Hello all, Jamie here. After nearly a year long break from Android the hunger for haxxin has gotten the best of me and I'm back at it again. Some Sprint users may recall my work from the Evo LTE (jewel) or the venerable OG Evo (Supersonic). I've since moved to T-Mo, and been thoroughly enjoying my M8, an incredible device by any measure.
For those unfamiliar, I'm an aosp guy, and that's where my passion is. That being said, here's what I'm up to...
With all the variety available amongst the great aosp ROMs out there, I've turned my focus to optimizations. Through tool chains, build flags, and code optimizations (there's a multitude of commits by extremely talented developers available), I've begun building ROMs for my own pleasure using TC's, Opts, enhancements, etc, and applying them to various ROMs.
I've come up with, what I feel, is an outstanding combination of the best optimizations, along with toolchains such as Sabermod/Linaro, thumb optimizations like ArchiDroid, and a variety of tweaks, that enhance nearly any ROM I've found to build.
So I'm going to release builds for a multitude of custom ROMs, and include this mash up of tweaks. Because I like to share, and learn. That's where you come in.
I need some testers, preferably T-Mo or ATT users located in the US. Must have a working knowledge of adb with ability to capture logcats related to issues they find. It is simply not possible to thoroughly debug a ROM by one's self. Hit me up here by PM, or on G+ (preferred).
If the consensus matches my own, (possibly biased), opinions, we will release for public use what may be, the most highly optimized/refined ROM available to date. Starting here with the M8. All credits go to the respective developers for the optimizations/roms/tweaks respectively and the many hours and passions they devote to this wonderful hobby.
The assimilation has begun.

That's all I've ran aside from my own private builds. Been addicted to Sinless ROM for the most part. Mr.Jaydee has been doing wonderful things. There's a reason I'm inclined to share this however.

Only reason I said from US is I had removed all languages and locales, I can accommodate. HMU as specified in the OP

Also, looks like N5 is a go as well, which is good for what I'm trying to do. We are 20% complete on assimilation, for those already testing (first off, thanks), you haven't seen anything yet. Sorry for the dev-host links, I'll be opening beta threads on the Team Nocturnal site soon as possible.
Testing will be restricted to those who have helped here, and TN beta testers... Until we hit 75% assimilation... Then public threads on XDA will open, builds for various languages/locales will be by request and we aim to please. [emoji6]

I'm genuinely surprised nobody else is putting ROMs together with the sabermod tool chain.
Last time I tried it, it definitely made a difference.
Looking forward to this. AOSP scene on the M8 has been pretty stale.

Kind of looking like this will be a hybrid, Linaro 4.8.4 ROM side, SM 4.10 kernel side... Them ArchiDroid thumb optimizations though... Insanely great.

Hey thanks, good to see a familiar face. This little project is mostly just to get me back in the game, so to speak. Team Nocturnal has some things brewing though, pretty sure NOSP is gonna make some waves. Hard not to with the guys involved. Good times are coming.

Always needing more testers. This will come to XDA, only about 15% complete as it stands now, (works been taking away from my haxxin time), soon as we hit 90% assimilation, thread will be brought to XDA as well. Along with several other builds...

Hopefully this is still a wip. Just curious.

If you watch the video, it seems that he works for a company hence the (betaNews.com) and received early access to post review/unboxing. Similar to other tech Youtubers

Yes. Hello. For those who have followed my "ignorant" and "arrogant" post of release date on the 17, I apologize. I did not receive my Galaxy Note 4 (Obviously) however *side note, I did receive my iPhone 6 Plus 128GB on Verizon wireless business account on Friday* Moving on, since officially the White Galaxy Note 4 ships on the Oct 31, will most people go into the store next Thursday and purchase the white or Black. For those who already purchased the White online at Verizon, will you cancel your white order and walk in or wait for 31st.

[Q] Can someone with Titanium Backup help me out? Very easy...

Hey guys!
I wear a Beltone hearing aid and they recently came out for an app that let's my hearing aid connect with a Galaxy S5 so I can control the volume level and various other things. I do not have a S5 and they have told us it could be awhile until it's available for other devices.
I know it's a long shot, but I was hoping someone could download the "Beltone HearPlus" app and make a titanium backup so I can try installing it on my Nexus. It's worth noting that there are TWO "Beltone" hearing aid apps and only one of them is what i'm looking for.
There is the "Beltone Smart Remote" app and that is NOT the one I need. That app is available for any device to download. The one i'm looking for is specifically the "Beltone HearPlus" app.
If anyone is willing to help me with this I would happily PayPal you $10 for your time whether it works or not.

From my reserch the app that you are trying to find is for the iPhone only as of now. They did release the news that it will be coming to android bit not until February of 2015. Maybe you're thinking of some built in functionality with the s5?

There already is an app in play store, called Beltone SmartRemote, but it's not the same app.
I'm guessing either they're releaseing HearPlus in the coming days and jumped the gun on publishing the news.
Or HearPlus for S5 really is out, but only in the Samsung/Galaxy appstore and/or only in the US.

1 On your S5 search for Beltone or HearPlus in Play store and in Samsung Apps / Galaxy Apps
2 If you find app share APK here

What is the point of you repeating what others have said?
It's already been said, you don't need to waste time and effort on repeating it.
Especially when it's incorrect, as far as the february release myth goes.
Beltone has already said on their official blog that HearPlus is out now on the S5.
Not SmartRemote which is old news and I've also just posted a link to the playstore, there's no need for an apk.

What's your point? I got that link for the app off the beltone site where the announcement was made. Figured I would toss it up if its something he's unable to get from his local. But next time I'll ignore the post because I might get a snarky comment from some douche in sweden.... I searched the American Galaxy app store BTW and came up with the same result. Hi I am also trying to get the apk. I am a beltone dispenser and have been trying to get this for android I have done some playing around with the aids and have gotten them to pair to my note 4 but when I go to the link above it says it's not compatible with my device I think the people could probly fix this before beltone at least for the rest of us samsung uses. I would be willing to play around and see if we can get it to work

Unlock Moto X 1st Gen Bootloader on Android 5.1 (XT1060)

Hello! I've managed to find a way to get the bootloader unlock code from Motorola's website when you input the fastboot oem get_unlock_data command. I've tested this on my XT1060 (******* link will direct you to video proof). Please watch the video before asking any questions. It will work for all other variants of the Moto X 1st gen since it goes through the Motorola site.

There are more than one people named Brandon, it isn't limited to one person named Brandon in the world in case you didn't know. Although that isn't me. Yes my name is Brandon, and I'm assuming their name is Brandon too, but we aren't the same person. Yes. I want a genuine forum. One of the threads is going well.

A20 different ROM version
So I found out my ROM is different from others. Some options aren't available on mine like Smart capture for instance when you screenshot. After the screenshot on other A20's or android generally you get options to edit instantly or scroll capture but on mine and some others I've seen the option isn't available it's just saves to gallery instantly like android 7.0... I've gone to gestures etc and the option isn't there. This is an SEA version of the A20 btw A205F. Idk why they'd remove it. I tried flashing another ROM through samfirmware and Odin but it keeps failing. I've unlocked bootloader etc but it still fails.
PS: I'd have created a different thread but I don't have enough posts to do so yet.

Are you sure you have fully unlocked the bootloader? I thought that toggling the switch in developer options was all that was needed but you need to do more steps to fully unlock it.
This step here is what I mean at 2:13. Did you do this step?

Yes I have, I gave up after resetting and attempting multiple times. I'd change the phone next month yeah...

Have they both had the June upgrade?

@physwizz Maybe we could share an A10 / A20 /A30 forum since these are very similar phones that won't get much interest individually but jointly, the interest may be sufficient?

The A30 already has its own forum, but a good idea.

@physwizz Exactly and the number of threads and activity is pretty low so plenty of room to muscle in on the action.

Yes they both have, it's been that way from the beginning. Guess different regions different ROMs

Is it possible to merge the Galaxy A20 with the Galaxy A30? They're very similar.

Is one of these the SM-A205u. That seems to be the odd one out. Different to the rest for some reason.???

That can work ok when it's done from the start... a forum set that combines a few devices.
However, adding more devices into an existing forum (A30 in this case) can get quite messy. Existing threads in the A30 forum won't necessarily have A30 in their titles because they have no need to currently (they're all in the A30 forums).
Then if we just add a single sub forum under the existing A30 for the A20 it can be messy because not everyone will know to look for the A20 in the A30 forum.
Sounds good and it has been done before but it's not really an ideal solution.

A20's SoC is weak or theres some problem with mine , Takes a lot of time for app installations from play store . Almost 2 minutes for apps like PayTM .

Relatively slow.
my Redmi note 5 does it in about 30 seconds.
