Joying JY-UMS01N2D Custom Malaysk Rom - Android Head-Units

Dear Forum
Afaik, Malaysk did some custom roms for different Joying HU devices.
I bought the JY-UMS01N2D (With the Mainboard FYT6021), Running on an Itel Sofia with Android 6 and the so called "digital amp".
Does anybody knows, if one of the existing custom roms from Malaysk fits for this unit?
btw: That's what Joying wrote to this topic "3) Please don't upgrade ROM from Malaysk on forum xda-developers or upgrade with other firmware which is not provided by Joying."
regards & many thanks

i dont believe there are any custom roms for the Intel units.

Some heavy progress is going on though. https://forum.carjoying.com/thread-1377-current-state-of-hackishness-.html Keep your eyes on it.

Hi,
thanks for the hint, I'll keep an eye on it.
Another question, maybe someone knows the answer;
-Does the standard iGO Nav works with the radio TMC? Or if not , would it work with hyperGPS or Omnia TMC?
regards

All those nav apps use HD-Traffic or alikes via a WiFi/data connection. Not via TMC.

Hi surfer63
Would eventually hyperGPS or Omnia TMC be the solution?
It's a pitty, that the unit does not brings an ootb functionallity with it. In my case, I use it offline only.

I don't know. Google gives successful hits for both but these are all old.

ok once the sept/nov update is done, I'll give it a try...
btw; do you suggest rooting the device before or after the update?

QuickGPS CAB File?

Hi there,
got a prob with QuickGPS and TomTom.
First TomTom says "no gps device" (or something like that - I use the german one). Tried everything, without success.
Then I tried to update QuickGPS. Download starts, but "crashes" before reaching 100%. Tried a lot, even via ActiveSync etc etc.
So I tried some QuickGPS Cab File from somewhere on the web. Installed it, tried to start it, without success, as it is not signatured digitally.
So deinstallation of this version, and now even the old one is lost.
My question:
1. Can anyone supply me with the official QuickGPS CAB of the latest official ROM (2.32...)
2. Can anyone supply me with the certain reg-info?
Thx in advance! About to face a hard reset - but not willing to...
I would advice you just to redo the last firmware.
You will be getting your Quickgps back.
There might be someone on here with a better idea, but most likelly you will be ending up with hard resetting anyway.
Doing it right now. Somehow this problem seems to be a pretty common one, but noone in all those forums ever placed a working solution. Bad luck, as I have had a lot of tools setup pretty well... But hey, thats windows!
What version of TomTom do you have? If tomtom says no device then you have to check your port(4) and baud(4800) settings and make sure you use the internal gps.
I had the same problem but
Mine is a HTC clone... I had the same problmes .
Quick GPS does not work at all at the clone, since they use another gps
( Hardware). But i got tom tom running using in the configuration the Bluetooth device on com port 3 , with 9600 .
There was a alternative Software for quick GPS, but, i am sorry, i forgot the name. Google may help.

GPSToggle, a Today screen plug-in, works well well with Jade Clones. I have attached the CAB file to this reply. You will find a full discussion of GPSToggle in this thread:

I just hope i never get your problem with mine. Im getting one in a couple of days. One of the reasons why im upgrading from my dash is so i don't have to use my bluetooth gps.
Wish me luck!
EDIT:
Well I got my phone and I've got the problem. I wait forever and i never get a lock!! What should I do?
EDIT:
Yay it works now . It was pretty obvious to fix it in the end (If it is called fixing) There is a program called quickgps in the startmenu. Press download and it downloads details about the satellite so its easier for the gps to get a lock. I have only walked around testing it and it seems to be working good so far

HD2 and TomTom 7 - problem installing

Ok I've finally taken the plunge and just received my new HD2 from T-Mobile. Everthing works ok and even to a cynic like myself it is one impressive machine but with one issue. I can't install TomTom 7.
As soon as it tries to auto config it displays the message:
"Your device is not compatible with this version of TomTom NAVIGATOR!"
(Their message - not my typing...)
Any ideas? It worked ok my Touch HD running a 6.5 ROM from Miri and I've noticed others appear to have it working. The HD2 is running OS version 21864.5.0.81, ROM version 1.43.110.2 WWE and radio is 2.04.50.22_2 if that helps.
Any assistance greatly appreciated of course!
Is true!
If you go in tomtom device compatible web page you see that HD2 isn't copatible, I have sent an email ant tomtom said me that you must see this page when change you can download a new version compatible.
P.S: There is a version that work with Hd2 but you must delte 2 dll and in tomtomhome hd2 is not recognize
While it is true that Version 7 isn't supported, it dose still work well with a couple of exceptions.
1. It can be done by transfering the CAB file to the device and then installing it manualy, but not through the ActiveSync installer.
2. The version I had for my Orbit2 KILLED the bluetooth on the HD2. It's a fairly easy thing to rectify, just need to delete the file \Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll and then Reset the HD2, but it caused a few headaches.
3. I've read that some people reccomend the 7.91 version of tom tom, but that version 7.45 works well also.

Cheers but it didn't work.. Yes I tried running the cab file manually from the 2577 folder but still it came back with the same message. I am using version 7.91 as well.. Very frustrating as I use the Sat Nav a lot!

Actually just found that link as you posted. I've managed to get it installed but now it's asking for my map activation code which at the moment I can't find in my filing system....
Thanks for the help/link anyway!
I have Tomtom 7 working try doing a search for TomTom_Navigator_7.916.9189_VGA.
Tony, had the same problem, it's possible to get the software installed using a cab file but then you can't activate your purchased map files without hooking the device up to TomTom Home.
It's sadly a case of waiting for TomTom to officially support the HD2 at which point an update for TomTom Home should allow us to connect and install.
I tried emailing them again today for an update but they just said keep watching -> http://www.tomtom.com/products/section.php?ID=898&Section=709&Lid=1&Category=2
Im using ttn7.915.9196.vga_black.cab which is working fine for me on mine.
Currently using 7.916-9189 vga-black.cab with ukroi 835-2421
had to rename the 2 bt.dll's by adding old to the end of them using resco file explorer and then used BsB Tweaks to get it to auto rotate..
some dudes report issues with the radio using this method but as I dont use headphones (only bluetooth) I haven't even checked to see if the radio works. Now researching/downloading other sat nav applications and waiting for my 16gb card to come so I can try some others out...rapidly running out of room on the stock 2gb card
@EssexboyRacer.
Are you able to connect to TomTom Home?
If not, how did you activate your map file(s) please?

Thanks for all your input and help guys.
I too had the same response from TomTom as Lei Chat and will keep an eye on the page specified but it is a bit of a pain in the a*** when you have shelled out good money and then can't use it!
As a stop gap I spent ages trying to get the "ttn7.915.9196.vga_black.cab" route working but I've finally cracked it tonight. At least I now have it up and running until the "official" way is available...

Hi, Can you share how you cracked it because I've tried as much I can but still not up and running. I manage to get "ttn7.915.9196.vga_black.cab" installed but when trying to run it's says it isn't a valid device or something. So there I am with a full TT7 Western Europe and no go!
Cheers

Then the Dasaita is obviously not compatible. I assume it is totally built for Joying.
Did you try VLC?
Yes, I have VLC
I used to own a joying unit and really like their player, i wanted to see if i could install it on my new dasaita.
Thanks again

TS10 Uis7862 - Android Car - Update and questions

Good morning ,
I allow myself to contact you because I bought this android car last summer for my renault megane 3
I have many qustions :
-Are there updates available? Because when I try to search for shift it finds nothing
- possible to deactivate the black screen when I backtrack? (I did not connect the camera because it is useless to me)
- Which gps application should be installed to have the gps on the default theme? Indeed I can't put google maps and waze works badly on the theme.
I found an example photo on the internet. I'm talking about the top right location for the gps
Thank you so much
