X727 root - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Can the x727 be rooted I just want ad blocker that all?
Thanks
Sent from my F3213 using xda premium

Actually if all you want is an ad free browsing experience try Brave Browser or the Samsung Internet with Adblock plugin. However to answer your question yes it can rooted. There are also some good Nougat roms available. For battery life nothing beats stock though if you can live with the drawbacks.

After seeing reviews on it I believe a custom romantic is the way to go.
Unlock bootloader is fairly easy.
Sent from my F3213 using xda premium

Just use Firefox and the uBlock Origin add-on. Or get Adguard (the app, not the Samsung browser extension) or DNS66

I will say it was not easy to get it unlocked and rooted.
Was worth it I seen reviews not rating this phone well but I got to say it one yell of a phone.
I like this stock really a lot!!

New Android Market out now-link

Since when do we root users wait for anything?
New android market out here:

Install via adb or root explorer. It will install over the old market, FYI.
version 3.0.26
I've been using it for a couple of hours and man, the UI got one huge overhaul. I haven't checked out the new books and movies section much, but from what I've seen, Google put a lot of work into updating the market's image.

Anyone had any luck with the movies? I've seen some people say that rooted devices can't view the movies. If so, would there be a way to make it think you were unrooted while still maintaining root? Script or otherwise? Just curious.

Don't buy the movies. You can pay for them, but not watch them.

It's not merely because you're rooted. You hacked your framework and therefore can remove drm that the content providers have asked google to put in place.

download the file to your phone, go to 'downloads' folder and select the file, it'll install automatically and overwrite your current market app... no need to use root explorer or adb
edit: also is it just my phone or does the list of apps/games you're browsing through ('entertainment' apps for example) go back to the freakin' top of the list every time you download something? this gets very annoying the further down the list I get

First things to do with new zoom.

Hello guys and gals. I'm excited to get my zoom in the mail tomorrow from verizon. So I'm reading up on these forums to understand where everyone is at. I'm asking if any one would would he willing to give a quick check list of first things I should do when I get it. Then I can do some research based on your feed back and get it all set up. Thanks.

Download flash player from the market , then set your browser to on demand in the settings. Get feedly for your google reader or pulse, but I prefer feedly as it's much snapier. Download plume for tablet and friend caster for tablets.

One click is to much steps(irony right?)....
Do the catch recovery before reboot method which is really simple and easy. You get root and recovery at the same time.

Play with your xoom for a while then this. I would install the tiamat rom but I don't want to wipe my xoom.
I've decided to skip roms and tiamat or whatever. Looking at threads some are WiFi version only. Then some are different firmware version. I just want stock Verizon with whatever current version its at instructions. It's just to big of a mess for me to spend time digging through literally hundreds of posts researching on what should be closed threads restarted with fresh instructions. Not 4 month old threads. I'll just root adb, use setcpu, and wait for 3.2 uupdate. Then ill join in since ill know where other people are starting from.
It really is a mess. With my Droid x it was simple. A few ways to gain root and all the Roms nicely laid out ripe for the picking. Instruction clearly labled if you have firmware xxx do this, xxy do this. No wonder people are afraid to root. I am, now.

Ok I can't quit that easy. Looked at xoomforums. I think my whole problem was forum layout. Viewing this forum on their premium app jumbled everything together. Seeing everything laid out rom, kernels, ect, much easier. I'll go with launchpad 1.3 then try tiamat. At least I don't feel lost. As long I'm not browsing through their app.

I'd love to buy it but the greedy buggers at google have pulled all paid apps in Taiwan as a sneaky little blackmail attempt against the Taiwanese government. The local law here states that all consumers must have a 7 day money back guarantee if unsatisfied with a product, google offers 15 mins and refuse to budge so now have a huge fine to pay and we have no apps to buy.
I'd glady pay a $1.49 for it. This site has sorted out so many issues for me in the last month alone for it to be worth it
I think it's ridiculous to pay for an app to access a webpage that you can use perfectly fine for free in a browser. I found that none of these forums work well with the stock browser, but once I downloaded dolphin I find that the forums work fine, and I don't have to pay for any apps, or clutter up my device with an app that has no real use beyond what the browser already does.

about rooting

I just wanted to give my opinion about rooting, I'm sure a lot of people like to do so, but on this device I don't think that you need to, I did a root on my .gs1 because of lag, then my arc needed more then root lol but my sgs 3 so far the best phone that I ever seen, not perfect, but as for lag, battery life, speed its top!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
There a a ton of reasons to root besides lag.
I have an app that requires root that keeps my clock in sync with the actual atomic clock time. The system clock will, over time, be too fast or too slow which means that eventually my phone is a few minutes off.
I have an app that requires root that is used to freeze/quarantine bloatware.
I have an app that requires root that allows me to backup not only my applications, but the application data as well.
I also enjoy root for custom ROMs and kernels that have less lag/stutter than the phone normally does (and yes, this still applies to the Samsung Galaxy S3).
There are always reasons to root.
I understand, I'm not saying not too, for me if the phone is good I'm leaving it stock
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Root no >> then no Nandroid and No TB no Ad Blocker . No push apps .

Rooting has absolutely nothing to do with reducing lag or anything at all performance wise.
Rooting just gives you superuser permissions on your device.
Even if you are running an octo core phone with 5gb of ddr3 ram, rooting still offers benefits.

I fail to see the reason for this topic.
You choose not to root your phone and seem to have no idea what rooting actually means.

Galaxy Phones are hard to hardbrick (not revivable through simple software and/or a 2$ USB-Jig)
By following the instructions in the General section ('following' meaning 'reading', not 'assuming' or 'trying') you're on a quick and painless root.
