I am using using an Android Virtual Device with 2.2 firmware, with user data wiped.
I created a simple Android application with Eclipse+ADT plugin. When I launch it from ADT, it installs itself on the virtual device perfectly and works just fine.
Now when I upload the .apk file of the application to the web and type that address into the address bar of the browser, it says "Starting download" and a download animation appears on the top bar of the device.
However, the animation is animated only for a second or two. Then it simply stops moving. The application doesn't finish installing (not sure it even started). The download icon stays on the top bar and if I try to download and install again, a new one appears on the top bar and everything happens all over again.
Untrusted sources are turned on. I've attached an image that has the icon that the frozen download leaves on the top bar.
The keyboard keeps closing itself in a L7 P705. It happens in any app.
It has the China Beijing Unicom official ROM V20C (Android 4.1.2) and both the LG stock keyboard and the Google official keyboard that you may know is available from Play Store keeps closing itself while you're typing, or simply doesn't open when you tap a text field, or also happen to blink about 4 times in the screen then vanishes and remains closed. It happens regularly and the keyboard only returns you put the smartphone away for some time or restart it.
The phone has everything stock and the only thing I uninstalled was the LG task manager (via the app manager). Has anyone experienced the same? It has been recently reset to factory settings so I don't think doing this again would solve the issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated! :x
try to open the keyboard apk,not xtracting just open and copy the lib files with root explorer or with any other filemanager with root permission to system lib and set permission to rw-r-r-- and reboot.
Since I can't get into the google market right now (see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2393400 ), I thought I would check out Aptoide.
The app installs fine. When I run it, it comes right up.
If I click on a link to an application from the front page, it goes to the details for that app. Then when I click install, it begins the download but fails with a network connectivity error.
If I click on the search button, the search box comes up and I put in the name of an app. Then when I hit the search button on the keyboard my nook reboots.
logcat attached.
For about a month now the cm updater will not download updates. It notifies me of them, but if I tap the download button it won't start the download. It's not a problem with my Internet as I can download the files from the cm download page using Opera. Also, if I put the downloaded file into /sdcard/cmupdater it detects it and lets me install it. I've got working supersu and have tried running the sdcard fix app. Any help/suggestions?
Thanks.
Turns out this isn't a bug with CMUpdater, but with the whole ROM not being able to write to /sdcard as I documented in a new thread here.
After flashing the latest stable ROM (xiaomi.eu_multi_HMPro_V8.5.2.0.MHQCNED_v8-6.0.), the gallery wont open. if i tap on it, it just closes immediately. And if i open the camera and open the preview of the photos, it just closes too. HELP
Try flashing back the ROM you were using previuosly, also check the permissions foe gallery if possible
