple of seconds and the watch was properly ROOTED (confirmed by "Root Checker") !!!!

Take care,
Ka.

Hello!
I'm happy to hear that the watch feels promising. Everything with it looks pretty good I'd say. I've been drooling for this watch for a few days now and I'm about to order one next week. I would like to have confirmation about some of the specs before buying if you have the time to answer.
1. Does it support sd card? There's not reference to it at dealsmachine dot com.
2. Where did you buy it yourself?
3. Does it have an audio plug? The site says it has 2.5mm audio plug, but I can't see it in the pictures. And the store would like to send a free headset with 3.5mm plug with the watch...
4. Does it get hot when used?
I know there's a lot of clones of this watch and it may have been sold by another name in different stores, but some of them could have some specs different. All in all the sd card support is the most important spec for me.
Thanks!
No need to answer anymore. I already ordered z15-model which seems to be roughly similar to the z01. I did check out some reviews of the site I was going to order the z01 and people didn't seem to be happy with it so I ordered elsewhere.
Z15 doesn't have support for sd cards either (unless there's a hidden slot under the "warranty void" back panel like some of truesmart...)
All the specs seems to be same as in the z01 except the form of the device is a little bit different.
Let's see what I'm going to get.

Yes, I received it safe and sound in about 2 weeks of time. Do yo want to know something about it? I could write up a little review about the watch.
Heya!
So as the title states, is/will it be possible to port Android Wear (maybe even Wear 2) over to the Ticwatch 2? Since the watch runs Ticwear OS which is based on Android we should have all the blobs/drivers available to run the same Android Wear version on the watch itself or am I wrong here?
Thanks already!
Hi all, I got my Ticwatch 2 today and I'm also interested in the possibilities. Anyone?

My Onyx just arrived. Check Kickstarter updates, they have a query page where you can enter your email and it spits out your DHL tracking number.
Furthermore, I'd absolutely love to turn this gorgeous, well crafted piece of hardware into a fully fledged Android Wear device.
Hope someone can!
I really hope someone can get it to work as well.

Ah well, still says "Final packaging" for me
I have a Snow and Onyx and am happy to help
Getting AW and or AW2 compatibility would be huge for this, a whole new rom... that might be a stretch but this place has had me hacking away at android for 4-5 years now at least, game on.

Anyone up for a TW2 subforum?
Maybe we could find some dedicated developers to get stuff going if we had one !

No, that's for the Ticwatch 1, not for the Ticwatch 2!

Oops, I did not read closely, just saw the Ticwatch and knew there was a thread. More coffee needed!
I would kill for a new android ROM to flash on this thing. I was hoping there'd be more chatter on this forum, but I guess it's to be expected considering it's just now ending up in people's hands.
If it allowed for the creation of an Android Wear-compatible Ticwatch 2, I'd lend my current one out to a respected developer here on XDA.
I have an onyx. I really love this watch but android wear would be more powerful -> native language, more apps etc.
Please! Make it happen
It would be great.
I would help as far as i can
Well, we have a chinese only Android Wear ROM so we'd have the drivers for the hardware possibly, but how easy will it be to port a normal Android Wear ROM over to it with those if even possible?
Well, my idea is porting the Framework and Launcher from wear to normal Android. Ok, my purpose is for a Phone ( Fun Recycling Project) but thats just Hardware difference

Activate developer mode to sync wear apps
Here's what an avid user from the FB Ticwatch 2 group found out: In the ticwear app, tap on the ticwear app's version number to activate developer mode. In "advanced settings" activate the "1024" option and then sync the apps. This also causes all wear apps to sync to the watch. Note that any apps that require a connection to the phone to sync data will not work properly. An example of a working app is Task Manager For Android Wear. Let's see what else we can discover!
This is a good hint. I activate it and now i have all my android-wear supported apps in my watch drawer. But they are not working. Eg. google maps:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I think it is just the "connection" part missing.
Because apps that dont need to be directly connected to the phone work well. like games
