Is there something I can download (maybe an Android app) to black out the system? What I mean by this, is to have a system-wide black background in the Android Settings app as OnePlus does.

So to make it short. When you install any app with black icon like offitial 9gag app from market try to scroll left and right in app drawer and yo will see black trail behind icon. It also happens in some apps with blaxk background and in galery with zoom in and out. I wonder is it amoled issue or just software. Just try it for your self. And if sombody is on aosp try it too so we know if you have it too.
It's called smearing and it caused by the fact that the pixels are simply turned off when the display need to show black color.
The screen isn't quick enough to "wake" the black pixels so it looks like smearing on the display.
Google ROM doesn't have it, because Google replaced the black with grey, so dark that it almost looks like black. If you set your brightness to full though in a dark room you'll see it's grey. This way your pixels will never be turned off
Me Gusta!
Does it have to do with refresh rate?

Hi guys,
So I've just installed the latest S8 update, which killed the color picker for the navbar and essentially gives you all white colors (Screenshot attached). Even if I use "Apply current theme", it's still white in some apps (e.g. Play Store, Instagram, Snapchat, Whatsapp many more). So I've downloaded "Navbar Apps" and it does the job of getting my navbar to a full black, but only sometimes. Im using a dark theme and have been using black navbars since they existed (why does Samsung even have white ones lolol) and navbar apps doesn't work 50% of the time and doesn't have the "ripple" animation when pressed, so I would really like a stable, solid black navbar. Any ideas? Thanks!
Same thing here...
The best thing would be to make it translucent IMO.

Lol, thanks that actually worked (although I had to sacrifice the ripple animation). Still looking for a more seamless way to fix this though. To anyone interested: here's how I set it up (Screenshot attached). Can't really notice the translucency, but it looks black and that's what I'm going for.
Cheers!
As title says, is there any way too get black version / black background when surfing the web, too preserve more battery life. I dont see any option within app that could do that? (like Google crome has it)
So presuming no replies cause its not possible?
i mean private mode kind of does that but not to the extent where it would just turn the pixels completely off. I know that themes don't skin the Internet app so I'm guessing only through root.
Today I updated my Blu Vivo 5R to the newest version of Android available for it, but now I have a problem. Before i updated my phone, I was messing with the Chameleon app (to change the colors of my apps such as phone and settings) and I decided to leave it with a dark green color; What I didn't realize is that the letters are barely readable with that color. So I updated my phone and now that app is gone, and my only way of changing those colors.
Is there a way to install that app again or to change the colors using another method?
I would suggest getting the apex launcher u can change font and icons etc
Greetings,
Is there a way to set a white background with black letters for notifications on Wear OS. I know there are some 3rd party apps, notification replacements which can do that, but can it be done somehow on stock notification system. On watches, everything is about saving battery, so dark mode is logic but it's very hard sometimes to read notifications outside on a bright light..
