Does anyone know what this update is all about? Wouldn't want to update anything that might make it difficult for me to root my phone later.

Just go ahead and install, these updates don't patch the OS if that's what your asking

It enforces security policy's , like policies in Windows (if you're familiar with that)

Received this notification for my note 4 as well today and I'm hesitant to install it.

I still haven't installed it.

I would not update until I see some benefit from it

Just checked my apps in the market to update and this is no longer listed.

Thx, I download a stagefright viewer and then I got this
Later on,I have edited the build.prop,rebooted the device and then I got this
I want to fully disable the stagefright bug,please help[emoji26]

Then flash a CM 12.1 based rom or wait for Samsung to release a fix.

I will wait for samsung , and according to the stagefright viewer,it is not necessary to fully disable stagefright?

MM update here!?!?

According to Sammobile, the N910t3 version should be reviving the update now. I have the 910T version but the server says it's at its daily limit and to check back again. The Note Edge also is receiving it, apparently. I have a good feeling that once the server comes back up the 910T will have it as well. It's not showing on Sammobile.com or Smart Switch yet.

for me, RR, AICP,MOKKE,CM13, which works

This doesn't work for me with any custom rom.

At least on CM13 it didn't work for me. This is an anoying bug wich keeps me on MIUI for the moment.

You have to try it , if you brought your phone recently , it probably has new hardware as in (manufactures of the hardware) .
But trying will not break or phone or anything .

so it still use Cynogenmod Kernel, will it be inheret bug from CM build?, i'm not dev just an user who loves flashing, may (just maybe) i think it would be better if it use AOSP/AOKP based kernel (this just my opinion)

It will be exactly Cyanegenmod with different brand So changed boot animation, some app names maybe and some services removed. Maybe it will be possible even to dirty flash it over CM nightly to update
